Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
So far the only contender I could imagine overtaking them is either Star Citizen (if it actually even ever comes out) or Starfield.
Nothing Ever Happens Shirt $21.68 |
I liked it, to be quite honest with you op (orignal poster)
the new update will fix it!!!
Can you get cuckolded by a huge hung black guy in this game? Games where I can do this?
any snoy game
I got you bro, try any souls slop game their fanbase mostly consist of people with the same fetish
It's just another overhyped AAA game that turned out to be just OK. Personally I liked it well enough.
Even ignoring the massive amount of bugs and the god awful performance, the game isn't good.
there are hardly any bugs or performance issues at all now. I'm being 100% serious. I ran into nothing that blocked progress or broke the game during 90 or so hours
Ok, I specifically said ignoring those things. The game sucks at its core, the bugs were just icing on the cake.
considering their only real focus was fixing all the quest softlocks in the game for the past what, over two years since release that's not really an accomplishment
Only 90 hours? So one playthrough?
You haven't played long enough to identify whether something is broken or not.
works on my machine
Yes it is. It just isn't great. You smoothbrains need to stop pretending anything under 5 stars is absolute shit.
Cyberpunk is everything modern gamers want. An epik loot and shoot bing bing wahoo keanu reeves sick dark future.
Ganker needs to realize that people actually do love blasting mooks and selling junk while wubwub sounds are playing in your ears for 20 hours straight. The only reason this game got half as much shit as it did was because it was quite literally unplayable but otherwise this really is the modern gamer's dream game. No one actually cares about muh rpg elements they're just mad their PS5 kept crashing every time they killed SkidMark Billy.
it's a passable game. was it the next gen life sim RPG powerhouse we were promised? no, it was never going to be, the devs are eurotrash.
Devs are slavs, not Europeans.
moron
Keep coping, asiatic steppe invaders, you'll never be Europeans.
>asiatic steppe invaders
But those are Finns, Hungarians and Germans.
yeah, all slavs are europeans, turns out.
Lets play find the console player. I ran cyberpunk at release with a fricking rx580 at 1080/60 - graphics mostly set at medium. Turning down the crowds instantly boosted performance
Most people can "Run" cyberpunk, but cyberpunk doesn't "run" at stable fps
Black person
Runs at stable FPS on my GPU, maybe upgrade your potato with an aging intel processor and a 1080 Ti
Cyberpunk sits comfortably at 90 fps at high on my 2070s with DLSS, the only part of the game that runs poorly is the diner area where you first talk to johnny, but other than that it runs fine now
It's perfectly mediocre lootershooter.
Liking cyber troony is admition of being cuck.
Scam citizen takes the 1st place at being scam of the century when it comes to games.
Name another game that let's me murder trannies in 4k ultra hd. I'll wait.
i am reporting you to the police
Are you fricking moron? No Man Sky was worse both in term of scam and outright lies AND disappointement, and that's only a exemple among many others. Cyberpunk was overhyped, but the game was perfectly enjoyable if you're on PC. moronic OP, hope every poster here saged their reply at least, upping this garbage of a thread would be a waste, even for this shitty board.
stay mad esl
his post is grammatically and syntactically superior to yours, shithead.
Funny thing tho, compared to CP2077, No Man Sky devs delivered lots of stuff afterwards for free.
yeah so cyberpunk was actually worse than NMS
Cyberpunk was actually decent at launch tho
No.
Yes.
I played it when it first came out, had no issues that jumped out at me besides one of the abilities not seeming to give rewards, and went through at least 30 hours. It was a perfectly cromulent experience. Not great, but I was entertained for a long while.
>cromulent
I can smell you from here, don't you EVER reply to me again.
That's your own dickcheese bucko
Leave it to CDPRdrones to think about wieners.
>console peasants
literally who gives a frick? I played it day 1 PC, had 0 bugs. Only problem with the game were the half-baked features like police response and that's being fixed.
I played on pc day 1 and it was one of the worst experiences i ever had to go through with a pc launch title. Dogshit performance on a 3070 on top of being riddled with bugs. The mediocre at best story, sterile world, and the bland gameplay didn't help either.
