A guaranteed way to get people to like your favourite pokemon is to spread hate for it at first. The contrarians will eventually come around to insisting it's amazing for you.
I liked the idea that they were based on Victorians basically shoving random bones together and declaring it a dinosaur.
The problem is we couldn't have get the correct forms.
The UK is also famous for its fossils so there were better options to begin with. belemnites are so common you find them everywhere that would have been an easy Galarian Omanyte
Dracozolt is one of my favorite pokemon. It's just so dumb.
Dracovish is pretty cool to the anime helped with that. But the other too are a bit shit. they just look sad to be alive.
Fossil mon aren't guarenteed every gen.
we skipped gen 2-7-9
though this is the gen where there are no fossil pokemon available at all. Which was weird for a game based around time travel.
They could have packed scarlet full of fossilmon and violet full of robotic mon.
Are there many robotic mon though? Modern tech style mon.
Personally I'd make replace the stegosaurus Draco- hind with a Spinosaurus hind so that they can make fun of the constantly-shifting idea of how Spinosaurus moved. Aside from that there is no chance we will get a spino mon.
That being said making that our Dunkleosteus Pokemon since the real one's body was never found is a neat idea.
The problem is that it seems that they went with the absolute lamest and weirdest route for the concept of having chimeric fossils. It's like they made decent designs, and then deliberately sabotaged them (now flip the head upside down/now put the head on the wrong end of the body/now make the proportions fricked).

This art makes them look decent.
The official models and artwork on release made them look uncomfortable.
They ARE uncomfortable.
Because instead of making complete standard dinosaurs or any other interesting extinct species from mammals, fish or birds, they made these...
They did something actually creative instead of drawing my mom’s animal but rock type therefore they’re bad.
>muh subverted expectations
>muh boring cartoon elemental animal I’ll forget after 5 seconds

The correct forms not existing is literally the entire point.
>you don’t get it! The point is that it’s supposed to be shit
Cope and seethe harder BBND-chud
You
Bought
It
Anyways
:^)
>m-muh boogeyman
Im an antdexchad which is why I’m glad those 4 ugly shitmons got cut from sv, the superior pokemon switch game. also ywnbaw
Shit point. Change it immediately.

>projecting your midlife crisis onto the cartoon monsters
>gimmick so shit that all fossilmons got cut from gen 9
tanks a lot, Turner
They literally showed yesterday that the fossils are gonna come back in the DLC
>he think brachiosaurus raikou is a fossilmon
fricking idiot
Where did I say I was talking about new fossilmons? Think before writing your brainfarts you fricking mongoloid moron
Only the Sinnoh fossils are returning

>Modern tech style mon.
Porygon. All 3 were in PLA too lmfao.
Fossils are redundant in a gen with prehistoric paradox mons
People wanted the "real" fossils, that's the only reason there's outrage.
The Big Booty Dino is the only one that people actually like the most for reasons...
Dracovish is the most popular
For Ashgays, no one else cares
>make some cute velociraptors
>slap a giant ass on the back

It should have been just one (dracozolt) instead of clogging up 4 dex spaces
Arctozolt is so goofy that I kind of love him. I never played shit and shill though, so I haven't actually used him or seen him in action.
He would be moronicly overpowered in a Slowking core. It's such a shame he's not in SV
>I never played
You're missing out.
>neglected to portray correctly
Holy autism.
because "It's based on (X)" is not inherently a good reason for a literal suffering mon that the Ashnime of course neglected to portray correctly
>no frankenstein combination
Wasted

How else would you do it while keeping the concept obvious?
Well I think that a dinosaur having a dunkleosteus head is obvious enough of a chimera
These are abominations.
