To me what's important is that when having that lock on button held and you can see an indicator on an enemy - you know exactly where all your attacks will go until you let go of the button or hit a potential change target button, without a shred of doubt. Having a manual lock to more accurately pick your target isn't so much the point of including said feature (though we could argue that a cycle-lock button would indeed give it that benefit too), it's more about knowing your attacks wont break focus once the target is locked in. If you let go of the button you can then let the auto lock-on get back to working its magic, until perhaps it lands on another enemy you want to be locked into targeting for a while.

Haven't played NG but I initially really hated manual lock-on while playing DMC4 back when it released. I eventually got used to it and learned to appreciate it and missed it ever since whenever I played other action games that were either lacking lock-on or using the shitty toggled lock-on system.
Too many words
I agree.
NG has a ton of problems that its fans don't usually talk about, they just bring up muh difficulty.
God damn it, don't agree with me
Just play Valkyrie Elysium
Not reading any of your post.
get rekt
>I can't logically prove you're points are flawed so I'll just post a shitty YouTube video
If you want to know what ninja gaiden would feel like with lock on, go play kingdom hearts 1 and try not to rip your hair out.
There's no way using lock-on for 3 seconds would be that problematic
Go play kingdom hearts, it's exactly how ninja gaiden would feel with lock-on with how jumpy the enemies are and how small the spaces often are.
I have to agree with this dude NG enemies are too coked up for a traditional hard lock on, best we can hope for is a bayo style soft lock on
>best we can hope for is a bayo style soft lock on
except it already has that, moron? if you aim towards an enemy, you attack will aim directly at the enemy closest to you. It's not rocket science.
use fricking shuriken you moron
NO
The only thing I can see benefit from lock-on is the projectiles. In most of the games you won't really have all the much of a reason to rely exclusively on projectiles.
Why is Ninja Gaiden not more popular? Is it too hardcore for gaymurs?
Because it's bad
kek get filtered b***h
crinja gayden sucks
go and play with your iframes
little b***h
Frick you
They are very hard, and the last we saw of this franchise was the lackluster Ninja Gaiden 3 and some shitty spin off, and it's been many years since even those came out. We are talking about games from two console generations ago Hard to be a fan of something when they aren't even making it. On top of that, these games aren't that meaty, they are very linear, so they don't have that long of lasting power. People ask the same question of fighting games, and one of the biggest reason people don't play fighting games is because there's no meat on their bones, but at least those can be shit out often enough. Ninja Gaiden has nothing
Make it a snoy exclusive and playstation fanboys will shill your game for you
>ninja gaiden has lock on
>the screen is constantly shaking trying to follow the enemie you locked on
>while all the other super fast enemies rape you
dark souls made everyone morons
>souls made everyone think they are the best fricking gamer and there is no game they cant beat anymore
>they get filtered by an actual hard game like ngb or ng2 and then suddenly they need lock on to make it fair and balanced
if itagaki added a lock on system he would spit on op for being a little b***h and scrap it just for lolz
>actual hard game like ngb or ng2
good joke
Gjff
>Why Ninja Gaiden should have manual lock-on
no, stopped reading there
your'e an absolute scrub if you need enemies to be directly in front of you
go back to dark souls
lock on sucks dick
only dmc that uses lock on and it adds depth to it
NG has problems but a lack of manual lock on isn't one of them
