It's really tiresome. It;'s like they got an AI to do it.
Same with the gameplay - according to multiple reviews, you don't even control the battles, you just watch them lol.
Vanillaware's not an internal studio so they probably get second-class treatment from Atlus. They don't even get enough money to finish the games in the first place and end up paying out of pocket. You think that the publisher's actually going to step in for them?
>Vanilla ware don't have the resources to being it to PC
That's clearly not why they don't do it, as evidence of their publisher saying they want to do it.
The publisher says they want it. The publisher is also saying the developer, Vanillaware, does not want to make a PC version. It's the developer's resources that are the bottleneck because Vanillaware is like a few dozen people at most.
If the publisher is not helping the developer to have the resources they need for more audience reach, then what the frick is the publisher getting paid to do?
Every game is made on PC. Then it gets gimped so it will actually run well on a console. When a dev/publisher says they can't put it on PC they're lying. They just don't want to because it will be pirated to hell and back
It's funny because the report says the people pirating wouldn't have bought the game anyway so it doesn't affect sales.
So why should VW, with less than 150 staff, waste their time when 0 PC gamers would have bought the game anyway? The math doesn't check out for mid range devs and you just proved it
PlayStations and Xboxes 'are' literally just PCs. This isn't the Cell processor or PowerPC we're talking about, those days are long gone. It's easier than ever to make PC ports.
>don't have the resources to being it to PC
ESL aside, PS5 and Xbox both use the exact same architecture as PC. In fact, to release it on the Xbox store, there is a checkbox that releases it on the windows store, because it's the exact same architecture. Anything that runs on Xbox is one checkbox away from a PC launch. >how are you not understanding that?
You would be the ignorant one here.
Insomniac leaks show that bringing a game from PS5 to PC still costs quite a bit of money
sharing the ISA is one thing, you still have to port the entire thing over, make sure it works, implement new stuff like unlocked framerate, UW, tweak the camera for different FoVs (GoW devs went into detail how it's not that easy), work with nvidia and AMD to make sure it plays nice with their cards and drivers, get the game to scale over lower and higher thread counts than what PS5 has, implement code to dynamically generate shader cache on first launch, possibly tweak how much data is shuffled around in the game since consoles have shared 500GB/s GDDR6 with high bandwidth and high latency while on PC you have to shuffle stuff around with 60-120GB/s DDR5 etc etc this stuff starts to pile up
While you're right, none of that is relevant to Unicorn Overlord. >FoV
The game won't have an FoV setting >Data throughput
It runs on NSW, not an issue >Generate shader cache
Graphically this game is doing frick all, easily done >Unlocked framerate and UW
Like many Nip ports, this won't have an unlocked framerate or UW support, someone will find a way to mod in UW somewhere down the road. >Work with Nvidia and AMD
It's a 2D game, they won't need to do much if anything.
Thats more of a problem about them not forward planning the development of the game to begin with. In an era of porting games to the whatever next generation console lands, they're fricking up by not having the initial development handle those issues to begin with.
Someone needs to sort out that quote. There is a difference between >Vanillaware won't LET us bring it to PC
and >We don't have an agreement for how everything would be handled, we only hashed out the console shit so far. We can't do anything with PC until we have an agreement, signed by both Vanillaware and Sega/Atlus.
Sega will easily fund it. Hell, Atlus could fund it on their allowance from Sega. Not to mention bringing it to PC has the least costs for the platform.
>spend 1million porting to PC >sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it >discounted to $5 in a week >PCgays review bomb the game because it doesn't support memetracing >everyone cheats their way through the game
Yeah I can see why they don't want to fall for the PC meme
Whatever coma you woke up from, its no longer that year. Piracy is no longer a serious concern, Gaben dealt with this. Even JP publishers selling on PC do very well regardless of pirates.
>WHY IS VANILLAWARE moronic?!?!?!?! IT WOULD SELL GORILLIONS ON PC!!!!! >*Game gets announced for Steam* >Nice! Pirating day one!
We've been over this over and over again.
Tactics Ogre Remaster bombed on Steam.
Triangle Strategy bombed on Steam.
Repeat after me: >STEAMIES >DON'T >BUY >VIDEO >GAMES
For a small studio like Vanillaware sinking money into a Steam port with barely any return could prove catastrophic.
None of those bombed and they're still selling. Triangle Strategy took a long time to GET to PC so acting like you're a console tard that expects to make all their money in the first month after launch and then frick off is the problem. PC games continue to sell for years not only like children's toys at launch right before the holidays.
The example that makes me so bitter is The Wonderful 101. PCgays have shit taste and love eating garbage, so if your game isn't trash there's no point in porting it.
>The Wonderful 101
The game that sold a whopping 80k and is considered a failure bombed on PC even though it sold 20k, almost the same as the console versions did in Japan. Say it isn't so. TW101 is a pure bomba, failed for a reason.
W101 remastered got a frickload of sales - from kickstarter. Every PC player that wanted the game and knew about it backed it at KS . It not doing well after its launch was ENTIRELY on Platinum's stupidity >$40 price, so way above the 'what the frick i'll try it' price for an indie. >NEVER ADVERTISED IT ANYWHERE. WAS NOT IN GOLDEN WEEK SALES WAS NOT ON 3rd PARTY KEYSELLERS OFF ITAD ETC... nobody even knew about it and if they did >Rarely put on sale and if it was, a tiny percentage for a long time >Little DLC and would take time to come out. The one side scroller expansion set was neat eventually, but we should have gotten a proper Vorkken Mode with a story and everything.
It was a good game, but it was WiiU only in the past, then they fricked up advertising it to everyone who wasn't already a die hard fan. Its in no way PC's problem or anything else - a legit good game though.
Consoles and PC has parity now. Consoles use PC hardware, so they have no excuse for putting it on PC, except piracy, but even pirates eventually buy a gayme that's good.
>spend 1million porting to PC >sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it >discounted to $5 in a week >PCgays review bomb the game because it doesn't support memetracing >everyone cheats their way through the game
Yeah I can see why they don't want to fall for the PC meme
That's because the PC audience doesn't buy good games. They play their F2P slop and then mass-buy whatever shitty flavor-of-the-month meme game happens to win the proverbial lottery. Vanillaware makes actually good games so there's the tiniest random chance that that the PC sheep flock to it, but more likely it ends up not being worth the effort.
>They don't buy games they'd only pirate! >See they bought games that shows how bad they are!
???
Yes because tribal pc warrior comments are so much more mature.
There is nothing wrong with people wanting a game to be on their platform of choice. What you are doing is wishing for or cheering on the fact that a game is NOT on a platform.
32 concurrent players because the dragged their feet for years, released a buggy mess (it will never get patched), is ludicrously expensive, and is missing all DLC content >Developers then cite this as a reason why they will never port another game to PC and/or continue on with the series
Jap PC is only a meme because the Japanese still think it's 1985.
The fact that you’re asking for examples of this like you really think that would be a reach just proves that you don’t own a PC and have no idea what you’re actually on about.
In 1985 the Japanese PC gaming market was still frickhuge. PC was for a long time the platform of choice for the Japanese, until Microisraelite came in and ruined everything.
>spend 1million porting to PC (it's actually a couple thousand bucks, you hired a porting house from Laos with three employees and one computer to go between them) >sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it (the port basically doesn't work on a technical level, runs like shit even on modern hardware that can handle titles 10x as demanding, has locked resolution and framerate, no graphical options and is priced at 70 USD with no regional pricing) >discounted to $5 in a week (this step doesn't happen, jap publishers never lower their price on PC) >PCgays review bomb the game because it doesn't support memetracing (plus, y'know, all of the above) >everyone cheats their way through the game (there are game-breaking bugs that stop progression without workarounds, sometimes community fixes are necessary to run the thing at all; these bugs will never be officially addressed or fixed)
And you know what's funny? To a jap, this all makes sense, because they are culturally incapable of questioning their media.
This is the reason why mods are such a hot button issue with jap studios and their customers: they see it as disrespecting the creator's vision, not as fixing something broken or just exercising your own creativity/having fun with a product that you paid for.
Vanillaware can keep their attitude as long as their bottom line allows for it. As mentioned many times, Switch release = f2p PC release anyways.
>port to pc for much smaller cost than developing new game >sells millions of copies and reaches new audiences who like your work >game is safe from most privacy due to being on a service like steam and/or drm >game was almost unsellable before because of used copies, but suddenly you're getting tons of collectors >fans buy the game again so they can also have it on their steam account and they review it positively >your work is getting lots of positive attention again and getting new fans
Nope, better keep your games offered to as few people as possible, because... why should you want more success?
>No we don't want your money because we're afraid of the few people that will pirate it >Instead we'll leave you with the only way to play the game being pirated
Yeah. That's all moronic on the devs side here.
PC is a large market. Even if people will pirate it, as long as it is good they will sell it enough to get a large enough profit.
