>Widely considered the best in the series
>Releases Bomberman World, Bomberman Hero, Bomberman Party Edition and Bomberman Online in rapid succession instead
If there's one thing Hudson did horribly wrong, it was milking this franchise dry and ensuring their developers got burned out of it by the end. You could literally erase half of these games from existence and nothing of value would be lost. They really needed to focus on a few titles per generation, or even one game per-console, but make them all higher quality and more consistent.

Bomberman 64 is the only good Bomberman and I'm not even a tendie. I'd even go further and say they could nuke every other Bomberman. I have no idea why this is even series
>Bomberman 64
Overrated.
This. The N64 games were the most interesting bomberman games everything else is just the same exact game.
the funny thing is most hardcore bomberman fans consider the N64 games the weakest in the series. 3d adds nothing to gameplay except tedium. saturn bomberman, super 2 4 5 and '94 pc engine are the holy grail. have you played these? if not youre opinion isnt exactly worth listening to.
OOT sucks dick so does Smash
Bomberman is fricking boring and every game is the same thing. It’s cute or whatever but Bomberman wasn’t going to save Saturn.
Wrong one, Bomberman Hero on N64 is the only good Bomberman game by virtue of not being an Bomberman game and it has an amazing DnB soundtrack that’s better than the game itself. It’s so good Konami officially pressed it to vinyl (then again they fricking press anything to vinyl now).
Take your nostalgia for 5th gen and shove it. Early 3D games are all objectively terrible, but the peak of 2D was great.
Also electronic music sucks it's gay club music.
If you played one Bomberman you played them all. At least Bomberman Hero tried to evolve the character.
I do like games, I just said I like Bomberman Hero.
>If you played one Bomberman you played them all. At least Bomberman Hero tried to evolve the character.
It's not about characters. It's about strategic movement and bombing. Literally who other than the biggest autist in the world would care about story or "character" in a Bomberman game?
If you played one Bust-a-Move you played them all
If you played one Puyo you played them all.
If you played one Columns you played them all.
There were a billion versions of Bomberman people could play, this didn’t get ported to the dying Saturn because it wouldn’t have sold. Bomberman Hero barely has a story too, but at least it wasn’t just Bomberman again.
There's more value in being the best version of a tried and true formula than being "the spesthul one cuz N64 nostalgia muh early 3d gimmickry"
Every argument you make just reeks of "i'm a casual"
You reek of old balding permavirgin.
We all know this is the best version of Bomberman anyways so frick off.
>nintendo fanboy who is interested in the character lore of fricking bomberman
>calls others virgins
You were definitely born after the year 2000. Also, you can make the EXACT same arguement for almost any video game ever made. Including Dark Souls (OMG), Call of Duty (NO WAY), and even Metroidvanias (NOOOOOO!!)
I hate you a lot. I don’t want to talk to you moron, please enjoy your life though.
I was born in 1991.
You hate ME a lot? How much hate? Would you kill me? In your 30+ years of life, how would you judge your hate of me?
Problem with these games is that in order to keep them interesting they have to ramp up the gimmicks, which are inevitably not fun. Looking at Bust-a-Move specifically. Bomberman gets away with it because it’s more action based.
>i like music not games
why should anyone give a shit about your opinion.

I’m serious homosexuals, listen to this bullshit, it’s so chrome and clean. Not only that but a woman composed it. Idk what it is with good electronic music and Japanese women because Parasite Eve is the same way.
>Bomberman Hero on N64 is the only good Bomberman game
it's an extremely mediocre platformer
Exactly.
Relax moron.
I like the 2d bumberman games but the 64 games were something completely different.
The best bomberman game is too far off from being considered retro.
Bomberman Hero is fun to screw around in but this is the best actual Bomberman.
bomberman and momotaro printed easy money. there was no other reason. the games had huge sales on sfc and ps1. this would supplant the company to create higher density projects like tengai makyou and contract out games like bulk slash and galaxy yuna.
also: their shooting caravan series transitioned into bomberman events. they needed constant product. look up bomberman hi ten the first hd game.
I used to play this in the special high res widescreen mode with a 10 player tap.
The soundtrack is extraordinary.
>The soundtrack is extraordinary.
Nah, it's the weakest thing about the game. Generic elevator music.
>Generic elevator music
This is what happens to zoomers who get their brains fried after listening to Billie Eilish and Ed Sheeran. They no longer recognize real music.
jun chikuma was so immensely talented. i cant comprehend the dogshit take in any form that her music was poor.
The most fun thing about Bomberman is the item that actually lets you throw them. Watching the bombs bounce off of a line of blocks all the way to the other side of the arena to catch an opponent is enjoyable.
That said, once you play one game you're played them all so just pick the one you grew up with and move on. Fantasy Race is also based.
Only the loud vocal minority of Shiturn trannies says this
I'll take Hero over Saturn any day.
It's not even a great Saturn game either imo
This was the game real gamers played
64 was the game babies played
Probably because it's called saturn bomberman
the Saturn one letting players who've been knocked out throw bombs in from the sides was fun
Sure, whatever, but the platformer style Pocket Bomberman on Game Boy Color is an absolute overlooked gem. I wish they made more 2D platformers within the series.
