It was far from being a failure, problem is Harry Potter is an anti-masculine franchise, so aside from a few femanons, you're not going to find a lot of people on Ganker who would admit to liking it. It's also gonna be extra hard to find discussions on it elsewhere since trannies have been threatening to dox and murder people over playing it.
>you're not going to find a lot of people on Ganker who would admit to liking it
Lol, are you new? Everyone on this board was dickriding this game like crazy last year
That's because it was caught up in all the drama surrounding Rowling. Once that started dying down, all I've mostly been seeing on Ganker is threads shitting on the game for having minorities and a token troony
Sirona doesn't even have any real relevancy to the plot, he's just there for one of those "we'll acknowledge this character's existence for a bit and then go about our business" moments. It's kinda like how you would patronize someone who's too dumb to participate in a group discussion, you ask how they're doing, throw them a few complements so they don't feel so alienated, then resume the topic at hand with the others.
No way is their name literally SIRona. That's a nickname you guys gave them, right?

Nope. and they they gave him this name that literally means snake and eggs, and a really masculine voice on purpose too. lol

>pretty well
You're underselling its performance. It was the bestselling game of that year. Trannies and people who blame trannies for everything are naturally unhappy about this because they can no longer pretend troony opinions matter.
stopped playing it when I did all the stuff in the school. I don't play magic wizard school game to wander around mud fields all day long. total goblin death, total troony death; but I repeat myself.
I'm actually surprised at just how well it did. The game nosedives into open world monotony when you leave the castle, and the actual potter/hogwarts stuff like house choice was meaningless since you just sequestered yourself in the room of requirement. The only quest that had a modicum of thought put into it was Sebastian's and that's pretty much the highlight of the game. This game probably could have been genuinely amazing if they didn't waste so much time on revelio shit, 90000000 merlin trials, and collectathon garbage like demiguises.
Started typing up my thoughts but they're pretty much exactly this. People were (and still are) hungry for something of this graphical fidelity that leans into the school life aspect and Legacy barely touches on it. I can only hope they take the nice Hogwarts map they made and design something with more to do in it that better integrates the player.
My thoughts exactly. It plays like the mosy generic Ubislop but the story tries to convince you that you're playing as a normal student despite being able to frick off and murder gansters in the woods whenever you want. It should have either been a game outside of Hogwarts where you play as an adult, or been more confined to Hogwarts and focused on student life.

This, the game is very mid. Anyone who trys to convince you otherwise is trying to push a political agenda.
It made bank. I stopped like 75% through the way because those trial things for the main story were fricking moronic. Also, way too much side mission bullshit to 100% the game. I might come back to finish it at some point though.
>Warner Bros announced that they're moving away from singleplayer releases like Hogwarts Legacy and planning to focus on making more live-service games like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
Sounds like a failure to me. If they were happy with it, wouldn't they want to make more games like it?
>game massively sells well >it didn’t make enough money
Then quit the fricking business and stop shitting it up. This fricking financialized economy. At some point NO product will make enough money because nobody has any.
I really liked it, but people(me) clearly want a wizard school sim. I don't really care how much effort it takes to make us go through multiple years and experience different things(seasons, events related to that year, triwizard tournament that rotates the games every playthrough?). Also, just put quidditch into the game. Lazy fricks.

It sold 24 million copies and made over 1 billion dollars. A shift in corporate policy does not retroactively cause something to become a failure, unless you are an olympian in mental gymnastics.
It singlehandedly revived interest in the HP ip and was the best selling game of last year, definitely not a failure but I don't expect WB to capitalize on its success, they are Americas dumbest entertainment company
I don't like how they dropped adding Quidditch because of a mobile game no one is gonna play or scrapped Role Playing elements in favor of more open world slop busy work
If a sequel was just mostly linear with unique storylines/characters for each house and focused on actual student roleplaying or the school instead of mercenary goblin slaying, basically Bully but Hogwarts it would be perfect
>people in this thread genuinely think that Hogwarts Legacy was a 'failure' and don't comprehend how corporate publishers see video games as just a line on a chart.
Best selling game of 23, but box sales end eventually. WB pushes live service games because WB expects them to be money printers for minimum effort, as opposed to the years of dev time for a large-scale one-time purchase.
it sold very, very well

>Why was Pigsharts Fallacy such a massive fail?
too many trannies still alive
It did pretty well though, beat it and haven't had the urge to play it again. Maybe next Christmas.

Frick what a letdown.

Good!
i prefer hogfarts lezigoo
It did really well sales wise, but once you left Hogwarts it was just another open world game.
>Warner Bros announced that they're moving away from singleplayer releases like Hogwarts Legacy and planning to focus on making more live-service games like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
Sounds like a failure to me. If they were happy with it, wouldn't they want to make more games like it?
>Chuds: Suicide Squad must go!
>WB: Who must go? *Cancels wizard game sequel and reveals plans to continue making live service games instead*
Two Chyudes right here.
It was a shallow game with good window dressing
it was a great success but keep crying troony
Warner Bros disagrees. They want more Suicide Squads, less Hogwarts Legacies.
Imagine being a mentally ill homosexual like this one, lmao
It wasn't, israelites just blacklisted it from all media and marketing since J.K. Rowling was too much of an individual.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is likely to be live-service in the style of Suicide Squad, as WB execs admit that the first game didn't make enough money.

CEO's obsession with GAAS is ultimately the reason why they keep losing money and shutting down studios. truly ironic.
Counterpoint: if I take an established serie and cut costs I can raise profits just in time to collect my bonus and frick off
>Outsold CoD and FIFA of the year
>Nah, GaaS would win
Do shareholders really?
Fortnite made more money than it though.

Was there ever a good mod for this game that removed all the minorities?
Didn't buy it, but it sold and reviewed well, explain how that is a failure? You can't unless you use a bullshit arbitrary metric.
See

It's not the industry thats broken, it's the customers who spoke with their wallets.
Are trannies STILL seething and malding over this game?
Isn't this a run of the mill Ubisoft open world with nostalgia bait targeted at millennials?
Yes, and that ultimately all it needed to be.
I enjoyed it but the best part was doing stuff at the school. They should have honed on on making a hogwarts student simulator.