I'm pretty sure it's still the worst performing game released on PC in the past couple years below even that terrible harry gooner game
Likewise. Crashed 4 times in 3 hours and it was bursting with weird, funny, and game breaking bugs. Total piece of shit software.
There's no way you had zero bugs in a game that buggy
>I played it day 1 PC, had 0 bugs
I mean you gotta be pretty fricking stupid to try to spread lies about CP2077 having 0 bugs on day 1.
It still does some of this shit
Oh my god.. that's like face of the game. It's a black fade. If you're that clueless at least add 2s delay and hope it loads the assets.. wtf. Even code monkeys know that. Nah, lets fade to T-posing naked butts INSTANTLY.
I bet it's some arrogant butthole who just screeched at devs how
>ThErE MUST bE nO LoAdinG sCreENs
But then again... not everything can be explained by slow systems. Some things are just plain wrong on conceptual level, like how most of city "life" functions.
It's been two and a half years and it will still do this shit even on top end systems
I'm not the smartest here but could it have loaded the assets ahead of time? Like a duplication in ways other games have gotten around fade to blacks?
>loaded the assets ahead of time
absolutely. there are more advanced methods. but even a moron can see that you see naked V at 0:14 and he's fully there at 0:16. And basically nothing happens during that tame that requires dynamic loading - like V swapping shirts or something. So you just populate the scene starting with black square rigth up to camera and then add 2 seconds of standing still to animation. Probably doesn't even require engine coding and can be patched in as animation / quest script.
So i'm fairly certain many of those blatant, core game element ruining bugs are due to some entitled butthole forcing moronic ways things should be done. Cuz it hiz vizhan, or because thats how we do things since MS-DOS or or... you know the usual manager bullshit.
>Cyberpunk was actually decent at launch tho
Kek, frick you Sasko, get back to work.
moron
I actually didn’t have many problems with it at launch. The more they added the patches the worse the bugs got for a while but it runs fine for me now.
Compared to cyberpunk, nms also delivered infinitely less for full price ...
NMS is a fricking snorefest
>Are you fricking moron
I kek'd. Fricking pajeets
No, it's a recovery story.
People seem pretty ambivalent to true disasters in all realms of society. CDPR getting off as easy as they did is actually pretty astounding and shows how little people care about the industry anymore
>shows how little people care about the industry anymore
It just shows how profitable AAA game dev is now. In 1995 a studio would die after such a failure, but not because people cared, just because there isn't enough margin for error and investors were skittish. Now the industry is more than 10 times larger (30B vs 380B today) so any studio of devs who have any sort of track record gets investors for the hope of the +10 million copies sold game.
CDPR probably would have been far worse off if they didn't have GoG to fall back on
It's like valve releasing half life 3 and it being a total disaster
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
No, it will go down in history as one of the biggest redemption arcs in history.
Everything about the controversy will be forgotten, everything bad about the game will be ignored.
The morons got their open world shooter that they truly believe to be a deep and meaningful fully realized video game version of the TTRPG with the whole game just oozing with endless rolpaying potential.
And of course theres the anime as well.
Only bad thing people will remember or will be reminded about is that it had some glitches and then it was fixed by the dedicated and humble corporation that tried fricking them over shamelessly.
This will keep happening again and again because people do not fricking learn.
Smh a couple of bugfixes and a mediocre anime is all it took for people to forget all the promised features that turned out to be lies
>couple of bugfixes
See this is why we laugh are your disingenuous moronation
>plays cyberpunk 2077
>proceeds to gobble corpo dick
every time
List the promised features that are missing from the game. Bonus points if you can find where these features were promised to prove they weren't made up in your head.
Have you seen any trailers or seen/read interviews surrounding cyberpunk? The ones I can list off the top of my head are:
>wanted system and corrupt police
>Strong RPG elements
>Unique Daily Routine and AI for the NPCs
>Quest decisions affecting the world
>Life paths being impactful
>Game will launch when it's ready
>Dynamic weather system
>weapon customization
>Vehicle customization
For me it's meaningless cyberware, the lion's share of which just makes your numbers bigger, and doesn't even change your looks.