Also wasn't the Vanillaware boss actually in for PC versions of the company's catalogue last I heard?
This is a lie and you know it, also, all Vanillaware's games are made with 2D assets, so they wouldn't need to bother with settings, and considering the game is on the Xbox (x86 and directX API), the only reason they don't port it to PC is japanese cultural moronation, even Atlus themselves were like this until SEGA pointed a gun and made them port P4G to PC, selling 500k in a week changed their minds about the plataform.
This, but unironically and not for (you)bait. Helldivers 2 launches on PC and suddenly the discussion is >waaah this game is too hard >it costs too much I can't afford DLC >help me I have server issues and crashes waah
Console games should never bridge the gap to PC, because they are always entitled ingrates.
Fricking please vanilla ware fans are 30+ year old rich weebs. The pirates will always pirated meanwhile I'll buy all their games day one. I mean I went to TGS last year in hopes of seeing Unicorn Overlord.
That's kind of an odd take, we're not-- >remember I have two display cases filled with Vanillaware statues >own every LE they've put out >just turned 37 last month
Okay, maybe we are thirty-something rich weebs.
God I hate opening the steam discussions of any new Japanese game around release.
Every thread is either a third worlder or cheapass complaining about regional pricing, somebody b***hing about ultrawide or somebody b***hing about whatever DRM they use that won't matter since the game would run at 60fps on a ps3.
Tell that to capcom and all the other japanese publishers and devs who saw the writing on the wall and are making bank lamo
The time for consoles is over, vanillaware is just leaving a ton of money on the table and ensuring their games absolutely get pirated due to unavailability by doing this
>capcom and sega having the record breaking launches with their new installments of games that also just happen to release on PC day 1 >final fantasy VII remake part 2 ends up being the lowest selling mainline game since VI while being a PS5 exclusive
Because of how old FF7 is. I would have paid to have FF7 but it looks really good. We're not talking about something like Dead Space or other 7th gen games that still look fine.
I still remember how surprised Atlus was when they found out that pcgays are the only people that really want to buy a decade old game like p4g after that 1 millions sale within a week.
That's the point. All this scaremongering about piracy is moronic when both of these companies that have been traditionally console only developers have increased revenue by selling on PC.
If anything Vanillaware themselves are encouraging piracy of their games since the only way people can play the games on PC is pirate it on an emulator. Gabe Newell aptly sums up the piracy problem as a service problem since Steam was able to break into traditionally piracy only markets like Russia and Brazil by offering a good service
>spend 1 million porting to PC
Did you know, that if you're making a game on unreal engine, or unity, there's literally a button that says "Port this game to [insert platform here]", and you can get your game to work immediately on Switch, Mobile Devices and consoles? It is by no means perfect and you have to manually change UI elements and polish the control scheme, but other than that, it does almost all of the work of "porting" something over.
The game itself was developed on PC, consoles run on PC parts, the only thing that is different is the operating system
What the frick are you smoking?
What's with the blatant dishonesty? Anyone complaining about this wouldn't have bought the game or will pirate it because 'omegaLUL single player PC geam.' Vanillaware wasn't going to see a single penny either way
How can I play the video game if I can't buy it on my platform of choice?. Sure I can emulate it, but that's not the same as an actual, native port and supporting a developer that needs the money. You can pirate AAA slop all day every day, but not a Vanillaware title.
Yeah but why would anyone over the age of 10 want a Nintendo console? Are there any good games on it besides this one cool tactics battler and maybe Zelda games? No.
PC is used for work and gaming so there is a reason to own one.
Anon you have three choices,
Buy one of the systems the game is on
Pirate the shit
Or play something that is on your system of choice.
Getting on Ganker and complaining just makes you sound like a child.
You can also just like, ask Vanillaware, or Atlus. I don't understand why PCnogs whine on fricking Ganker and try to morally justify piracy to a bunch of other pirates who don't give a frick. Why not portbeg to someone who cares.
Don't forget, Dark Souls 1 got ported to PC because of a random petition.
Well 1. I don't care what I sound like.
2. Yes I'm aware of the choices, and I do pirate that shit.
3. The point of what I said is that I LOVE Vanillaware and it hurts me that they hurt themselves this way. I want them to succeed.

>want them to succeed
considering how much sales they'll get in Switch release judging by the tracker, they will be
For me it's PC only. I want to be able to mod the shit out of my games, I want to be able to use cheat engine if the game pisses me off. I want to be able to easily take screenshots and drop them in my discord without having to jump through hoops. PC just has advantages that consoles don't. Consoles are for people who don't want to tinker with the guts of their games.

>For me it's PC only.
then just don't play the game like
I've not played a single vanillaware game as none of them are on PC.
homie I ain't paying for a Switch just to play one game.
If Bloodborne couldn't be me to buy a console just for one game, it ain't this that's gonna do it.
Why not actually do what all emugays pretend they do and use the emulator for its """intended""" legal purpose? Buy the game, dump the backup, and play the backup on emulator.
This is the entire legal basis for emulators.
>supporting a developer that needs the money
Don't you think if they "needed the money" they would sell to as many people as possible, as opposed to apparently specifically having it in the contract between them and their publisher that none of their games should ever be sold on PC?
You are begging to give money to people who don't want to do business with you because they don't think the platform of your choice is a valid one. They look down on you.
You are pathetic.
Vanillaware is one of my favorite videogame developers, but I am PC only so the only way I will ever enjoy any of their games is via piracy and emulation. Sorry Nintendo, your underpowered gay baby console for babies doesn't appeal to men.
They could have put the game on PC to get my money.
Instead I will pirate it and play it for free in a Switch emulator. I mean It probably leaked like a week ago and people have already played it.
This. If you can't afford it you won't buy it. If its a shit game you won't buy it. If it's a good game and can afford it you buy it. Simple as. All those israelites here don't seems to understand how humans work, satan spawn indeed.
This. If you can't afford it you won't buy it. If its a shit game you won't buy it. If it's a good game and can afford it you buy it. Simple as. All those israelites here don't seems to understand how humans work, satan spawn indeed.
Baldur's Gate 3 Sales Have Exceeded 10 Million Copies Worldwide Across All Platforms, Larian Confirms. Baldur's Gate 3 sales have surpassed 10 million copies globally across all platforms, Larian's Director of Publishing has confirmed. Here you go Black person. If you want more go find it.
Only release date game I've pirated in the last decade was Hogwarts Legacy.
I was right to pirate because it was filled with DEI quota bullshit including a troony bar owner.
>Capcom uses Denuvo >PCgays have no choice but to buy their games >Sales are high
WOW anon, that wasn't so hard! Unfortunately, companies like Vanillaware can't afford Denuvo. So get fricked!
Sega gives Atlus a fairly long leash because they are regarded as one of the few remaining game devs left in japan that embody the industry that they helped create and Atlus in turn gives Vanillaware the same leash for said reasons and at the end of the day thats why Sega doesnt push because they clearly arent hurting if they are churning out remasters on PS and Nintendo and now are even releasing day 1 on xbox.
Be glad that SEGA recognizes the importance of PC and that they are continuing to force these studios to make the best business decisions for themselves whether they like it or not and through attrition and just economics that it will happen for the betterment of everyone.
Glad I have console and a pc. If you have money to buy a $2000 gpu, you can afford a console. Or just emulate whatever. Pc only fans are dome of the cheapest people when it comes to buying games but they'll give israelitevidia as much money as they ask for.
PC is a meme. VW are just ahead of the curve. Zero (0) PC gamers buy anything at $70 outside of AAA titles. All other devs are forced to discount the game by 40% immediately, then Gaben takes 30%. The end result is
a) devaluing your work so players on more lucrative platforms refuse to pay full price as well
b) destroying more than half your income for copies sold, which means nothing
c) No multiplayer features mean 50% of players are pirates
>mustards still think they're entitled to games >mustards still think developers care about them >mustards still think they're anything other than 2nd class citizens >mustards fell for the PC master race meme and are stuck there now
>they've had 20 years to figure this out and still haven't
>EU spends millions trying to prove pirating bad so they can force more draconian laws paid for by publisher's bribes >It proves the opposite
Actual clowns
The only VW game I bought was Dragon Crown PRO, I got that one on release for like 40$ which was a lot for me back then. And I never got to play it because at some point I just stopped supporting Sony and didn't pay for Plus.
I'd love to support Kamitani and Vanillaware tho, so the moment they'll release their games on PC I'll most likely buy all of them.
As for now, I guess I did my part with Dragon's Crown so I'm going to play Unicorn on Yuzu.
>Port game on PC >Have to accommodate for numerous combinations of hardware >Have to buy Denuvo license or get pirated relentlessly >Either way you will never recoup the costs
PC just isn't worth it for such studios
Denuvo is a scam sold to boomer investors who force the devs to put it in because they think it actually works.
It does not.
It never has.
It never will.
