I literally sat afk for 1 second during the tutorial and some other player killed the boss so i immediatly was sent into the finish tutorial cutscene even though i did nothing
I wish it had been more like SWTOR. The gameplay is less fun than WoW.

GW2 wanted itself to be an MMOARPG but for some reason they backtracked on that after the first expansion. The peak of the game, gameplay wise, is the first expansion Heart of thorn after that its shit after shit, EXCEPT if you play a Weaver. And even then.
The ''lore'' and general story is unmediated garbage trough and trough. Its also the most pozzed game there is, but it wouldnt be so bad if the game wasnt written by absolute morons. All character interactions in the game are either ''witty'' Josh Whedon style comments that dissolve all tension within a scene or ''lets psychoanalyse each other and talk about our feelings while we walk from point A to B''.
All villain are boring cartooney shit in the worst way possible, up to the point where you ask yourself why they are even a threath to anything but themselves. All that so they can play up their OC characters like that fricking rainbow dragon or the dwarf that pilot a mech.
I didn't mind the story in the leveling phase when it was mostly around your character and choices but the minute the faction questlines end it goes to pure garbage. I don't think anyone could frick up the premise of fantasy Vietnam like these chumps did

Because the writers didnt wanted to tell the story of a world going trough trial and tribulation, with you stuck in the middle trying to save it. They wanted to tell the story of their OC characters with (you) watching.

I would make a Werewolf gay RPG in which the protagonist is a werewolf hunter and he's super manly and stuff and his two best friends are werewolf hunters too and they are madly in love with him and a werewolf falls in love with him too and he bites him so he turns into a werewolf werewolf-hunter and you have lots of companions and gay male romance options and you have to kill the big wolf to end the wolf curse or something.

It's funny, playing SWTOR I wish it had elements from GW2. I want it to have GW2's combat and world events. GW2 dungeons (launch, not the weird rift bullshit) are also peak dungeon design.

I find GW2's combat to be more fun (fewer buttons, less complicated rotations, better animations) but WoW has more content to do. In GW2 you just beat the storyline and get the mounts and that's it really.
