Dead Space is a good game. And graphics haven't improved that much in 14 years so it's not like there'll be a dramatic difference between new and old.
It'll be a decent upgrade for PC players mainly since the original PC port is kinda shit and buggy.
Bunch of their leads in the studio have been involved on badly received games here on Ganker. That and Callisto exists and it's boring as frick when all they have to show for the remake is a 5 hour stream with 20 secs of prototype gameplay showing sound propogation or something.
I get they're being open about the development but it's hard to get excited for such a slow dripfeed.

i can testify that the pc version is piece of ass shit
what's wrong with it? played through it a few weeks ago at 4k/60/max no problem. heard there was some mouse acceleration issues but honestly it's a console game and was easy enough on a controller

1. It's a remake of a modern game
2. It looks worse than the original in some of the available footage, with typical soulless modern lighting and plastic materials
3. It's made by EA

Because of been paying the barest amount of attention to the modern AAA vidya industry? What exactly do you expect from these morons? Besides Dead Space still looks good enough because of how they did the lighting so it's not like it pains me to play it.