>trying to deflect to sony
you can play any switch game on an emulator
there's more than one switch emulator and the other one is still available despite "nintendo nuking it"
PCgays ruined Dark Souls communities when it got ported to PC. The IQ of the discussion immediately dropped 20 points the moment PCgays got their hands on the game. Vanillaware made a good decision.
>ruined souls
thats snoys chimping out about everything that isn't exclusive >ruined nioh
again snoys because they were spamming non-stop about how nioh was the greatest game ever until it came to PC and suddenly its the worst >monster hunter
snoys once again, just look at how they sperg out and scream that you're a tendie if you like the PSP games
Going mainstream is what ruined Souls.
There is no such thing as a Nioh community.
MonHun was already garbage before World, and nobody can ever agree on anything.
Yakuza was always a meme.
Stop being a homosexual hipster, it's not 2012 anymore.
While I'll give you Triangle Strategy (even though 75k for a game like that isn't exactly bad, it's decent change) Tactics Ogre Reborn crossed 90k sales on Steam, it bombed on consoles if anything.
Your only 2 examples are both games that don’t have terribly favorable reviews on steam, didn’t sell that well on console either, came to pc well after most people willing to pay $60 already played the game, and are both prime examples of the kind of game most people would rather have on a handheld anyway.
Consoles have short lifespans. Idiots will buy the same shit repeatedly. If it's on PC people have it forever, unless they use steam or something moronic.
I've played a bunch of them but if Vanillaware doesn't want my money they can go bankrupt for all I care with whoever is in charge of these moronic business decisions
If they didnt go bankrupt with 13 sentinels, they wont with this one, especially since this game has more exposure and word of mouth thanks to that dumbfrick localizer schizo.
Their loss, their games are easy to emulate.
If it were so easy to emulate we wouldnt have this thread since everyone would be playing it for free, but apparently 90% of the people here are too dumb for emulation
Shut up PC Tribal Warrior. You're the nuisance of video games right now with the entitled tantrum and portbegging and platform wars you cavemen create.
I'm a PCgay and I don't see the problem. You don't need every game on every platform. What is the fricking logic behind thinking I spent $3000 on my PC but didn't buy a $350 Switch for portable gaming?
The actual reason is George Kamitani doesn't want his art assets ripped and distributed which is much easier if the games are on PC. He's very controlling when it comes to his artwork.
You can rip any and all art assets you want using emulators, or even reverse engineer their rendering process. It's far easier than doing so with a native PC version.
pc players can already pirate the switch version, so by not porting it to pc you are only punishing the people who would actually buy it
personally i dont care, but it's pretty stupid on their part
>what???? why is muh game not on steam so I can complain and type online that I will pirate it instead because it's a foul disgusting weeb shit???
sneeeeeeeeeeeeeed
Why are phone posters allowed on Ganker exactly? Are you not posting from the comfort of your PC? Surely you're not fighting your phone's on-screen keyboard repeatedly fat fingering the wrong letter. Isn't that annoying?
Just to make it clear because looks like its lost in translation from original: Atlus is just the publisher, their agreement ONLY COVERS consoles, not PC, so Vanillaware is free to publish their own games or look for another publisher.
Why should they waste money and resources porting the game over to the worst gaming platform in existence, where they steal games instead of support the company?
I mean, even if they don't port them over to PC, these pathetic pirates are still using emulators to steal their products. PC is literally the cancer platform for game companies. Not worth releasing games on it due to the community is fricked in the head and think it's "Cool" and so "Rebellious" to download games illegally, like:
>"Ooh, I'm such badass for not paying for the game and supporting the company who made it."
I'll tell you something, you're not cool, you're pathetic!
>I mean, even if they don't port them over to PC, these pathetic pirates are still using emulators to steal their products.
exactly
the people who would pirate it are already pirating it
so what would they lose by releasing the game on pc
you are moronic
yes i'm playing it on pc right now
however, i have to use a dogshit shitch emulator to do so
i would much rather have a native pc game to play, i would have actually bought it
The whole 2 hour refund window has actually basically gotten me to abandon piracy altogether except for console games.
It's incredibly rare that I don't know whether or not I'll like a game in a 2 hour window.

Some of the worst cope I've ever seen in my life. Car dealerships must love your ass
i swear people are completely moronic
over and over posts are made saying that it will get pirated if they put it on pc
everything on switch is pirated and emulated already so how does that make the tiniest bit of sense??
there are pirate versions of switch games BEFORE they are released and there was for this one too
Because the truth is only a handful of people would bother with pirating the game. A good chunk of the people complaining are steam-only. If you cant immediately play it with a click of a button they wont bother
This. It's not like we have any shortage of games to play. I buy a lot of games, and they lost me as a customer. It's indie games from small devs or nothing at all.
Why would pirates buy games? There's no point releasing console games on PC since PC users will have them anyway with far more options to make them pretty than devs would ever add.
>If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money,
Okay, but there's plenty of games that are very easy to pirate that people still buy, so I don't see the point of your absurd hypothetical.
The whole 2 hour refund window has actually basically gotten me to abandon piracy altogether except for console games.
It's incredibly rare that I don't know whether or not I'll like a game in a 2 hour window.
>d-d-d-d-duh pirates!!!!!
why did elden ring sell the most copies on PC then?
Why has every recent capcom game have massive financial success releasing on PC alongside consoles?
why is sony scrambling to get their games on PC?
I can elucidate this concept for you. Old games lose value and become cheaper. By the time the new console comes out, the old one becomes devalued. In the era of the SNES you could easily buy NES cartridges at flea markets or from kids who wanted to get money to buy newer games etc. When another new generation comes along, the older games lose even more value. So by 2010 an NES game should have been a freebie, a giveaway, worth pennies, so it makes sense to emulate and emulation was popular with people collecting all the games. Complete collections digitally. Plus all the old hardware is dying so emulation is how you play old NES games. And then along comes Nintendo who says he gamers remember those NES games? We'll let you buy a digital copy on our store for $15 a game, and natively emulate it on your modern Wii or whatever. So you can see instantly the discrepency between a product with a value measured in pennies, being sold by a corporation worth billions, for the price of a modern indie game. It's intense price gouging so it makes perfect sense to pirate nintendo games. They are greedy and unreasonable with no concept of the market value of their product.
>Why does Ganker constantly preen and crow about how it pirates every single game ever made to stick it to the woke commiefornia liberal devs?
I mean if we're talking about games actually made by shitlibs, it's very rare that I even was interested in playing them to begin with.
I genuinely can't think of a game I ever wanted to play that was made by really homosexual devs.
>If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money, your argument is so fricking moronic, as expected from a shitskin
how much money do devs make on PC if they don't release PC version?
Gonna wait a while longer for all the release bugs to be worked out and download the most up to date rom and emulate it. I'd have purchased it on Steam and saved myself the trouble given the opportunity but apparently these particular devs are epic oldskool with a money allergy.
Been a while since I saw something worth fiddling with an emulator for, so I guess I'm going "oldschool" too
Story mode doesn't require thought. Tactical difficulty just means you need to think about team members for a few seconds and then steamroll the game. Expert difficulty just means you need to then spend a few more seconds getting your attacks and buffs/debuffs in order before steamrolling the game. I haven't gotten to the "real" difficulties yet, but I would imagine all you have to do is swap up team comps here and there.
it's piss easy even on expert even in ng+ "Hard mode"
I would buy a console if they were as good or better than PC. That has not been the case for 15 years, though. The 360/PS3 era was the last hurrah for consoles. Even then, when I was a kid PC gaming was a vastly different experience and was worth it for me back in the 90s.
Bring your games to PC or I will pirate them. I've purchased shit like Wild Arms Reloaded and Ninja Warriors because those games are awesome and on PC. There is no reason not to port your games to PC in current year when consoles are objectively shit. The Switch was a slap in the face to any Nintendo fan with half a brain. Daemon x Machina is proof of that.
this one really pissed me off. i bought a switch just to play this mediocre piece of mid game. then it comes to pc like 6 months after. sold the switch. waste of time.
>pirate game >damn, this game is awesome, I would like to buy it >devs won't sell it to me
Not gonna go outta my way to give devs money. Make it easy for me to buy your shit.
I mean it's not even that for me, I'm just not buying a several hundred dollar console to play one or two games that I'm interested in.
If they still had more than 5 exclusives I was interested I would own a ps4 and a switch.
Doesn't work on windows 7, I'm going to tell nintendo about this and get them shut down. Bastards should have thought about that before dropping Windows 7 support.
Im downloading it right now I want a better link from someone who knows more than me because it says its gonna take 10 hours from whhatever website this is... how about you be useful instead of assuming butthole
It's an expanded Ogre Battle. I wouldn't call it an autobattler since it does matter how you set up your tactics. If you liked Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen or Ogre Battle 64, you'll probably enjoy it for what it is. I would not say it is difficult. If you promote certain female units their breasts get bigger.
