It's really not that different, SWSH's 3rd trailer was early July. The big presentation explaining the game in-depth is just coming at a later time like last year.
Actually in the last 2 gens the 2nd batch of info was in July and only revealing new pokemon. The gimmick usually came in August.

They barely show anything for the first few months, and then they spoil the whole game 2 weeks before release (pretending the game has more than what they spoiled to get you hyped up and buy it... and then it turns out that what they have shown is 80-90% of the game.
