>the missing Pokemon and all of Generation 8 planned for a future version.
I'm not wasting any of my time on the myriad of unfinished ROMhacks.
Once 2.0 comes out I might make another post for it, been in the works for years but still no date given unfortunately.
Oh boy I sure do love playing a hack where they shove like 20 pokemon in a single route with no way of increasing the players chances to get a specific pokemon
Yeah I get that, the lack of the CFRU dexnav hurts. If you're like me and pre-plan every team its not as bad, just use the docs and speed-up to scout out early game temp members.
>difficulty hack >replaced gen 3 art with modern shit >forced exp share cant be turned off >level scaling >level caps >all that gay shit i dont care about but no following pokemon or day night cycle
i dont need to read any further
Do you also hate 90% of the RPG genre for including equivalents of forced exp. share?
I'm guessing he'll say "no, because those games are balanced around using a constant revolving rotation that consists of 3+ party members simultaneously while Pokemon is balanced around 1v1s where you don't need any other Pokemon aside from using them as Revive/Potion Meatshields".
>difficulty hack >replaced gen 3 art with modern shit >forced exp share cant be turned off >level scaling >level caps >all that gay shit i dont care about but no following pokemon or day night cycle

>changes types/base stats
They need to stop fricking doing this shit. The degree that they change stuff like this has no precedent in any of the mainline games. Give shitmons new options instead of fundamentally changing them, when you completely change them like this you might as well have just made a new mon
Ask BW Sableye, VGC Murkrow/Clefairy, Clod/Quagsire, Pelipper, Dugtrio... Obviously some have better stat spreads, but all you really need is 1-2 X factors to give something a niche. It's all about utility, whether that's a useful move or ability, good stats, power, or versatility.
Delcatty ain't get changed too much honestly, still below 500 BST.
Some Pokemon are just shit by design, it's irrelevant in regular games but they need something for certain hacks.
>Massive pokemon variety >everything from gen 1-7 obtainable
Dropped.
I never understand this take but I respect it all the same

It's a take I have with a lot of things. Too much freedom in game design is a trap; limitations and restraints are what make them fun. In Pokemon's case, having a smaller dex prevents you from just sticking to your favorites and forces you to either make do with less or branch out into Pokemon you wouldn't normally use.

That's interesting to me. I actually try to uee new Pokemon in every run of every game I play, so romhacks with all Pokemon available are my favourite because of the diverse team optiins and freedom I get.
If I played Firered or HGSS at this point there's virtually no Pokemon I haven't use in some way.

Half those mons are actually good while the other half are niche good in scenarios where you only need to worry about wining a single battle. Viability in multiplayer doesnt equal viabilty in single player

These are all pretty slight, I don't think any of them exceed 40 BST total. I have an issue with the degree of these changes, some of them encroach 100 BST, which in that case what's the point. This
Forgot the pic...

Fair, different strokes for different homies.
isn't helping, it's still directly outclassed by something like fricking Ambipom
Oh boy I sure do love playing a hack where they shove like 20 pokemon in a single route with no way of increasing the players chances to get a specific pokemon
Because i'm tired of these QoL/difficulty rom hacks, if i want to play Emerald i play the original, it does not needs any improvement. It is always the same thing with these hacks, bloat the dex with nu-gen mon, add megas and muh QoL from newer games. It is lazy and ruins the original game.
>increased shiny odds
So every game starting with Gen 4 is a janshit hack? Because Gen 4 itself introduced the Masuda Method, which makes DP a janshit hack too.
The problem with these vanilla+ romhacks is that once you've played one you've played them all. I like Hoenn and all, but I've already played through it 10+ times with new mons, harder AI, etc. What does this do differently from the hundreds of other emerald hacks?
I tried it a while ago but stopped playing a little after Winona. All my pokemon were already level 50+ at that point so there weren't really any more level up moves or evolutions to look forward to, and between that and everything being level scaled it meant my team was basically already at its final power level barely halfway through the game.
Why would I replay the same region?
>Massive pokemon variety
>everything from gen 1-7 obtainable
Dropped.
>quality-of-life
And dropped. Maybe next time you can keep me around for the entire introduction paragraph, I believe in you anon
?
>still stuck on gen 7

