literally completely the opposite of what you're saying. I've put many hours in both. WoW quests are the exact same fricking thing if you strip the narrative. Either go to point A and complete the quest or kill X amount of thing and complete the quest.
Runescape has many quests that don't require you to kill a damn thing. Some of them require use of multiple skills. Some of them are almost purely narrative and use game areas you'll never see again outside of said quest. There are no WoW quests that require you to use non-combat skills. Some Runescape quests can take hours to complete. The longest WoW quest might take you 10-15 minutes if you're slacking.

But it's not like there is something you can enjoy except for farming and looting. The actual gameplay is just clicking. Someone that plays an fps for example will have fun rocketjumping, bunyhopping, surfing, continually improving or just fricking around with weapons.
The fun is in the gameplay. I just don't get where you can get fun in Runescape except for the stat improvement and looting.

Not memeing, OSRS has the most in depth questing and world-traversal system in all of MMO's. No other game replicates the power boost that comes from your ability to get around the world by doing quests or leveling abilities. The quests as well without using guides would be genuinely difficult to figure out and the humor is top notch

The gameplay loop is all grind from start to finish with barely any quests to break it up. Everywhere you go, you see people grinding, grinding combat skills, grinding mining, tree cutting, fishing, whatever. It's not noticed because there's nothing to notice, and the people playing it are hopelessly addicted to making their numbers larger. Now, you're going to tell me that this is every MMO, and you're absolutely right, but grind is especially bad in Runescape because that's pretty much ALL there is to do in it.
I'll be honest though, when I was a kid, I killed the dragon and it was a high I'd never felt before. It will always have a place in my heart because of that, but I couldn't go back to playing it now that I'm older.

first off, mmos dont deserve respect. second, talk to anyone that played pre ge and rs3 and you will hear that its one of the best of all time which is true. However in that time, jagex did pretty much everything in their power to frick it up.