Reminds me of the sound producer of one small Japanese dev who's such a boomer that he refuses to digitally sell any of the company's game soundtracks which include a huge stock of vocal songs, only make CDs for Japan. I've even seen Japanese posters comment on it and how the limited productions mean they're missing out on potential sales.
The company's international PR guy tried to no avail to get the tracks on Spotify before later leaving the company, and rumor has it he spent a year trying and failing to negotiate with the boomer.
>soundtracks, vocal songs
Could this be thanks to Japan's crazy IP laws (even vs the US) where they'd have to go get the singer of each vocal song's agent to sign off on distribution on every region or country and get additional payment for that etc.? That may be keeping them from releasing them widely more than just a boomer, though his boomerism may be why he doesn't TELL the producer the reason and instead just leaves it as a "I'm his superior, he just needs to accept my decision and that I knowbest. He doesn't need to know why and asking is an insult to me and to my position".
Its shit like this why even when Helldivers 2 came out recently apparently the JP voices (which appear to be great) are not an option for anyone outside of Japan because of shitfrick license.
>seeing this game shilled a lot >download Unicorn Overlord XCI >download v1.01 update and v17 prod keys >Load it up in whatever version of Yuzu I have since I last updated >Games works fine, not one stutter >It's a boring auto battler
I thought this shit was for gacha players, I've been memed.
They're not. Most niche games barely sell on PC, just like any other platform tbh. NTWEWY was in a similar position. PS4 and Switch release, word spread that it's good, people started portbegging and when it finally released on PC, it bombed.
It's sad and hilarious to see some of the tribal console warrior comments in threads like this, young kids that grew up only owning one console and living off an allowance from their parents so they attached themselves emotionally to that one platform and NEED it to survive and be the best because it's all they think they can have.
>b-but not every game needs to be on every platform b-because uhhh that would be uhhhhh not good! yeah not good! not good at all uhhhh
These days consoles are literally PCs and not putting it on PC loses them money and only pushes people to pirate. Imagine if Fromsoft was still making exclusives, holy frick they'd regret that.
What's stopping Nintendo from just allowing you to download the NSP files from their store?
Even if you buy the physical release, people can just dump them.
Nothing? You can download NSP files and Emulate them. What's supposed to stop them is the encryption, but that doesn't work when the keys can just also be dumped from the Nintendo switch. I'd assume Nintendo will probably invest heavily in security and copyright protection for the next switch, but given how japs treat PC's as a mystical occult object used exclusively for cooming and don't understand it, they'll probably mess it up again.
>I'd assume Nintendo will probably invest heavily in security and copyright protection for the next switch
Every Nintendo console ever made has been hacked wide open. Why would the next Switch be any different?
I'm sure all those switch owners will refuse to buy this switch game after learning that those poor deprived PC gamers shall be denied what's rightfully theirs.
historically in japan PC games have always been porn games
vanillaware senior devs are something like 70+ years old, they think PC is still only for erotic games and that porting it to PC would require them to put sex scenes in their games which is why they don't allow a pc version
>a company chooses not to be part of the moronfest that is PC piracy.
They are though, the Switch version is being pirated, it takes almost as much effort as pirating a Steam game so basically no effort at all.
yeah i figured. played aegis rim on yuzu with zero issues recently and that game looks much more technically ambitious than this one, at least from what i've seen
Yeah. Someone grabbed the yuzu source code a while back and is planning and remaking it into the Hope emu. Nintendo sends a DMCA or suit against the makers of Hope. Articles get made that Yuzu 2 electric boogaloo (as Hope) is threatened to be taken down. "Nintendo kills Hope" will be the phrase implanted in the minds of normies when it comes to emulators.
What does "per our agreement" mean? Are they saying the publishing contract they made with Vanillaware is just really dumb and whoever wrote it forgot to include PC? Or are they honoring some kind of spoken agreement? Either scenario is ridiculous.
How much they will seeth when they will find out people pirates on console too and by ignoring the PC market they actually lose on sales?
Fricking obtuse moronic bugmen
>Another PC mustard port begging thread
It is getting quite pathetic to see you keep making these.
They have 0 plans to port the game to your shitbox pc. Cope and seethe.
Damn, i wish there was a way to play switch games on PC, like some sort of app that could run the games without the need to port them over, now imagine if this app could use downloaded dsta to run instead of the original software, that would be great
I've seen this exact art style over and over again
Yes. Isn't it wonderful?
It feels like AI. No, it's bot wonderful.
it looks like AI at this point
They didn't use Kamitani for this game and honestly it looks worse than AI to me.
Its called anime
you mean shitty new age anime. it doesn't look like the soulful 80s and 90s anime. in game it's even worse, it looks like a mobile game
the painterly art style separates it from animesloppa and you know it
It's really tiresome. It;'s like they got an AI to do it.
Same with the gameplay - according to multiple reviews, you don't even control the battles, you just watch them lol.
Do you remember which studios made the games with the art style?
No frickin clue. It was that big titty amazon wizard game and this weird ass sidescroller japanese game on the wii.
Very interesting.
I wonder what the reason for the artstyle being similar could be.
No clue that shit is frickin' older than most people who post here
Don't bother, anon. They are too moronic to even know what the frick they are saying.
it's called AI deal with it
Vanilla ware don't have the resources to being it to PC, how are you not understanding that?
>Vanilla ware don't have the resources
thats what a fricking publisher is for
Vanillaware's not an internal studio so they probably get second-class treatment from Atlus. They don't even get enough money to finish the games in the first place and end up paying out of pocket. You think that the publisher's actually going to step in for them?
>Vanillaware's not an internal studio so they probably get second-class treatment from Atlus
That's contrary to the headline in OP's image though.
anon atlus barely publishes on pc to begin with. the only reason you got catherine and persona is because microsoft paid millions.
yea i'm sure microsoft paid billions for etrian odyssey 1-2-3(a game that still has the same bugs of the DS version) and smt 5 too
smt5 is pretty much going to be on gamepass so yeah microsoft did pay money
Because Sega of Europe is moronic
bull fricking shit. they just don't like PC plain and simple.
>puts on consoles made up of pc parts
>can't put it on pc made up of pc parts
Makes sense.
Stop asking questions and pay your fricking publishers bigot!
Vanillaware ran out of money and Atlus wanted to provide financial support if they made a PC port yet here we are
Not to mention they made a fricking Xbone version, something that wouldn't pay off at all, it's not about money, it's about them HATING on PC.
They put it on like six different consoles, they definitely have the resources. They're just really mad at PCs for some reason.
Every game is made on PC. Then it gets gimped so it will actually run well on a console. When a dev/publisher says they can't put it on PC they're lying. They just don't want to because it will be pirated to hell and back
What's wrong with wanting your game to not be pirated? Why do people lie through their teeth and claim to buy single player games on PC?
>taps sign
It's funny because the report says the people pirating wouldn't have bought the game anyway so it doesn't affect sales.
So why should VW, with less than 150 staff, waste their time when 0 PC gamers would have bought the game anyway? The math doesn't check out for mid range devs and you just proved it
You assume that the majority of people on PC are pirates, you have data to back this up?
small indie company, please understand
It runs on Xbox Black person, it's basically running on PC already.
PlayStations and Xboxes 'are' literally just PCs. This isn't the Cell processor or PowerPC we're talking about, those days are long gone. It's easier than ever to make PC ports.
Indeed. You can argue muh FreeBSD and PSGL for PS5 but Xbox literally runs Windows and DirectX, it is already on PC, just a locked down one.
Are you blind? That post is literally says their publisher was going to do it, but the devs told them no.
>don't have the resources to being it to PC
>FoV
The game won't have an FoV setting
>Data throughput
It runs on NSW, not an issue
>Generate shader cache
Graphically this game is doing frick all, easily done
>Unlocked framerate and UW
Like many Nip ports, this won't have an unlocked framerate or UW support, someone will find a way to mod in UW somewhere down the road.
>Work with Nvidia and AMD
It's a 2D game, they won't need to do much if anything.
Thats more of a problem about them not forward planning the development of the game to begin with. In an era of porting games to the whatever next generation console lands, they're fricking up by not having the initial development handle those issues to begin with.
Xbox Series is literally running Windows.
Xboxes have just been pre-built PCs since the Xbox One.
The game is already on PC, it’s just a matter of whether the devs want to profit from it or not
good morning sir
I'm sure all of you who pirated it would be holding your wallets open for it if it did come to PC.
Mods.
Not even kidding it makes Devs seethe like nothing else on this God forsaken Planet
dumbest take itt
So what's your elitist-posing take on the subject then anon?
Someone needs to sort out that quote. There is a difference between
>Vanillaware won't LET us bring it to PC
and
>We don't have an agreement for how everything would be handled, we only hashed out the console shit so far. We can't do anything with PC until we have an agreement, signed by both Vanillaware and Sega/Atlus.