Is this fricking BEAST in the hack?
If so what other fan megas are in it?
Not yet sadly, it's planned for 2.0 tho! These other ones are in with the exception of Zebstrika that's also still a WIP
>still stuck on the last decent generation
Based. Everything post-dexit was a mistake
Because
>the missing Pokemon and all of Generation 8 planned for a future version.
I'm not wasting any of my time on the myriad of unfinished ROMhacks.
Massively gay.
>Gen 1-7
New routes, forests and caves were made to accomodate all of those pokemon, right?
Indeed.
That's one good change, I hate how most hacks make every route be crowded with too many different pokemon
>gen 3 romhack with FORCED exp share
lmao I'm not even reading the rest of that
>forced exp share
>battle frontier is broken
why are you posting this garbage?
Do you also hate 90% of the RPG genre for including equivalents of forced exp. share?

no day/night
no buy
disgusting tileset
I prefer Emerald Cross since it's a more pure Hoenn experience. But this is cool for those who like Megas. I don't though tbh
Because it's just Radical Reddit but Emerald.
I'm playing Run & Bun™. Too bad it's named after a homosexual nuzlocker.
Because it's not in Japanese.
i played a little and got bored
Because is not official

What new option fixes a statline of 70/65/65/55/55/90
she already has a nice signature ability
Wonder Skin is not only not her signature ability, it's not good.
you don't know your waifu at all, disappointing

2.0 coming out any year now *copium*

You misunderstand. I don't think it's good to have that much Pokemon variety.
I never understand this take but I respect it all the same

Two of those literally got stat boosts or have entirely busted abilities, or abuse a busted item.

is it just another "all pokemon + gimmicks + difficulty" hack
don't care about those tbqh
because romhacks look like shit
emerald looks like shit
2nd gen looks better than emerald
Because Revelation is and always will be the best want to experience Hoenn.
Too busy playing Pal
NO JANNIES STOOO
>mega evolutions
not interested
back to discord
Gimmickshit is peak discord
>present in 5 games across two gens and two consoles
>gimmick
Nothing past gen 5 is canon
Oh boy I sure do love playing a hack where they shove like 20 pokemon in a single route with no way of increasing the players chances to get a specific pokemon
because I'm playing Pokemon Quetzal with my friends, more mons & co-op
Because i'm tired of these QoL/difficulty rom hacks, if i want to play Emerald i play the original, it does not needs any improvement. It is always the same thing with these hacks, bloat the dex with nu-gen mon, add megas and muh QoL from newer games. It is lazy and ruins the original game.
Based
BDSP was shit specifically because it felt like one of these hacks
it didn't do any of that
It did.
It removed HMs, increased shiny odds, gave IV and nature modifiers. BDSP is a janshit hack
>increased shiny odds
So every game starting with Gen 4 is a janshit hack? Because Gen 4 itself introduced the Masuda Method, which makes DP a janshit hack too.
That's in no way similar to base odds being increased, it's just one specific method
>if i want to play Emerald i play the original, it does not needs any improv-ACK
The problem with these vanilla+ romhacks is that once you've played one you've played them all. I like Hoenn and all, but I've already played through it 10+ times with new mons, harder AI, etc. What does this do differently from the hundreds of other emerald hacks?
Because I beat it already. Maybe I'll do a Grass only run when 2.0 drops.
ROWE is cooler and radical red tards need the rope
>incelment
There are 1 thousand emerald hacks just like it and I'd rather play something original
cuz it sucks
I'm playing rowe
I tried it a while ago but stopped playing a little after Winona. All my pokemon were already level 50+ at that point so there weren't really any more level up moves or evolutions to look forward to, and between that and everything being level scaled it meant my team was basically already at its final power level barely halfway through the game.
the only hack I ever bothered with was crystal legacy, which is basically just crystal but harder. lose me with all these QOL, 500 pokemon hacks.
Sorry, I'm a ROWEchad
I kneel
Sounds cool. I'll wait until the project is finished before checking out it though.
total qolgay death
you get to battle cynthia in the postgame by which point you would have had the chance to capture rayquaza
Wtf does "incelment" even mean?
It's a way of referring to extreme weather.
Unpleasantly cold or wet weather
Weird way to describe your hack but whatever
Because Radical Red is way better
