Why not make Pokmon hack-proof?

When does every caught Pokémon become it’s own NFT? The Home tracker already does it’s thing but the games should constantly give everything trackers all the time so that there’s literally no chance to hack anything. Imagine seeing a Shiny and knowing it’s legit.

Anon yesterday I took a random-ass Tauros I caught in the Safari Zone in Red and used 8F and a specific combo of inventory items, party Pokemon, and the Missingno. glitch to turn it shiny. I can now send it to Bank and then Home. I didn't use any external programs, I only used the game itself.

Does this count as a legit shiny?

Every Pokémon caught in a game prior to the new tracking mechanic would naturally be excluded. They become their Home Tracker but are already marked as old gen aka not hack-proof.

My knowledge on cryptography, distributed systems and by extension NFTs is a bit fuzzy but I'll try anyway. Theorictically blockchains are secured in the sense that there is several instances of the blockchain on differeent locations. To attack the data integrity you need to compromised, at the same exact time, at least more than half of the systems hosting an instance of the blockchain so it becomes the new "Truth" which is usually admitted as impratical as best and impossible at worst.
One more thing you cannot modify data in the blockchain, you can only add more.
The best use case for a blockchain I've seen so far is making registries.
We will consider that GF will be the sole validator for the blockchain as well as the owner of the different instances of the blockchain.

Now let's say each block contains the pokémons data and has an associated token. the data contained should be only data that cannot change in-game so we don't have to bloat the block chain with addendums, this excludes the Pokémon species for example, but includes the OT, whether it is a shiny or not , catch location and game.
If the validation is done when a Pokémon is caught, as OP suggested, then The player has to be always online with a stable connection and the caught Pokémon validated before it is added to you.
if it's done only when I connect online, then I can just play offline, inject or modify the pokémons I want before connecting online, making my hacked pokémons legit.
So let's disregard the latter and go wth the former (player always online)

You could add a third party application to interpret the blockchain and host the missing Pokémon data.

And congrats you just got a Pokémon Home , just a bit more expensive to run because you will have higher CPU usage everytime someone in the world catch a pokémon in any game. And you can only play online.

        TLDR: OП Cyкa

This solution doesn't prevent in-game exploits from newer or future games

This is only possible if you put Pokemon into a blockchain constantly connected to the Internet. As long as there's offline aspect to the gameplay it will always be possible to hack Pokemon in

          Ok that's unfortunate.

Maybe they could do that for ranked battles in the master's division, but there's no way that would work for single player or even little Timmy playing multiplayer.

I recall something about NFTs already being mentioned with pokemon so I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't already done it.

Genuinely would probably be one of the only legitimate uses for the tech if we're being real.

The main issue with blockschain is that it's niche and that its use cases can realized with other more mature technologies. Can still be useful, but it's gimmicky

Once mainline Pokémon arrives on the next Nintendo console or Mobile. Expect lootbox microtransactions with it.
