There should really be a hard mode for new ones in the next expansion. Seeing people on the forums get frustrated at the short stealth section in endwalker was baffling.
I really liked the Zenos fight but I would have liked it more if I had to fight for my life, I doubt they would want to balance it around each job though.

By the Zenos duel the average player has over 100 hours of playing, I’m not saying it should be Savage difficulty but maybe slightly less than an Extreme fight.

Sylvanas was an influential faction leader who put her finger in every pie and subverted shit behind the scenes to acquire more and more power to the point the entire lore started to revolve entirely around her as the writers pulled their hair out trying to figure out how to still make her sympathetic and making things even more idiotic with each attempt.
Zero has literally zero influence. She behaves like a lost puppy who we guide along and teach how to act. If anything it's turning out she was less relevant than everyone assumed. I still don't consider her well written but there's fricking nothing to compare here.
She's definitely here to stay, but by means comparable to sylvanas as of right now, danuser rewrote years of lore for his fapbait stinkfish waifu

I don't know why people get their dicks in a twist over him. All of the stuff he's listed as writing in the second panel is, at worst, inoffensive. Some of it's pretty good. Given the only stuff people seem to actively dislike on it are Return to Ivalice and Save the Queen, and he's clearly just helping Matsuno with them (and Save the Queen got fricked over by the coof), the doomsaying is just Ganker being Ganker.
The one that stands out for me is that he did the Mage role quests in ShB, which were really fricking good. Probably the best of the role quests, which I personally think is a high bar because they were all great.
Healer role quests were the best ShB ones though. Shame the EW ones were so awful.

If you just hate mhiggers, I can see having this position. But I found it interesting to check in with Fordola and see how her fricked up life was going (poorly). It also made me realize Fordola and Yotsuyu are the same character; betrayers of their homeland. Fordola just gets the "good end" such as it is (wearing a death collar and staying in a prison cell despised by all countrymen).
Fordola was the only good part of the healer role quests. I wish we'd been able to spend more time with her.

Video games are honestly a great, unique vehicle to tell stories, they open up whole new ways to experience stories that convential media cannot do. The problem is FFXIV doesn't make any use of that. The advantages unique to video games to telling a story are never made use of in this game, they just instead treat it like they're writing a fricking visual novel, jamming in cutscenes where gameplay could better be used to tell the same exact happening in the plot. The devs just flat out do not want to make a video game, they want to write movies but are stuck making a game and they obviously don't like it.

Now we know that he was under the influence of the Heart of Sabik, and that the 'one true god' he mentioned serving in Praetorium was not Zodiark. He was doing things for Athena all along.
