Why is Ubers the best meta game in nearly every generation?
Interested in series discussion, not >fanfic meta shitposts
My theory is that because Ubers has such centralizing factors i.e. Dragons, certain super strong mons, it has a healthier, simpler meta developed around it.

Ubers should just be the main metagame already. It's already considered competitive enough to be played in tournaments, and it hasn't been treated a mere banlist for almost a decade (at least).

It's 100% true for Gen 1 Mewtwo and Gen 8 Yveltal. Gen 1 Ubers is mostly about whose Mewtwo dies first, and in gen 8 you're practically required to have an Yveltal so you don't get buttraped by Calyrex-S.
Doesn't every Ubers metagame have their own equivalent of Gen 2 Snorlax?
That’s probably true for Gen 1 Mewtwo and Gen 6/7 Primal Groudon, and maybe Gen 8 Yveltal. I don’t think anything is on that level in gens 3 and 4.
Ironically mewbers is pretty fun because teams are largely symmetrical. Feels like a board game where each player has the same pieces and the goal is to outisraelite your opponent with gen 1 mechanics.
I thought Lati@s was mandatory in Gen 3?
Honestly I don’t have much knowledge of ADV Ubers so that may be true for all I know, but I was under the impression that Kyogre is the best Pokemon in ADV

Kyogre and Soul Dew Lati@s are mandatory in every serious Gen 3 ubers team. If you're missing both of them you just don't have enough power to compete, but you don't necessarily need both of them on any given team which is nice. Soul Dew was a really fricked up item prior to its nerf.

Ubers is the least fanfic of any metagame by definition with only the most basic restrictions and clauses.

Mewbers is more fun than Gen 1 OU.
mewtwo dittos are not fun
freeze wars are not fun
the metagame has its own charm and surprising variety, but it is centralized around even more repetitive and stress-inducing luck-based gameplay, could even call it more matchup-heavy/dependant too