Sega will easily fund it. Hell, Atlus could fund it on their allowance from Sega. Not to mention bringing it to PC has the least costs for the platform.
Whatever coma you woke up from, its no longer that year. Piracy is no longer a serious concern, Gaben dealt with this. Even JP publishers selling on PC do very well regardless of pirates.
None of those bombed and they're still selling. Triangle Strategy took a long time to GET to PC so acting like you're a console tard that expects to make all their money in the first month after launch and then frick off is the problem. PC games continue to sell for years not only like children's toys at launch right before the holidays.
W101 remastered got a frickload of sales - from kickstarter. Every PC player that wanted the game and knew about it backed it at KS . It not doing well after its launch was ENTIRELY on Platinum's stupidity
>$40 price, so way above the 'what the frick i'll try it' price for an indie.
>NEVER ADVERTISED IT ANYWHERE. WAS NOT IN GOLDEN WEEK SALES WAS NOT ON 3rd PARTY KEYSELLERS OFF ITAD ETC... nobody even knew about it and if they did
>Rarely put on sale and if it was, a tiny percentage for a long time
>Little DLC and would take time to come out.
Consoles use PC hardware, so they have no excuse for putting it on PC, except piracy, but even pirates eventually buy a gayme that's good.
>they have the resources for a fricking xbox port that will bring a grand total of 3 sales but not a pc version
LUL
they are just racist
Sounds like shifting the blame to me.
jap devs hate pc, it has a reputation of amateurism and is associated with doujinshi.
Tell that to...every Japanese developer that isn't Nintendo or Vanillaware.
The PC is for work.
Not for playing games.
>spend 1million porting to PC
>sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it
>discounted to $5 in a week
>PCgays review bomb the game because it doesn't support memetracing
>everyone cheats their way through the game
Yeah I can see why they don't want to fall for the PC meme
Didn't Palworld sell 12 million despite being easy as shit to pirate?
19 and yes. Like I pirated it, saw that it's decent enough, but not yet, and am just gonna buy it later.
Those were player stats, not sales figures. It still did well, though.
>still this cope
12 million players on Steam = 12 million sales
It's actually funny that more people bought this game on Steam than got it for free on Xbox.
More people play Helldivers on Steam than they do on PS5 as well. Console is dying very, very fast.
That's because the PC audience doesn't buy good games. They play their F2P slop and then mass-buy whatever shitty flavor-of-the-month meme game happens to win the proverbial lottery. Vanillaware makes actually good games so there's the tiniest random chance that that the PC sheep flock to it, but more likely it ends up not being worth the effort.
>buying DRM hardware makes me special
>I don't want it ported to PC because the game is shit and I don't want them to know
???
>Palworld
>bad
have a nice day troony
It's an multiplayer game moron people want it to play with friends not alone that's the only reason it sold well
>Pokemon is such a powerful brand that even its Chinese knockoff outsells everything else
Nothing can stop them
This is more of a condemnation of PC players than anything else.
>t-the pirates buy too many copies!
>They don't buy games they'd only pirate!
>See they bought games that shows how bad they are!
???
There is nothing wrong with people wanting a game to be on their platform of choice. What you are doing is wishing for or cheering on the fact that a game is NOT on a platform.
It never made it to fitgirl.
32 concurrent players because the dragged their feet for years, released a buggy mess (it will never get patched), is ludicrously expensive, and is missing all DLC content
>Developers then cite this as a reason why they will never port another game to PC and/or continue on with the series
Jap PC is only a meme because the Japanese still think it's 1985.
Name 5 examples of this happening
The fact that you’re asking for examples of this like you really think that would be a reach just proves that you don’t own a PC and have no idea what you’re actually on about.
In 1985 the Japanese PC gaming market was still frickhuge. PC was for a long time the platform of choice for the Japanese, until Microisraelite came in and ruined everything.
has there ever been massive negative numbers on a recognized studio when selling on pc? i cant think of any
PC isn't worth supporting. Games do not sell unless they're long running platform staples or memes.
PC is the ONLY platform worth supporting. Xbox is dead, PlayStation is dying, and the Switch is on it's way out.
Show me a company that went out of business for selling on PC.
Mald some more.
>pcgaming
>not reddit
Nice cope troony
>spend 1million porting to PC (it's actually a couple thousand bucks, you hired a porting house from Laos with three employees and one computer to go between them)
>sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it (the port basically doesn't work on a technical level, runs like shit even on modern hardware that can handle titles 10x as demanding, has locked resolution and framerate, no graphical options and is priced at 70 USD with no regional pricing)
>discounted to $5 in a week (this step doesn't happen, jap publishers never lower their price on PC)
>PCgays review bomb the game because it doesn't support memetracing (plus, y'know, all of the above)
>everyone cheats their way through the game (there are game-breaking bugs that stop progression without workarounds, sometimes community fixes are necessary to run the thing at all; these bugs will never be officially addressed or fixed)
This is totally not your average PC troony crying xie/xiem can't add a transgender flag nexium mod to a non-Denuvo game.
this is the worst argument for mods that I've ever read.
>port to pc for much smaller cost than developing new game
>sells millions of copies and reaches new audiences who like your work
>game is safe from most privacy due to being on a service like steam and/or drm
>game was almost unsellable before because of used copies, but suddenly you're getting tons of collectors
>fans buy the game again so they can also have it on their steam account and they review it positively
>your work is getting lots of positive attention again and getting new fans
Nope, better keep your games offered to as few people as possible, because... why should you want more success?
>T-T-There's no m-money on le PC!
>Every company desperately releases ports of games to PC
Hmmmmmmm
so this is what PC players want to play. wow
>Black lives matter
>Crime in progress pop up
KEK
Sinple.
They fear it will be pirated to hell and back.
I will believe in this once they allow Bloodborne to have a PC version.
Which ain't happening unless proven otherwise.
>No we don't want your money because we're afraid of the few people that will pirate it
>Instead we'll leave you with the only way to play the game being pirated
>Why?
why bother with pirates? also
moron alert
This, but unironically and not for (you)bait. Helldivers 2 launches on PC and suddenly the discussion is
>waaah this game is too hard
>it costs too much I can't afford DLC
>help me I have server issues and crashes waah
Console games should never bridge the gap to PC, because they are always entitled ingrates.
Gonna pirate it and emulate it instead now anyways.
I don't understand it, I would literally buy a copy just to not have to boot up the emulator and charge my controller.
>capcom starts putting games on PC
>sales hit record highs
Nintendo's next.
Fricking please vanilla ware fans are 30+ year old rich weebs. The pirates will always pirated meanwhile I'll buy all their games day one. I mean I went to TGS last year in hopes of seeing Unicorn Overlord.
That's kind of an odd take, we're not--
>remember I have two display cases filled with Vanillaware statues
>own every LE they've put out
>just turned 37 last month
Okay, maybe we are thirty-something rich weebs.
God I hate opening the steam discussions of any new Japanese game around release.
Every thread is either a third worlder or cheapass complaining about regional pricing, somebody b***hing about ultrawide or somebody b***hing about whatever DRM they use that won't matter since the game would run at 60fps on a ps3.
Tell that to capcom and all the other japanese publishers and devs who saw the writing on the wall and are making bank lamo
The time for consoles is over, vanillaware is just leaving a ton of money on the table and ensuring their games absolutely get pirated due to unavailability by doing this
PC has completely conquered the fighting game market. Consoles will never recover.
>The time for consoles is over
This. Nintendo will die in the next few years if they don't start porting their games to PC.
>capcom and sega having the record breaking launches with their new installments of games that also just happen to release on PC day 1
>final fantasy VII remake part 2 ends up being the lowest selling mainline game since VI while being a PS5 exclusive
really makes you think...
>final fantasy VII remake part 2 ends up being the lowest selling mainline game
why the FRICK would anyone want to buy a remake anyway lmao
because square enix thinks that final fantasy is still the juggernaut it was back in the PS1/PS2 days
Because of how old FF7 is. I would have paid to have FF7 but it looks really good. We're not talking about something like Dead Space or other 7th gen games that still look fine.
cheats their way through the game
This is a bad thing why?
It's something somebody with no integrity like you wouldn't know
I still remember how surprised Atlus was when they found out that pcgays are the only people that really want to buy a decade old game like p4g after that 1 millions sale within a week.
>sells 32 concurrent players because everyone pirated it
You mean like what happened when Capcom and Atlus ported their games to PC?
Both of those companies sell more copies on PC than consoles.
1million porting to PC
only giga morons like sony do this
This is like the soccer mom perspective of PC players.
lol PC trannies get fricked
no worries I'll just emulate it for free
but i've been playing the game for 16 hours with zero issues on pc, sis
Does game get any harder later on? I'm average level 12 right now.
there's a difficulty jump when you get to the other countries, though i dont know if you're there already
Playing it for free right now lmao
NINTENDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yuzu didn't magically disappear from the internet just because nintendo sued them.
