What kind of dumbass bait is this? I'd ask you why other RTS franchises don't count but I'm not sure I'm ready for that level of moronation this early in the morning.
trannies are like that which makes their deaths all the more vital for human progress
>uhm youre dumb but I cant post any to prove you wrong so... uhm... TRANNIES
rise of legends
Play more video games and lurk moar, you moronic zoomer.
>play more video games
Like what?
>j-just do it, CHUD
Okay I tried Baldur's Gate but it wasn't anything like this
Is this bait or a kiddie posting time?
Oh, so it is bait.
>play a game
>N-NO NOT THAT ONE
>THE SECRET ONE THAT TOTALLY EXISTS BUT I CANT TELL YOU ABOUT, troony
stupid homosexual Black person babe
>An actual fantasy or science fiction story
>Blizzdrone never heard of fricking homeworld.
checks out
He said unique fractions
cute
command and conquer generals
I will continually pirate your shit and never give money to the trannies and roasties that run your shit company Blizzard.
That's cool. What other RTSs do you like?
There's a lot of things about Warcraft and it's inception people don't know. Like how everyone who plays it fricking sucks dicks.
What about Dawn of War
dawn of war remake when?
>only one person is actually able to name one
>the rest of the people just scream "TRANNIES TRANNIES TRANNIES"
zoom zoom
Warhammer 40K dawn of war: dark crusade even without mods truly stands the test of time. plus the army painter hnnnng
I find I can't stand RTS' now, maybe i'm old but it just feels too jarring. especially at high levels online its basically a focus test
>Pathfinding worse than Broodwar
>Unit voicelines, while great at first, would make your ears bleed after an hour of play
>Boring clear-the-map missions
I love Dark Crusade, but it failed test of time on the release.
peak contrarian response lmao when it came out I played it nonstop for half a year beating the campaign with every faction and had incredible fun doing all of that, including pointless bunker lines as IG even though no one ever came close to invading that territory.
>Unit voicelines, while great at first, would make your ears bleed after an hour of play
what the frick are you even talking about?
Are you blind or just stupid? Of course you can have lots of fun with Dark Crusade despite its shortcomings. But it did not aged well at all.
DoW has great voicelines, but most of them are too long, too loud and too repetitive.
you are too gay, too homosexual and too homosexual
>too loud
pretty sure there's a separate volume slider but its still less loud than WC/SC
>too long
not even close
>too repetitive
you say that when shit like AoM exists which not only has a mere 10 or so lines across the entire faction PROSTAMGA VULOME ESTO NE KALOS
but also has no cooldown on voice lines so every time you click you will hear VULOME VUL VUL VULOME
>Unit voicelines, while great at first, would make your ears bleed after an hour of play
????
DoW has some of the best voice lines in any RTS
Kind of arbitrary conditions you're setting there, but even if we accept those for no good reason, there's still:
>The entire Command & Conquer series
>Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander
>Dawn of War series
>Age of Mythology
>Spellforce series
And probably still a lot more that I didn't think of.
Rising Kingdoms meet your requirements and there's plenty of other games from that age that are similar.
>>Age of Mythology
series
I don't think those two meet the ridiculous requirements of OP. Mostly because Spellforce and AoM are factionless in the sense that's you and your allies vs the enemy in one campaign.
>AoM are factionless
It's still three different factions that have different units, architecture and even mechanics like harvesting. Main hero team is the same, but you get new heroes added with each faction and it's a continuous story through all campaigns, like in WC3.
I don't Care I'm a Wargame EE gay now
zero-k is a better multiplayer experience for the average gamer than brood war, but brood war has the e-sport scene, and brood war has the pro scene of guys who want the winner to be the one with better micro.
Team games are better in zero-k than brood war. Good 1v1 games are much more interesting in zero-k than brood war.
Its just so much of a better game, and i say this as someone that played starcraft since 98, beat the whole campaign like 4-5 times. still plays multiplayer. If zero-k wasnt dead id play it every day. I am so fricking depressed with how actual good multiplayer games die out.
>Complete meaning

Anon wtf, that shit is common for so many RTS games. What are you smoking? Consider the following:
>C&C Red Alert 2
>C&C 3
>C&C Red Alert 3
>C&C 4 (game fricking sucks but it still fulfills your criteria)
>Battle Realms
>Dawn of War
>Kill Krush n Destroy (I think? Unless I'm misremembering)
>Age of Mythology
and probably a bunch more I'm forgetting or didn't play.
I think he's referring to the fact that a lot of RTS have mostly copy pasted unit lineups, like AoE1/2 or WC2
I know, I know exactly what he means. But that still doesn't change the fact that there are so, so many RTS games that *do* have distinct and unique units & structures.
>noooo I don't play age of empire 4! That would be too conveniant!
here is one:
War Wind 1 and 2
>unique factions
>campaign for each faction
oh that looks cool
never played it
Because their studio was all men who played games for fun and actually worked. New troonyzzard is full of lazy buttholes who admit they hate playing their own games.
Not enough games have the unique factions in them. I can only really think of Dawn of War, Age of Mythology, and Command and Conquer. Beyond that there's only Starcraft and Warcraft. I honestly find shit like Age of Empires and Civilization unplayable because of the mostly insignificant differences between each faction only amounting to a single unit, building, or ability.
I, too, love warcraft 3 and starcraft 2.
Any other rts I should play ?
Preferably from 2010-now
What moronic bait is this?
>Dawn of war series
>Age of Mythology (Yes a Hoplite is different from a spearmen, all factions play differently)
>C&C and C&C Red alert
>Supreme commander 1 & 2 (2 fits the criteria even if it wasn't as good as 1)
>Rise of Legends
>Battles for middle earth 1 & 2
>Universe at war (I'm sure no one else has played that though)
>Sins of a solar empire (It doesn't have a campaign but meets the other criteria)
There are tons out there
rise of legends was the best wc3 inspired game
honestly top 5 rts of all time
Play Earth 2150 RIGHT NOW.
What C&C is the best? thinking of buying one for multiplayer reasons
Red Alert 2 is often the most recommended entry.
Does it need modding to be functional online like FAF?
I haven't played RA2 is over a decade so I wouldn't know, but I've heard people say use the CNCNET version (https://cncnet.org/) if you wanna play online.
Okay thank you anon
You don't need bait to have a thread with interaction. You are the cancer killing this board.
You sort of have to, threads get pushed off the top of the catalogue too quickly and people are unlikely to discover and bump them in that case. The snowball effect, especially on Ganker is too great.
the vast majority of the factions weren't that extremely different from each other, though. all factions had basically the same early and mid-level grunts. late level, too, in many cases. the stats varied a bit, but they were generally the same type of units.
WC3 is one of the few games that has well developed active abilities, even DoW games suck at that. And both the heroes, as well as casters like Necromancers, Spellbreakers and Destroyers carry a lot of the race's identity.
Also the different selection of items at the shop like rod of necromancy, healing salve etc
There were 4 unique factions and they were kino.
Imagine being so self-conscious about Ganker trolls that you have to bait instead of just making a recommendation thread
>self-conscious
Its all in the numbers
Age of Mythology, even if it's obviously an evolution of AoE, feels like a proto-warcraft 3 at times with its big focus on story, cutscenes and hero units.
Primitive Wars
>select lizard worker
>AOOOOWEEEEAAAAWWWWA
>ALAL
>AIIIIIIE
Go play the Earth 2150 trilogy
Their last RTS was made in 2010. So kind of not really, not anymore. At this point blizzard can't even rerelease their old RTS game properly.
Battle Realms you nonce.