>And of course theres the anime as well
What does that have to do with cyberslop? What does that have to do with the boring perks, Reeves hogging most of the spot light, the lackluster dialogue options, the irrelevant origin system, the cutscene that shows all the cool shit you can't do, the e-celebs cameo, the diablo-tier itemization or most or the game not having a third-person view? The game is a slop, fellated by redditors that clap whenever they see an A-list actor. have a nice day.
>What does that have to do with cyberslop?
It made people buy the game
>Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming
Big release fiasco yes, biggest scam? not by a mile.
Star Citizen has such an insanely massive lead it is impossible for Cyberpunk to catch up to that level of scam
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
No.
Have they put everything which was marketed in all the trailers yet?
Should it? Yes
Will it? No. Most people are morons and already forgot what was promised. It's now a mediocre game and that's enough for them.
>Shazamtards still crying about Cyberpunk more then three years later
forced outrage
>yeah I raped your mother
>it has been 3 years though
>forgive and forget
>comparing a buggy launch to raping your mother
yup, classic forced outrage
keep shoving out that rageslop
You shouldn't forgive a rapist because that's unforgivable and it might happen again, but you SHOULD forgive a lying video game company because...uh...
that's right, you keep doubling down on rageslop no one will suspect that you are just another redditor trying too hard to fit in with your forced outrage
No Mans Sky is bigger, Cyberpunk was way too over hyped and people had their own idea of what the game was going to be.
no man's sky actually patched in some of the shit they lied about, cdpr never did that
CDPR didn't lie about anything.
Meanwhile Sean was still talking about how NMS was co-op the day it launched.
One thing CDPR lied about was multiplayer and so did no man's sky, but the difference is no man's sky actually patched a rudimentary multiplayer in
CDPR are worse devs than the no man's sky devs
Disingenuous gay.
He right, though? They were openly caught lying about the game and the content it would have. How is that being disingenuous?
Co-op was never formally announced or advertised. It was always a "yeah we'll get to it later maybe" deal.
Meanwhile NMS was explicitly advertised as having co-op at launch with people only finding out after buying it.
>Co-op was never formally announced or advertised.
Lies
Prove it. Show me a store page or a back of the box blurb that mentions co-op.
You won't find one, because I'm right.
What about half a dozen news articles all saying that CDPR was developing multiplayer for Cyberpunk, and had even accepted money fro mthe polish government in order to do so?
>show me proof
>what about this proof that I'm not going to provide? checkmate
Shut the frick up.
>source
nta. https://www.gamesindustry.biz/cd-projekt-red-techland-receive-grants-from-polish-governments-usd27-4m-research-fund
I'm not the original anon so I'm not going to look at this article, but thank you for providing a source and at least trying to argue in good faith.
>thank you for providing a source but i wont read it
frick off homosexual and take your homosexual attitude with you.
Cheers man going to order a pizza soon and play some video games. You're a cool guy in my book
Go watch a marvel movie homosexual, just try not to cry at the end.
Thanks bud looking forward to it. Make sure you calm down before you get off the PC so you don't take it out on your family they don't deserve that
>calling him s𐐬y
>mad about video games
yikes...
moron
>I will accept no proof that CDPR was telling news agencies they were developing multiplayer as that's not "real" announcements
What's a "real" announcement?
A release date+price.
Ah so you will defend CDPR's right to lie about their product and you will spam the thread claiming that it was flawless
How are you not permabanned yet?
You asked and got your answer. Don't like it? Tough shit.
Either way, cancelling a vague DLC isn't in any way comparable to quickly using stickers to cover up missing features at launch while still persisting in the lie.
Answering why you will not accept evidence with "I know I'm a caustic liar and spammer and I defend CDPR's right to lie about their products but will still spam their threads with they did nothing wrong"
isn't an answer, that's just you admitting you should be permabanned
Okay Sean.
Is this you saying "I know I'm a caustic liar and spammer and I defend hello games's right to lie about their products but will still spam their threads with they did nothing wrong"?
