Surprisingly, Ganker still makes a lot of OC, at least compared to other large boards. I don't browse /misc/ but I assume they have their fair share since I always see political garbage that would only be from there posted here and other places. Compare to Ganker, which maybe once in a blue moon has low effort OC in a seasonal anime thread and nothing that captures the whole board, kind of like the TLoU or Forspoken edits did briefly.
OC pops up more when something more global happens to the boards like april fools. With /b/ completely dead the soul of the website is gone because /b/ has infested every other board with Ganker literally becoming new /b/. /b/ was a shitty board but at least you could post basically anything there. One of the biggest issues with Ganker is that everyone craves what /b/ was and keep trying to use Ganker as /b/. Maybe a few years ago mods went through /b/ and started mass banning all the /soc/ shit and porn but because all of those third worlders already know how to use a proxy and change IPs it just came back faster and faster. The whole board that day actually looked like it was being force fed chemo but the mods gave up because there really is no stopping the cancer. Ganker isn't /b/ and it never should be but at least i can have a glimpse of something every once in a while on Ganker. I also just like video games.
