RE4 is 10 hours long ago if you suck, XIV is most likely going to be 100+. Do the math.
RE4 on hard takes around 15-20hrs and incentives replay with good unlockables. You can easily get 100hrs out of it. One playthrough if XVI and you'll be burnt out.

FF is always like 70% cutscenes.
They take the same approche as FFX and I like it.

This game could be so good if they cut out 50% of the cutscene and made the gameplay more expository, you could skip 99% of the tutorials because almost everything is self evident, context based tutorials that just say “press square to attack” and learning that you can combo on your would encourage experimenting with gameplay
It’s good, but there are so many obvious ways it could be better if they just trimmed the fat