Yes, are you mad?
NOOOOOO NOT THE FORBIDDEN EMULATOR, NOOOOOO
I pirated your game a week before you could give daddy Tendo your money for it, binger
Vanillaware games are too soulful to be allowed on PC.
They are japanese. It's normal.
>per our agreement we're not gonna take the free money
owari da, capitalism has fallen
Guess I'm just gonna run it on an emulator, like I did with Muramasa. Which is a shame, I'd like to give them money.
>Muramasa
Got the upscaled texture pack? It looks GLORIOUS.
https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Muramasa:_The_Demon_Blade
Vita version has more content and runs pretty much perfectly on the RP4Pro but those textures do look very nice.
>playing the censored version
Looks like shit.
>they aren;t offering a product in the way I want so I'll steal it.
Black person mentality
It's a switch so it's on pc by default, they don't need to port it.
You did put the game on the Switch, so I'll be playing it anyway.
Or rather I would if I wanted to, but this game looks to be pretty boring.
but Im already playing it on pc. shame I couldnt pay for it.
Don't want the troons in PC market to dictate their games.
>buy PC to show off how much of a non-poorgay you are
>can't buy baby console and baby game for $500 plus tip
lol
>you have money so you should just trash it liberally
LUL
What's with the blatant dishonesty? Anyone complaining about this wouldn't have bought the game or will pirate it because 'omegaLUL single player PC geam.' Vanillaware wasn't going to see a single penny either way
>vanillaware
more like moronware
If even Atlus are saying you're being moronic, that's bad.
I'm playing it on my PC right now though?
They don't want to deal with pirates. They'll get enough as is with the Switch version.
One day, maybe, Ganker will just play video games and not jerk off about sales numbers or console/pc war homosexualry.
How can I play the video game if I can't buy it on my platform of choice?. Sure I can emulate it, but that's not the same as an actual, native port and supporting a developer that needs the money. You can pirate AAA slop all day every day, but not a Vanillaware title.
> can't buy it on my platform of choice?
Console/pc war homosexualry strikes again.
Yeah but why would anyone over the age of 10 want a Nintendo console? Are there any good games on it besides this one cool tactics battler and maybe Zelda games? No.
PC is used for work and gaming so there is a reason to own one.
Wait people think this game is switch only?
Hilariously enough yes. I saw a Sony schizo in one of the threads crying and calling the game shit because they didn't know it was multiplat.
Might as well be. All other consoles are irrelevant at this point. Switch 2/PC will be the meta going forward.
I want them to succeed.
>want them to succeed
considering how much sales they'll get in Switch release judging by the tracker, they will be
>Yeah but why would anyone over the age of 10 want a Nintendo console?
get a PS5 or a series S/X?
For me it's PC only. I want to be able to mod the shit out of my games, I want to be able to use cheat engine if the game pisses me off. I want to be able to easily take screenshots and drop them in my discord without having to jump through hoops. PC just has advantages that consoles don't. Consoles are for people who don't want to tinker with the guts of their games.
>For me it's PC only.
then just don't play the game like
homie I ain't paying for a Switch just to play one game.
>Don't you think if they "needed the money" they would sell to as many people as possible
I dunno, moronation runs rampant. See: SE
HOLY SHIT is that real?
They are based they hate PC c**ts
guess i'll emulate your game for free and forget about it after a week, thanks
Vanillaware is one of my favorite videogame developers, but I am PC only so the only way I will ever enjoy any of their games is via piracy and emulation. Sorry Nintendo, your underpowered gay baby console for babies doesn't appeal to men.
They could have put the game on PC to get my money.
Instead I will pirate it and play it for free in a Switch emulator. I mean It probably leaked like a week ago and people have already played it.
>think you're making a case by still playing it
go back.
This attitude is why I don't feel bad that Nintendo killed Yuzu. Also, you're a hypocrite but you're too moronic to notice.
idk but this is poised to be their most successful game yet since its multiplat, got actual marketing, and lots of praise from the demo and reviewers
>PC players don't buy ga---
And now here come the deflections of why this is a one-off exception somehow
PC gays buy Denuvo protected AAA mainstream shovelware and pirate the rest.
I think recent years have definitively proven that Denuvo and other DRM schemes work and it's very sad.
Cool.
Now let's look at the sales of Baldur's Gate III, a game that's on GOG and has no DRM, and that people were pirating right out of early access.
This. If you can't afford it you won't buy it. If its a shit game you won't buy it. If it's a good game and can afford it you buy it. Simple as. All those israelites here don't seems to understand how humans work, satan spawn indeed.
show the official sales data for BG3
Baldur's Gate 3 Sales Have Exceeded 10 Million Copies Worldwide Across All Platforms, Larian Confirms. Baldur's Gate 3 sales have surpassed 10 million copies globally across all platforms, Larian's Director of Publishing has confirmed. Here you go Black person. If you want more go find it.
Only release date game I've pirated in the last decade was Hogwarts Legacy.
I was right to pirate because it was filled with DEI quota bullshit including a troony bar owner.
>Capcom uses Denuvo
>PCgays have no choice but to buy their games
>Sales are high
WOW anon, that wasn't so hard! Unfortunately, companies like Vanillaware can't afford Denuvo. So get fricked!
You know that game was pirated almost immediately right? So was DMC5, so was MH Rise and World, so were many others, hell even RE2-3-4 remakes.
You dumb fricking mouth-breathing moron.
Its just bad business to not sell a product to a certain demographic
>Switch
so Its basically on PC by default lmao
That's basically what killed PC VR. Nobody pays for games even though they're willing to drop thousands of dollars on GPUs and headsets.
>VR
>ever having any real games in the first place
Not paying for tech demos, not sorry.
gonna guess there's some dinosaur at vanillaware who still thinks it's the 80s
Yeah, the creator of the studio himself.
Once AA devs do the math it makes perfect sense
Why should any game beneath a AAA title be $70 in the first place?
AA devs made bank on consoles like the 3DS where games were $40 max, they'll live.
/v/iggers actually think games need to sell 5 million units minimum.
>mustards still think they're entitled to games
>mustards still think developers care about them
>mustards still think they're anything other than 2nd class citizens
>mustards fell for the PC master race meme and are stuck there now
>they've had 20 years to figure this out and still haven't
lol
lmao
how about I bash your skull against a wall? how about that?
What? Game is on PC
Don't care, I'm still going to tell them to port vanillaware games to PC in every box of every Atlus fan survey until they do it
PC was unironically a mistake. Look at the kind of subhumans who are attracted to it.
I don't give a frick about that, Muramasa remaster when?
This is one of the sloppest list of games I have ever seen
Sounds like to me you actually hate videogames, but that's something I expect from people who irrationally hate the Switch
A VN is not a video game, no matter how many times you jerk your joystick to it
they're ADV games in Japan
You really don't want to talk about the subject you know nothing about.
VNs have always been a PC domain, as well as adult games.
LMAO Pkeks forgot that their precious emulator is dead
Gonna be a rude awakening
Damn I forgot Nintendo snuck into my computer last night and deleted my emulators! PC bros we'll just have to buy a Switch now!
Reminder that "piracy" is a boogeyman and doesn't actually affect sales
https://cdn.netzpolitik.org/wp-upload/2017/09/displacement_study.pdf
>EU spends millions trying to prove pirating bad so they can force more draconian laws paid for by publisher's bribes
>It proves the opposite
Actual clowns
Nah, clowns are anons who still think piracy is real, at least EU acted (or don't in this case) by results of this survey.
The fact that ATLUS proposed it makes it even funnier.
They themselves were once one of the PC NEVER EVER.
They're probably terrified that someone is going to make a nude mod and get Blackwiener mad at them
>Port game on PC
>Have to accommodate for numerous combinations of hardware
>Have to buy Denuvo license or get pirated relentlessly
>Either way you will never recoup the costs
PC just isn't worth it for such studios
Denuvo is a scam sold to boomer investors who force the devs to put it in because they think it actually works.
It does not.
It never has.
It never will.
>switch exclusive
>what is an emulator
have a nice day 1 digit iq moron, your family wont miss you
>>what is an emulator
Something that just got nuked by Nintendo
this is what tendies actually believe lol
How that Bloodborne port begging going?
>trying to deflect to sony
you can play any switch game on an emulator
there's more than one switch emulator and the other one is still available despite "nintendo nuking it"
PCgays ruined Dark Souls communities when it got ported to PC. The IQ of the discussion immediately dropped 20 points the moment PCgays got their hands on the game. Vanillaware made a good decision.
They ruined Souls communities
They ruined Nioh communities
They ruined Monster Hunter communities
They ruined Yakuza communities
Gatekeeping is a good thing, we should gatekeep our games harder
>They ruined Monster Hunter communities
Don't pretend it's not a console war between tendies and snoys.
