why play diablo 4 when idle games offer the purest form of click to make number go up? the amount of skill required of using spamming cooldowns is identical between an idle game and ARPG and there's little real difference in the gameplay of click & use CDs.

Just use an auto clicker. Set it to slow, or don't use it frequently if you're really worried about playing "fair" in the numbers go up game.

There's the shark one (https://cirri.al/sharks/) that's a favorite of a friend of mine and I also played SPACEPLAN which I'd only recommend at the current sale price.
It's a weird one in the genre since it has a story and an ending but it was fun. (My playtime was 6.6 hours)
