It's the same with bouldering and climbing. A lot of is that when you get past a certain level, it requires decent levels of maintenance with a lot less social validation. Unless you are a youtuber, nobody is going to interact with you that much on a higher level climb or even really watch you to learn. Most of the time you are on your own or working towards IRL climbs or competition climbs which are mostly blind.
The transgender person for whatever reason cannot maintain this, either they fail with their body or get complacent on their slightly above average plateau. A recent one at my climbing gym shit talks and gets angry at a purple haired homosexual pro who encourages and helps people. He goes out of his way to lower climbs to be nice while practicing. The woman just complains about overhangs when the climb wasn't but because they didn't get social validation they'd rather ape out and stay on a above average but not hard level.
A couple of transgender people have died doing bouldering and I wonder if a lot of this is eventually they go for something above their validation level with ego and frick up.
Many of them don't take proper rests either and always look like they have to be on a wall or doing something.