>ruined souls
thats snoys chimping out about everything that isn't exclusive
>ruined nioh
again snoys because they were spamming non-stop about how nioh was the greatest game ever until it came to PC and suddenly its the worst
>monster hunter
snoys once again, just look at how they sperg out and scream that you're a tendie if you like the PSP games
>snoy snoy snoy
meanwhile this thread is full of tendies crying about emulation
>tries deflecting when someone who has seen souls, nioh, and monhun threads get destroyed by snyggers speaks up
Going mainstream is what ruined Souls.
There is no such thing as a Nioh community.
MonHun was already garbage before World, and nobody can ever agree on anything.
Yakuza was always a meme.
Stop being a homosexual hipster, it's not 2012 anymore.
The game is already on PC. I'll bet 5 bucks most of the anons playing it are emulating it due to the screencaps being posted.
>WHY IS VANILLAWARE moronic?!?!?!?! IT WOULD SELL GORILLIONS ON PC!!!!!
>*Game gets announced for Steam*
>Nice! Pirating day one!
We've been over this over and over again.
Tactics Ogre Remaster bombed on Steam.
Triangle Strategy bombed on Steam.
Repeat after me:
>STEAMIES
>DON'T
>BUY
>VIDEO
>GAMES
For a small studio like Vanillaware sinking money into a Steam port with barely any return could prove catastrophic.
And Xbox players do?
Triangle Strategy was a shitty game. Tactics Ogre was censored to hell and back and nobody should buy it.
Censored how exactly?
CCP demands. Try renaming a unit to Taiwan.
How the frick was TOR censored?
While I'll give you Triangle Strategy (even though 75k for a game like that isn't exactly bad, it's decent change) Tactics Ogre Reborn crossed 90k sales on Steam, it bombed on consoles if anything.
>Tactics Ogre Remaster bombed on Steam.
Sold as much as Switch you dumb Black person
>Triangle Strategy bombed on Steam.
Released half a year later when everyone knew it was another Octopathslop
Your only 2 examples are both games that don’t have terribly favorable reviews on steam, didn’t sell that well on console either, came to pc well after most people willing to pay $60 already played the game, and are both prime examples of the kind of game most people would rather have on a handheld anyway.
>>Nice! Pirating day one!
but the game isnt on pc and everyone already pirated it before day one
lol
Consoles have short lifespans. Idiots will buy the same shit repeatedly. If it's on PC people have it forever, unless they use steam or something moronic.
I've not played a single vanillaware game as none of them are on PC.
See, and that's tragic because they make some of the best games. Odinsphere and Muramasa are both masterpieces.
I've played a bunch of them but if Vanillaware doesn't want my money they can go bankrupt for all I care with whoever is in charge of these moronic business decisions
You can still play they on PC. There are ways. Very very easy ways in fact.
Same, they look really cool but i guess i will never play one.
They'll just go bankrupt soon so who cares
If they didnt go bankrupt with 13 sentinels, they wont with this one, especially since this game has more exposure and word of mouth thanks to that dumbfrick localizer schizo.
If it were so easy to emulate we wouldnt have this thread since everyone would be playing it for free, but apparently 90% of the people here are too dumb for emulation
why are there so many people baiting with dumb shit about piracy and why are people falling for it?
you can just emulate that shit anyways, but if it isn't on PC i won't buy it
Shut up PC Tribal Warrior. You're the nuisance of video games right now with the entitled tantrum and portbegging and platform wars you cavemen create.
When will mustards understand that associating with your kind isn't something desirable for normal people?
I'm a PCgay and I don't see the problem. You don't need every game on every platform. What is the fricking logic behind thinking I spent $3000 on my PC but didn't buy a $350 Switch for portable gaming?
People that have only a PC are too poor for anything else.
Ceos gone on record saying he harrases anyone on camsites that has a pc in their stream.
That's Level 5, not VW.
HOLY BASED
yeah really sucks that it's not on pc, i really wish i could play it...
Can you make all the girls consorts in your harem? Based if true.
why can't you play it?
Do emulators not support it yet?
why are discordtrannies bringing up AIslop every thread?
PC is like Somalia
"free" but no one wants their business there, filled with low life scum that doesn't care about anyone else
PC gaming is the India of gaming, makes so much sense.
The actual reason is George Kamitani doesn't want his art assets ripped and distributed which is much easier if the games are on PC. He's very controlling when it comes to his artwork.
>Kamitani
He didn't do the art for this game, so that's not something that is relevant.
It is however the reason shit like Dragon's Crown still hasn't gotten a PC release
Is that dicky elf still 60 years old?
Vanillaware doesn't want the pc autist hounding them 24/7 like From got when they made Dark Souls for PC
If they don't want my money, then they won't get it and I'll just pirate their games instead. No skin off my back.
>what???? why is muh game not on steam so I can complain and type online that I will pirate it instead because it's a foul disgusting weeb shit???
sneeeeeeeeeeeeeed
>refuse to put their games on pc
>goes bankrupt
oh well *emulates all their games for free*
Why are phone posters allowed on Ganker exactly? Are you not posting from the comfort of your PC? Surely you're not fighting your phone's on-screen keyboard repeatedly fat fingering the wrong letter. Isn't that annoying?
PC homosexuals realizing they platform is shit AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
but i've been playing it the past week for free on pc
PC is so shit it can play every vanillaware game lol what a shitty platform
Feels good to own more than one platform and be able to support devs I like.
One of those jap Luddites that still use floppy disks
>he fell for the optical israelite
PC "gamers" talk about games more than they play them. It was the right call.
surely you have beaten the game already then
Yeah, i wonder why companies would actually release on platforms where people buy games. Its a fricking mystery.
Just to make it clear because looks like its lost in translation from original: Atlus is just the publisher, their agreement ONLY COVERS consoles, not PC, so Vanillaware is free to publish their own games or look for another publisher.
alright then morons if you don't want my money, your shit is getting pirated then
>Vanilla where are my games?
>forced to use ryujinx because i'm not a necrophiliac
pain
https://nswgame.com/unicorn-overlord-nintendo-switch-nsp-xci-nsz-download-free/
if they had released this on PC, i would have bought it, but alas
Why do you people care about this, you're going to pirate it anyway like you do all games.
It's already on PC.
enjoy your stutter
It doesn't have it though, Switch emulation actually works incredibly well.
i've played it over 10 hours and havent had a single stutter or other issue
perfect 60fps all the way
upgrade your hardware pedro
>jap businessmen
>moronic
yes
Who cares
> download switch emulator
> download rom of game
> ???????????
> pc master race wins again
Sat it with me (clap) Japanese (clap) company (clap)
The only thing I hate them for is Muramasa... why is it not on PS4 or PS5 yet?
>pcgays brag about having millions of games to play while crying every day about games not coming to their platform
Admit it, you're starved for games LOL!
Even then they don't pay for any games, they pirate and steal them.
from this thread it seems like it's only PC players who are actually playing the game while the console tards are just crying about it
>pc players are throwing tantrums about it not being on pc, that means they're playing the game on their pc right now
yes i'm playing it on pc right now
however, i have to use a dogshit shitch emulator to do so
i would much rather have a native pc game to play, i would have actually bought it
>i would have actually bought it
PFFFFFFAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
yeah? i'm not poor, i buy games i want
i will never buy a bintendo shitch nor it's 12 fps piles of garbage though
>all these screenshots are 1080p from emulators
yea
Then why are you still b***hing and pissing about it not being on PC?
>i buy games i swear!
Oh Ganker, never change.
>i buy games i swear!
>all acquired for $5 or less in a bundle or sale
gog is 30 day
>all acquired for $5 or less in a bundle or sale
man shut the frick up and stop projecting
>if don't buy it full price you didn't buy it
Some of the worst cope I've ever seen in my life. Car dealerships must love your ass
>i buy games i swear!
Yes, correct.
>all that projection.
Misplaced loyalty to Sony despite like a beaten housewife
Their loss, their games are easy to emulate.
I would have bought it I swear I wouldn't have found some random excuse if it was on steam!
i swear people are completely moronic
over and over posts are made saying that it will get pirated if they put it on pc
everything on switch is pirated and emulated already so how does that make the tiniest bit of sense??
there are pirate versions of switch games BEFORE they are released and there was for this one too
Because the truth is only a handful of people would bother with pirating the game.
There's no point releasing console games on PC since PC users will have them anyway with far more options to make them pretty than devs would ever add.
there's been a study saying piracy doesn't effect sales at all
If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money, your argument is so fricking moronic, as expected from a shitskin
but the facts show that piracy doesn't impact sales negatively, in fact it helps sales
>If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money,
Okay, but there's plenty of games that are very easy to pirate that people still buy, so I don't see the point of your absurd hypothetical.
>Pirate game
>Like game
>Buy game later on
it's that easy
The whole 2 hour refund window has actually basically gotten me to abandon piracy altogether except for console games.
It's incredibly rare that I don't know whether or not I'll like a game in a 2 hour window.
