IDK man, economically wise and public sexual degeneracy wise yes, but we live in the fricking easiest time.
I'm a bottom feeder wagie working for starbucks and I'm able to do 0 cooking, hire a cleaner and spend all of my free time with friends and gaming and little else.
Couldn't do this shit 20 years ago and survive/be able to own nice things.

          >I'm a bottom feeder wagie working for starbucks and I'm able to do 0 cooking, hire a cleaner and spend all of my free time with friends and gaming and little else.
But are you happier for it?
The world is worse now than even 20 years ago specifically because we get all of these amenities but we're less free than ever to use them. We rent most of the things we need to survive, the things we need to survive change and become more expensive by the day, and hiring a cleaner to do cooking used to be called a 'wife'.
You are less happier because you are less free in general. You may have more gadgets but those gadgets are used to trap you.

I'd say I'm pretty happy, all I want is my best friends and my vidya and to be able to go out hunting or drinking or whatever with them.
Most of the unhappy people I've met seem to be lacking in the social department/no hobbies or chasing stupid material bs that has no value like old cars or wanting a giant empty ass house and the like.

That is what every generation says. Years from now, today's zoomers will be tomorrow's old men pining for the glory days. They will fondly look back on the games you deride as trash. This is a cycle that has been going on for millennia, and will continue for as long as humanity exists. It's just how we're wired.

              >That is what every generation says.
Every generation living in it's best times doesn't have problems like we do. The problems we face is much more reminiscent of the fall of the Soviet Union. And yes, state media in the soviet union said literally exactly the same thing you did to banks collapsing, people getting fired, and food becoming scarce.

It's happening in a lot of countries due to inflation and lack of proper fulltime jobs. The system is getting stuck and the poorest people will face the worst of it because a high percetange of them can't reach the middle-class anymore even if they wanted to and have to earn scraps by working several parttime jobs to survive. We also have several highpaying "jobs" now that are completely worthless to the society. There's already several tiktok influencers and onlyfans type of people who are millionaires by contributing absolutely nothing to anyone.

Suicide rates are going up in every country because of this because it's a lot harder to get up and have a proper career or a life.

          >That is literally what every single generation feels
Patently untrue. The Baby Boomer generation legitimately enjoyed their adulthood which could be seen by their standard of living at the time and Gen X's childhood at the time.

We're simply watching our standards of living fall below the rate where people wouldn't complain about it.

Every gen complains about the loss of morals and values, but none of them complained about their kids having an easier, comfier life.

We're the first generation to witness a loss in quality of life, that's a significant difference.

Pop culture references are literally half of the point of the big 3 build engine games, which Ion Fury is obviously riffing on. My only problem with it is that it's less focused than Duke (Action movie references), Shadow Warrior (Kung Fu and anime references) and Blood (horror genre references). Ion Fury doesn't really have a theme for its references, maybe it's slightly more weighted towards cyberpunky ones or something.

          Anonymous

Ion Fury's references used to be action game references instead of specifically action movie.
At least it used to be before they got cold feet and now they just throw in whatever.

add that to how culture shifted so fast, in older times people's lives didn't change that much with time, but the 80s, 90s and 20s are like a completely different world for us

I think we were too harsh on the 10s, at least it felt like a unique definitive era. Hipsters and streetware. The 20s so far has legitimately just been regurgitating the past wholesale.