Yeah, that's what I thought b***h.
>Co-op was never formally announced or advertised.
Bullshit, lol. They also lied about future DLC being free. What a shocker. Why are you fricking idiots forcing yourselves to lie about this company? Are you Polish?
The ps4 could not handle third person mode, you think they'd be able to do fricking co-op too?? Can't just release a gamemode for just 1 platform either, all of them have to suffer!
To be fair, if they hadn't showed off a bunch of tech demos and prerendered fake gameplay, I don't think people would be as mad as they are.
It's literally just a knock-off bethesda game and better at being one than outer worlds.
>Cyberpunk gone down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there
FTFY
this thread stinks of redditcore, how forced...
>CDPR fixed the g-ACK!
you have been seething about this game since at least 2018
why is that, anon? do you not have something better to do with your life?
>make cyberpunk thread
>spam the thread saying it never had any bugs
How are you not permabanned yet?
Hey atleast he didnt give them a pass like a cuck/you.
I'll keep on dabbing CDPR slop until they'll stop making garbage games. Revisionism won't save cyberslop nor will it turn it into a good RPG let alone a good game.
forced shitposting, how redditcore...
>redditcore
You gotta love when polskitroons keep using buzzwords to pretend that they didn't start browsing this shithole 2 weeks ago. The game is trash, the anime didn't redeem shit, CDPR are blackrock prostitutes and they will never add a multiplayer mode to the game. You can keep pretending to have fun but you can't convince people that the game is good. Cope, seeth and dilate.
>le cope
>le seethe
>le dilate
Yup, that’s redditcore alright, now keep posting this rageslop I’m sure you will fit in on Ganker someday
They did though homosexual
Source?
The game, you should try it and stop being a contrarian homosexual
I did, it was a slog and I refunded that piece of shit. I've been shitting on it ever since.
just waiting for EGS to give it away for free
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
Its only flaw is that it was made for the ps4 first, without 10 years of limitations holding them back, the devs might have actually been able to make something decent.
Lol the actual game, the story, the missions, the writing, the mechanics, all SUCK.
The story and writing are great.
They SUCK so bad. Are you 10? And gay? Thats the only way you can think Cyberpunk has good writing .
It's servicable, but there are little surprises or plot twists, especially since they spoiled better half of it in trailers and the other half was fabrication that wasn't in game.
There's some depth to the premise, but they never dig at it. It's always lost under the dumb to bone one-liners, neon-puke graphics and fragmentation of their quest engine. Like the strugle between V and Johnny could've been much deeper, both script wise and gameplay element wise.
Both the game and anime functioned as a story with little else going on. The anime worked better because you had a cast of set characters that could work off each other but the game suffers the usual "OC make your toony" shit that makes good stories mediocre and ok stories being garbage. It's why the Witcher games were so good, you were playing a flesh out person. Not some blob that they can't even assume the gender of.
No, it was pretty good.
Dont care, Shazam lost
funny how far people are willing to defend games where the only redeeming factor is porn mods
you just described like, 90% of Bethesda's libary
Holy rent free.
anon, if people couldn't mod Serena into a vampire waifu sexslave then Skyrim would of died years ago, especially on Ganker
>cyberpunk isn't shit because it's an unfinished pile of trash and lies, it's because it's about getting lucky with your modding community
Remember when shills were spamming for months that cyberpunk was going to be a bethesda killer because they were going to release mod tools with it
Luckily I didn't buy into that, because I know better than to expect anything out of CDPR's official modding tools given how well Witcher 2 and 3 went over on that front.
Bethesda games don't really get proper mod support until a year or two in anyways either, and until a script extender gets released they're completely useless anyways.
there is also a good chance that bethesda might be trying to pull stricter mod control anyway by possibly expanding the reach of creator club
have to wonder how much they were paid to do the stadia version
It's not a bad game but it didn't live up to the hype. And the fact CDPRED continued with the practice of outright lying about the game's possibilities makes it reviled. I pirated it and played it and had some fun with it but I refuse yo give my money to scummy companies.
