Oh, it has puzzles too, big whoop. Most of the game is just you reading some logs. That's fine, but to say that there's nothing else like it is a stretch.
Because it's actually good and sticks in the minds of people who play it. With the dlc just coming out recently, it's had a fresh wave of people and others returning to it.
presentation matters. Most vidya players are conditioned to accept skeletons just lying around everywhere, but you get an answer after following the same path the curious nomai took
>introduce ghost matter at the start of the game >find it basically everywhere >know it fricks you up >also see Nomai skeletons and ruins everywhere >game then draws a line between the two that you never would've realized on your own
pretty textbook good storytelling
Yeah, the same two threads (the bigger discussion thread and this thread) with the same exaggerated praise of an okay game get created every day. Totally organic discussion.
Literally yes, I'm the OP of one of those threads. I waited for one to die and then started a new one last night because I beat the game the night before and wanted to talk about it. Why is that so hard to believe?
Fun space game. No real hand holding, and you're basically a sort of archaeologist, uncovering what happened to a civilisation before yours for the first part anyway.
How do I stop alt+f4 whenever the supernova happens? I've never felt more scared in a video game except for the occasional spacial outofbounds glitches
fresh puzzle game
Because its one of the most impressive games ever made.
Is it not enough that this board shits on every video game? You really can't stand people enjoying this?
cope sneed and dilate
Because it's a good game and people enjoyed it a lot
It's the only game that has made me feel something profound in my 25 years of playing vidya
because its a unique game
theres nothing else like it
It's just a walking sim with a time loop gimmick.
yeah ok
>It's just a walking sim
Do you just hate puzzle games? Because Outer wilds is anything buy a walking simulator.
Oh, it has puzzles too, big whoop. Most of the game is just you reading some logs. That's fine, but to say that there's nothing else like it is a stretch.
Name me a game with working gravity systems, fully exploratory planets, and a fricking actual functioning ringworld
Some people are actually here for video games rather than the latest /misc/-flavored shit posting.
Because it's actually good and sticks in the minds of people who play it. With the dlc just coming out recently, it's had a fresh wave of people and others returning to it.
I just like the game, anon.
Because it's a good game.
It's not just a game, it's a unique experience. I don't even feel like playing other games after it because they are all too shallow
Environmental storytelling, space travel, unique physics, exploration, death traps, puzzles, science fiction, astronomy, fear of the unknown, etc.
But it only for those that like to explore, piece things together by themselves, are stubborn and don't give up easily.
Its not a movie pretending to be a game.
You're right, it's a shitty sci-fi pulp novel pretending to be a game
but its good sifi tho
ATP is actually a really good idea if you have time travel
> And then they all simultaneously died because I dunno, a comet or something. The end.
Yeah, awesome sci-fi.

but there isn't a single cutscene
Paid shills. The recent threads started after they released the DLC.
>people talk about a game after it gets new content
>this must be paid shills, no other possible reason
Yeah, the same two threads (the bigger discussion thread and this thread) with the same exaggerated praise of an okay game get created every day. Totally organic discussion.
>exaggerated praise
Oh, are you one of these people who hates every game he plays? Sorry for not being sour like you.
Literally yes, I'm the OP of one of those threads. I waited for one to die and then started a new one last night because I beat the game the night before and wanted to talk about it. Why is that so hard to believe?
the game has zero replayablity, but sticks in your head
everyone who played it now has nothing to do but talk about it
Well then where is my payment?
probably because it's good
Fun space game. No real hand holding, and you're basically a sort of archaeologist, uncovering what happened to a civilisation before yours for the first part anyway.
/v/eddit and autism
I fell for it and this has to be the most boring and janky abortion of barely a game Ive played in years, I feel cheated
>shit
you are either dead inside or have braindamage
it's a walking sim that forces you to restart every 20 minutes to mask how vapid it otherwise is
wtf i thought i was doing something wrong
KINO
Its kino
Its fun
Its unique
Literally no other game
How do I stop alt+f4 whenever the supernova happens? I've never felt more scared in a video game except for the occasional spacial outofbounds glitches
Grow some balls, it's not real
Best adventure game that rewards your for exploring
>game has 3D world
>"Le Gmae rewards you for exploring!!!"
Probably because it's good.
