Why is there so many posers when it comes to FPS online games? So far the lot of you shit on
>Overwatch
>Fortnite
>Valorant
>Apex Legends
>Cod
>Halo
Well what the frick do YOU play? What online FPS games are better than these games? Because clearly you must be a master at some obscure FPS game. Name em.

FPS games died with CoD4.
You mean CoD 2 on PC, rifle only servers in the Russian snow, before online shooters became tacticool trannies running about with neon bling bling guns their parents bought them
The only online FPS I play anymore is Battlefield 1. There's been plenty of good single player FPS with the whole boomer shooter revival, but the online landscape is a sea of mediocrity and predatory monetisation.
Mag
fps is dogshit for morons
tps is superior in every way
pvp third person shooters are moronic. People will just peak corners and wait.
being able to shit on the games you play means you can be honest, instead of a shill drone
i play cod and fortnite, im not afraid to admit it though because i dont give a shit about validation from anonymous morons. just play what you want and make threads about it, you'll have people who actually want to contribute reply and you can just ignore the people who don't.
big difference between shitting on a game you play and shitting on it because you want to fit in on here, you knew what op meant
i dont play them anymore because they got bad
People who shit on Overwatch probably play Valorant.
People who shit on Apex Legends probably play Fortnite.
People who shit on CoD probably play Halo.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
i shit on all of those but play none of them
I've played all of them except Valorant and eventually decided they were all not worth playing. I was a Halobaby, late 20's now, and I was playing every popular game with friends growing up and stuck with the genre until it reached the point where every new game just felt like a repackage of an existing game. If I could turn back time I would still waste my life on games but I'd play RTS because they have a lot of mechanical depth while with FPS I could hand Apex to my 2008 self and he'd adjust to the gunplay immediately because it's the 50th iteration of the same shit as always. "I ADS with assault rifle and put red dot sight on head and slightly pull mouse down for recoil" wow fun.
CS 1.6
There is generally always a server up for most regions.
People are amusing, some mods are good, some mods are not, characters, trolls, etc. all make appearences.
Of course, the server will probably be 24/7 dust2. This is unfortunate...aztec...home
Tarkov
play squad and hell let loose
I play Overwatch and Unreal Tournament
*crack*
*sip*
Now Counter Strike Source, that was a proper FPS
What's a good FPS I can solo queue in and have fun? Notice how I don't say "and not get buttfricked right away, " because I don't mind low TTK, but I also won't throw out the suggestion of playing a battle royale, which I've never played before. Is there anything similar to the first iteration of Metal Gear Online?
I pay Hunt: Showdown and Gundam Evolution. (Gundam is basically dead already though)
Im on an FPS binge and I want some recs for single player FPS on steam. Like 6th and 7th gen hidden gems
RE7 and 8 are technically FPS games
I play old shit if I play FPS games. DoD:S, Plutonium (CoD), older Halo titles, Unreal. Pretty rare. Multiplayer gaming is waste of life, usually, so I do it sparingly.
Of course, I don't mind playing singleplayer FPS titles because they're usually short experiences. Multiplayer is designed to trap you forever and ever.
This you fricking zoomer
Name one game
Based. Fricking love gunning down muh patriotism whites and Black folk with an AK.
OP is a homosexual
I like TF2. I'm not good at it, but it's fun.
Hate Blizzard
Hate Epic and the cultural relevance we've given Fortnite.
Hate Riot.
>>Apex Legends
>>Cod
>>Halo
I'm indifferent towards these.
>Well what the frick do YOU play?
BF2042 with my friends
>better
It's not better. Just scratches a particular itch.
>and the cultural relevance we've given Fortnite.
Why?
When I played the 2042 beta it was trash, did they fix it?
It's gotten better but overall it still feels like a bunch of bandaids on a foundation that is not very solid.
The jump to 128 players just doesn't work and no amount of patches will fix that.
-their solution for the potential meatgrinder that would entail is adding more capture points
-but it doesn't work because most people congregate around 2-3 points
-more players means more vehicles but everyone can carry rocket launchers
-vehicles can called in whenever and their tankier than before and it creates an issue with vehicle spam for infantry and rocket spam for vehicle drivers
-packet-loss up the ass in any high player-count engagement
It still plays like a battlefield game and that's the itch I mentioned before. It still has that great feel of pulling off a "battlefield moment" with your friends when it works.
They have an upcoming class rebalanbce where they'll separate the operators into different classes (assault, recon, support and engineer) and they're limiting the gadgets and tools they can equip (primary weapons are still available to everyone). I'm looking forward to that but I'm worried that it'll throw vehicle balance out the window.
I say give it a go if you can sign up for EA's monthly service thing for cheap (or when they have a free weekend) and try it out. As always it's better with friends.
Halo 3/CoD 4 was the last era of pure fun with FPS games. It went all downhill from there.
Action Halflife.
What's the point of multiplayer games?
I really don't get it.
I'll say I had fun back in the day when I first got my Nintendo 64, everybody gathered around the television, but I think that might have been the novelty of games themselves and the people, rather than "multiplayer gaming".
unironically playing numw2 with mkb because halo infinite is unplayably laggy and mcc is fully dead and i am still sick of playing csgo for literally 6 years in a row and nothing else in that time
i hate overwatch. i find it to be just annoying to play because it doesn't feel like an actual fps game
never played fortnite and never will
valorant is ok but you move at half the speed of csgo on maps that are half the size of csgo
apex legends arena is decently fun but i think br is a bore
cod mp is just cod as always. kill people get killed. i think br was better in warzone 1 not because of anything the devs changed but because people play worse now. nobody goes around looking for fights in the midgame anymore so the endgame ends up having like 20 people in the space of a 50m diameter circle especially if the circle is in a city area
halo fell down a deep deep hole after halo reach and it's still stuck in there. though i have very fond memories of custom edition in particular and halo 3 and reach are pretty fun to play on pc even if the weapon balance is just worse because of pc (pc sniping is absurdly easy to the point of often completely destroying game flow and i don't remember the brute shot being anywhere near as good on console as it is on pc now)
TF2 and BF4