>d-d-d-d-duh pirates!!!!!
why did elden ring sell the most copies on PC then?
Why has every recent capcom game have massive financial success releasing on PC alongside consoles?
why is sony scrambling to get their games on PC?
>why did elden ring sell the most copies on PC then?
lmao
It did
>inb4 the snygger cope combining multiple consoles together
>Source: This was once revealed to me in a dream.
>no argument
its the literal sales announcements when the game came out
Yeah that was 70% of all sales being on console with 41% being on Playstation.
Why does Ganker constantly preen and crow about how it pirates every single game ever made to stick it to the woke commiefornia liberal devs?
>If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money,
yeah? but people still buy games that have no protection lmao
>If everyone pirated the game then the devs would make 0 money, your argument is so fricking moronic, as expected from a shitskin
how much money do devs make on PC if they don't release PC version?
This is why emulators exists and then they start b***hing about us using them.
Oh well, back to ps3 emu then to continue my journey in Dragons Crown
Vanillaware are the most based devs of all time.
Frick PCkeks. Vanillaware is the best.
Gonna wait a while longer for all the release bugs to be worked out and download the most up to date rom and emulate it. I'd have purchased it on Steam and saved myself the trouble given the opportunity but apparently these particular devs are epic oldskool with a money allergy.
Been a while since I saw something worth fiddling with an emulator for, so I guess I'm going "oldschool" too
Fellas?
This game feels like I should go on expert given its relative simplicity but I don't know how far they're going with the mechanics yet.
Forgot my image
Story mode doesn't require thought. Tactical difficulty just means you need to think about team members for a few seconds and then steamroll the game. Expert difficulty just means you need to then spend a few more seconds getting your attacks and buffs/debuffs in order before steamrolling the game. I haven't gotten to the "real" difficulties yet, but I would imagine all you have to do is swap up team comps here and there.
it's piss easy even on expert even in ng+ "Hard mode"
this one really pissed me off. i bought a switch just to play this mediocre piece of mid game. then it comes to pc like 6 months after. sold the switch. waste of time.
>Go to GameStop
>Buy PS5 copy (frick Nintendo)
>emulate Switch version on PC
>Return PS5 copy
There, zero moral qualms
>pirate game
>damn, this game is awesome, I would like to buy it
>devs won't sell it to me
Not gonna go outta my way to give devs money. Make it easy for me to buy your shit.
I mean it's not even that for me, I'm just not buying a several hundred dollar console to play one or two games that I'm interested in.
If they still had more than 5 exclusives I was interested I would own a ps4 and a switch.
Staying true to tradition and staying officially exclusive is SOVL
Does anyone know where I can download the NSP? nsw2u still doesn't have the file and update
just emulate the switch version
Ryujinx works just fine
Piracy is always a service problem and not a pricing problem.
If a game doesn't release on PC it's made for morons by homosexuals that have no respect for the player.
It is a worthless game self-selecting.
I really don't understand the uproar LITERALLY a potato PC can emulate this.
zero bugs so far
Doesn't work on windows 7, I'm going to tell nintendo about this and get them shut down. Bastards should have thought about that before dropping Windows 7 support.
NEVER drop win7 support
I need a rom link
use google you braindead moron
Im downloading it right now I want a better link from someone who knows more than me because it says its gonna take 10 hours from whhatever website this is... how about you be useful instead of assuming butthole
spoonfeeding is for children and welfare Black folk. find it yourself
>we won't port to PC, because... uhhh, they'll just pirate it
>ryujinx friends:
Feels good, man.
How is the game? Is it just another goongame or is the gaming part actually good? I've seen anons saying its piss easy even on the hardest difficult.
>If you promote certain female units their breasts get bigger.
based
Reminds me of the sound producer of one small Japanese dev who's such a boomer that he refuses to digitally sell any of the company's game soundtracks which include a huge stock of vocal songs, only make CDs for Japan.
Its shit like this why even when Helldivers 2 came out recently apparently the JP voices (which appear to be great) are not an option for anyone outside of Japan because of shitfrick license.
>seeing this game shilled a lot
>download Unicorn Overlord XCI
>download v1.01 update and v17 prod keys
>Load it up in whatever version of Yuzu I have since I last updated
>Games works fine, not one stutter
>It's a boring auto battler
I thought this shit was for gacha players, I've been memed.
First Vanillaware game? Try Dragon's Crown
They're not. Most niche games barely sell on PC, just like any other platform tbh. NTWEWY was in a similar position. PS4 and Switch release, word spread that it's good, people started portbegging and when it finally released on PC, it bombed.
are they really taht scared of pirates? like holy shit whats going on here? their games are probably pretty easy to port too
It's sad and hilarious to see some of the tribal console warrior comments in threads like this, young kids that grew up only owning one console and living off an allowance from their parents so they attached themselves emotionally to that one platform and NEED it to survive and be the best because it's all they think they can have.
>b-but not every game needs to be on every platform b-because uhhh that would be uhhhhh not good! yeah not good! not good at all uhhhh
These days consoles are literally PCs and not putting it on PC loses them money and only pushes people to pirate. Imagine if Fromsoft was still making exclusives, holy frick they'd regret that.
Yes because tribal pc warrior comments are so much more mature.
No PC no buy, it's your own fault, not mine.
Bought vanillaware games on my vita
It's a shame I don't own any newer console, luckily it runs well on emulators
I'm sure all those switch owners will refuse to buy this switch game after learning that those poor deprived PC gamers shall be denied what's rightfully theirs.
historically in japan PC games have always been porn games
vanillaware senior devs are something like 70+ years old, they think PC is still only for erotic games and that porting it to PC would require them to put sex scenes in their games which is why they don't allow a pc version
yes they are THAT draconic
>company doesn't let PC release happen due to piracy and mods
>game is pirated and modded anyway
It's okay to pirate the game if you can't buy it.
>a company chooses not to be part of the moronfest that is PC piracy.
>Ganker: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE *shits pants*
>a company chooses not to be part of the moronfest that is PC piracy.
They are though, the Switch version is being pirated, it takes almost as much effort as pirating a Steam game so basically no effort at all.
It would be infested with denuvo just emulate it moron
Well it gives me a reason to use the xbox I guess
>Vanillaware's refusal to cater to PCgays causes THIS much seethe
lol
lmao
it's not seethe you fricking idiot people are laughing or face palming at the moronation
PC chads have been emulating the game all week
But they let you know though
>we live in a fricking world where it's Atlus begging a dev to port to PC
LMAO
I used to love posting the "I stood silent when they got..." pasta but it's too big to post now. How far we've come lmao.
Some people just HATE money.
They're japanese, being moronic on purpose is part of their culture
Small indie dev unironically and Denuvo is expensive.
Not my problem. They could have had my money, but they chose not to.
>x legacy collection
Nice input delay bro
does it emulate better on Ryujinx or Yuzu? i want to start playing this weekend
Works fine on my pc running yuzu. I heard ryujinx have audio issues with it.
yeah i figured. played aegis rim on yuzu with zero issues recently and that game looks much more technically ambitious than this one, at least from what i've seen
yuzu it is then, thanks anon
any good switch emulators?
Yeah. Someone grabbed the yuzu source code a while back and is planning and remaking it into the Hope emu. Nintendo sends a DMCA or suit against the makers of Hope. Articles get made that Yuzu 2 electric boogaloo (as Hope) is threatened to be taken down. "Nintendo kills Hope" will be the phrase implanted in the minds of normies when it comes to emulators.
thanks, anon
Yuzu
good, Shovelware never made a single decent game
lmao pc gaming's gay
Put your gigaflop in my terrahert lol wut
>doesn't release it on pc
>can still just play it for free
kek
Good for all you PC homosexuals. PC PC PC PC PC! Frick you.
I've been playing it on PC moron
ENTER
You stupid fricking Black person
What does "per our agreement" mean? Are they saying the publishing contract they made with Vanillaware is just really dumb and whoever wrote it forgot to include PC? Or are they honoring some kind of spoken agreement? Either scenario is ridiculous.
>it's on the switch
doesn't that mean it's already on PC
>b-but YUZU
Ryujinx
How much they will seeth when they will find out people pirates on console too and by ignoring the PC market they actually lose on sales?
Fricking obtuse moronic bugmen
>Another PC mustard port begging thread
It is getting quite pathetic to see you keep making these.
They have 0 plans to port the game to your shitbox pc. Cope and seethe.
PCgays have been playing the game days before the game actually release. People here are just shitting on Vanillaware for their hatred of money.
So in other words, you are coping and seething they wont give you a native port.
Damn, i wish there was a way to play switch games on PC, like some sort of app that could run the games without the need to port them over, now imagine if this app could use downloaded dsta to run instead of the original software, that would be great
you all sound like tendies begging for switch ports
Us PCchads got it a week early courtesy of Ganker anon
Enjoy being spoiled consolekeks