>Polska kurwa still being dabbed on years after
Kek.
Star citizen exist
It already has, it is in the New York museum of failures.
I'm legitimately surprised that there are morons out there who genuinely like this piece of shit, also I will never forgive them for what they did to fem v
Took a dogshit on a diarrhea? have a nice day, goblina simp.
I'm still waiting for them to finish the game but I'm looking forward to playing it
Soon™
>Doubting Todd
Heh.
Yes
Go outside, this isn't even a blip on the radar of scam games.
Im waiting for the Phantom Liberty bundle to play it. Expansion overhauls the whole game.
>Expansion overhauls the whole game.
I liked this game and I think the expansion is getting seriously overblown. Most of the changes largely seem aesthetic or are things ripped directly from mods. Cops spawning around corners instead of out of thin air right next to you is hardly an achievement, and they haven't actually shown any vehicle combat except for stuff similar to the on rails shooting from car segments that are already in game.
While stripping away the focus on incremental stats and the dogshit weapon scaling for a more action oriented game and perks focused on abilities and movement instead of crap like +5% to critical chance is a good change and one the game should have gone for from the start, that alone isn't going to warrant the hype this expansion is getting.
I really hope the crafting system is dumped or remodeled with this, but since they haven't mentioned it yet, I doubt it.
Of course the expansion is overblown, the only thing they said they were going to fix was cops not spawning behind you anymore
Define "Scam". I personally liked it as it portrayed what a hyper-capitalist society looked like and you got to experience it through V.
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
biggest YET. et the extra terrestrial, Daikatana, star shitizen, dook nukem, all just another domino in the path as games get bigger and bigger. In 10 years when 6 billion people play video games Im sure there will be a bigger flop that makes cybershart just a footnote, and consumers will never learn because a sucker is born every day.
Played through the whole game, at lunch with the high end computer.. had no issues..great game
Porting this game to the last gen system was a mistake, PS4 older Xbox .. what were they thinking??
But putting that aside the game was objectively good on proper hardware.
Yes last gen consoles were a massive factor holding the game back but there are some fundamental design decisions that are also kinda fricked. The games inconsistency between wanting to be an action title and a crpg hold it back.
Enemy difficulty almost always solely becing a matter of how high their stats are as opposed to how potent their abilities and cyberware are is a noticable flaw that drags down the game. What the player is capable with movement and abilities is fun, but there is hardly a single opponent in the game capable of providing a challenge that requires the player to use any skills they've obtained. Even Adam Smasher, the settings version of "Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies" can barely touch any half decent build at the game's highest difficulty.
On xbox you have to buy cyberpunk to get the new DLC story
The last 3 times I tried to play the game between release and 1.5.whatever, I actually had more bugs than in even Star Citizen, and less fun than Star Citizen.
So I think it's the worst one
>I actually had more bugs than in even Star Citizen, and less fun than Star Citizen.
Such as?
He will just lie
MIssions where NPCs were getting stuck in the floor (off a street after a major part of the story, a warehouse), automatically detecting me when not moving and not seen, reloading saves pre-incident and still having crimestat from the police near my apartment, etc.
Just a shit experience that didn't immerse me at all
It's an open world deus ex which I find fun, but the overhype got people thinking it was real life or some shit.
I feel like that's entirely on them. Because every gameplay presentation they did was pretty much how the game ended playing, with a few cut features like wallrunning, which they were upfront about. It was as described and nothing more, and for some reason everyone expected more.
That pole who owns the studio made a huge error when he told The Witcher RPG devs to hand-craft a teaser trailer before the devteam had decided on what kind of game it would be.
>RPG guys promised an RPG
>whoops turns out the other team who shilled "lets make GTA because GTA makes the big money" ended up being the direction that upper management decided on (but then failed to even make a good bootleg GTA)
>The Witcher devs have all left the company by this point because they were burned by management
Sans trying to make the game compatible with last gen consoles, the RPG elements are definitely the biggest mistake in the game. The game should have focused entirely on Action from the starts. Drop garbage like health bars and gun stats and focus entirely on enemies with interesting abilities while the player has their own.
