The only people who hate on this game are either boomers that hate everything that came after the fifth gen or people who got filtered by the Wii. This is legitimately the most beautiful Mario game ever made, not even Odyssey comes close to it. This is the last Mario game where Bowser actually felt like a threat, a dude who gains control of major parts of the universe to fuel his new empire. It still shocks me how Nintendo made this on hardware that is basically just an overclocked GameCube. Not to mention the soundtrack, which is absolutely amazing in it's own right.

Look, I get that we all loved 64 growing up and your favorite YouTuber can't stop talking about it and it has a lot of speedtrannies, but it really isn't that good. If it was released today, it would be considered a tech demo and nothing more. It was just a blueprint game, an important game sure, but nothing more than a 3D tech demo.

Black person, I hate Sonygays as much as you but you can't have people live rent free in your mind like that. I've played all major 3D Mario games up to Galaxy 2, I enjoyed them all, but 64 has it's flaws. It's not a very polished game and it's story is absolutely minimal compared to even Sunshine. I legitimately thought Sunshine was better than 64 honestly. It just felt like a more polished experience.

That's literally the best game ever made.
Not as replayable. The only reason I liked it the second time was because it had been over 10 years. The gameplay wasn’t as in depth to warrant another Luigi mode run, which is carried by the faster races. Mario Galaxy is like Six Flags while Mario 64 and Sunshine are like Go-Kart tracks.
