Why isn't anyone talking about Avowed from Obsidian?

It just doesn't look right to me. I can't quite explain why.
its animations and how things react when you punch them
its graphics
its enemy design
its the whole world is ugly and unpleasant.
When you have a big company, and different departments pitch ideas, designs - sometimes the manager has to say "What is this shit? It look...OFF. Ugly. That won't fricking do. Re-do it, untill morning, in fact, don't make just new variant, make it 2"
But often the game development manager is NICE. He is afraid to say to the team that they just SHITTING A TURD. He is nice, he doesn't want to upset them, so he says "Wow, this looks wonderfull, good job" or maybe he fricks a woman graphic designer, or they don't have money for redoing the designs and the first idea that was offered, gets approved. And then you get this Avowed garbage. Everyone other than developers knows its stinky disgusting shit that doesn't look right, but they convinced themselves that they made gold, because they all so nice to each other, developers and managers sniffing each other's butts and unable to say a harsh word about each other's work.

The last time I heard anything about Obsidian, it was a guy crying that pillars of eternity 2 wasn't sucked off. It'll be neat to see if this turns out well, but I have no faith in any studio owned by Microsoft.
Obsidian has proven time and time again that they are actually incompetent developers, and can only create shit. Why the frick would anyone be excited for any game they touch?

Pillars of Eternity 2 has some of the dullest writing ever in a CRPG and Outer Worlds managed to make evil megacorporations boring.

I am and will continue to simp for it. That being said I hope they make cancel the outerworlds 2 and make another historical game like pentiment or something like kingdom come deliverance but with good writing.
I'll try it but the only Obsidian games I've liked much are Tyranny and New Vegas. And KOTOR2 I suppose.

I was only interested when it seemed like it was going to be a take on a bethesda style open world. It's completely uninteresting as another generic first person ARPG
Because modern obsidian has done nothing but disappoint me beyond expectations each time.
It looks dated mechanically and graphically so the writing and questing need to be great for people to give a damn. And that's not the kind of thing that's going to be clear from previews. If it's any good, it will have good word of mouth. If it isn't no one will care.

Imagine being an RPG and having a deep dive where the combat looks boring, the zones looks boring, and there's frick all for a hint of any kind of story, then expect anyone to preorder and pay full price $69.99 for it. Obsidian taking notes from Bioware it seems. Doubt the studio survives after this release.
Game still in Alpha. No way this game will look and play well in 8 months. Has to get delayed to next year if they want to make big improvements.
It's just outer worlds 2, everything looks the same.
