Black person i have bad experience with cuting into plastik

The knee guards aren't particularly thick plastic, and after clipping anything you'd just use a file/sandpaper to smooth it back into shape.

so no unexpected difficulties, thank you for your post

Intercessor kits have their shin guards as separate peices, it’s a brain dead 60 second operation to cut and file them down. Assault intercessors have the shin plates built in, you have to be a dad but more careful. I’d say 120 seconds.

this calls for a webm with a timer in the background to prove your point, but nontheless thank you

They made one, as a throwback. As much as you hate it, I think a part of you know it's true within the framework of reimagining core elements of the IP to make it all legally distinct, a la 'Astra Militarum'. I just can't see them removing something so fundamentally recognisable to 40K unless there was an ulterior motive.

          >They made one, as a throwback.
They're also being used for the new Dark Angels veterans. GW also rereleased the Space Marine Heroes blindboxes last year. There's new JoyToy figures coming this year, including jump pack marines with MkVII heads.
Frick, GW *still* sell the old(er) Tactical Marines kit. They're very obviously not concerned that, after almost 35 years, Lucasfilm are going to suddenly go, "hey! You can't do space helmets with angry mouths!"

The amount of people who are autistically hung up about tactical helmets are too small of a market for them to care about, and then the vast majority of that already small subsection likely have dozens of spare marine heads in their house or have moved on to Horus Heresy for classic marines. For the incredibly small remaining group of people who want those helmets and don't have them for some reason, you have ebay and 3d printing to get you covered. So for the 6 people who are insistent on GW releasing a special box of tactical heads just for them, 5 of them who are here and 1 is likely screaming into the void in a local shop's Facebook page, why the frick would GW cater to them?

That beak helmet is in the RG upgrade set. And it is specifically in the RG set because RG are known for the beak helmets.
GW will never sell mk7s on their own.
At best you'll just get the 1 token helmet in couple of kits, like GW did with beakies for decades.

GW is moving away from mk7 because it is a new era, they don't care. It is purely a corporate decision.

You need to understand businesses don't make smart decisions on purpose. A suit decided that primaris are the new thing and fashymarines are le ghey, so they will never sell them because they are trying to appeal to a 'new audience' of suburban moms buying superheroes in armour for their teenage sons.

GW is not smart, if they were then Kill Team would not be so expensive and you wouldn't constantly look at the price tag of ten legionaries/marines/buttfricker space dwarfs and wonder why it costs 42 pounds sterling or whatever the frick they charge now for plastic soldiers.

    Then paint is expensive too.

Of course people on /tg/ will offer all sorts of moronic alternatives, like playing a game that's only 80% as expensive as 40k or buying paints that are only 80% as expensive as citadel- which are both, still, too much for plastic army men.

GW isn't trying to make a sale, they are trying to force this down your thoat. This is why the project will not be changed until some autistic fa/tg/uy gets into GW and brings back the 'classic' 90s-2010s era heads in the 2030s. By which time the primaris heads will have been around long enough this will provoke counter-autism from the primaris enjoyers, much like how age of smegmar attracted an audience of transgender people over the past 9 years.

  17. 1 month ago

They could just honestly update the tactical marine box to primaris/mk6 heresy marine scale now, the tactical box is 10 years old now so due for an update, people would probably buy it too.