Diablo loot is the worst part of this game.
It's the same system from Witcher 3. Completely garbage system, but I guess nobody complain about loot system in Witcher 3, so they leave it that way.
Everyone complained about it. It was just easy to ignore because the Witcher sets exist.
No its significantly worse, because the Witcher allows you to always upgrade stuff as long as you have materials. There are also several witcher sets which are just objectively better than 99.9% of the stuff you find, so looting weapons can reliably be ignored. In Cyberpunk you need points in a specific skill tree in order to build or upgrade numerous weapons. Upgrading weapons takes exponentially more components each time you level, so if you get an Epic or Legendary item early its stupidly expensive to keep it up to spec.
For most of the guns you can just recraft them. But also components are super cheap and in abundance at vendors.
That's still way more gay busywork than going to a blacksmith every dozen hours or so and upgrading a pair of swords.
>Watched a little bit of marketing when the game was coming out
>"Ah, a first person simplified rpg with bethesda dialog, ok."
>Game comes out
>It's exactly that
I don't kmow where people got that it was gonna be gta or whatever from. It's like how people think starfield is gonna be anything other than fallout 4 with a starship minigame when loading a new map.
Another point and click game with a lot of mediocre steampunk side stories and a very typical steam punk main story
did you forget Mass Effect Andromeda? Forspoken? Battlefield 2042? Balan Wonderland?
There's so many ACTUAL scams out there, I bet you're just riding the hate bandwagon because you don't get much dick like a homosexual you are.
To be fair, at least those games were mostly ended up being what they were advertised as, even if they were broken and messy.
For me the big disappointment wasn't the bugs. It was the lackluster RPG mechanics and lifeless world.
We didn't even get fricking Fallout 4: Cyberpunk Edition. Literally just Witcher 3 but with some shitty barebones GTA mechanics thrown on top of it. All it did was make me realize just how lackluster Witcher 3 is without the story and characters to carry it.
Cyberpunk was a million times better than any Bethesda game. Less ambitious in design but way more competent.
cyberpunk is proof that if your game fails it's because your marketing just wasn't good enough
no man's sky is another example
yes because obviously the marketing was the problem here...
that's the point, the marketing was the only good thing about the game
when your marketing is good you can market literal dogshit like cyberpunk and break records
only for latinas enjoyers
Isn't she Native American or some shit?
It's a cluncky, censored piece of meh with less than good movement options, and terrible vehicles.
Star Citizen just needs an anime and everyone will pretend it's finished.
The year is 2038. And the world tethers on the brink of war. Radical ultra-nationalists have seized power in Moscow. Their goal; the re-establishment of the old Soviet empire. Ukraine. Belarus. Kazakhstan. One by one the nearby independent republics slip back into the Russian orbit. Russian tanks sit in Caucasus mountains and the Baltic forests, poised to strike to the southeast.
Based. Slava Rossiyi!
Zoomer.
I'm 41, why aren't you on the front Oleg
What are you even talking about? Take your meds.
No, the launch was a fricking disaster but it had a major turnaround in public opinion after two straight years of updates and a decent anime.
The Cyberpunk hatetrain is even more moronic than the hypetrain. Learn to think for yourself.
post hands
I finished this today. Overall enjoyed it, though I can't shake the feeling it could have been way better. Didn't finish all the Badlands shit yet so will just clean that up then wait for the expansion
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favorite games of all time. OP you're moronic.
That just means you have shit taste.
>looks at list
Nope, that's a superior taste list.
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
no. Far from it. In fact, it's likely to go down as one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
This. Edgerunners hype + Phantom Liberty and its supposed "overhaul" of the main game are going to get 90% of the people who were initially disappointed back in CDPR's dick.
This is true and I am one of those suckers. Looking forward to trying it out for the first time this October / November (after GPU benchmarks and critical bug fixes are out).
I thought the anime was pretty good
this fricking character design is so repulsive. how can anyone like it?
and no i didn't watch the weebshit show, never will either.
I don't think so, no. It's a pretty decent story-driven single player game with it's biggest flaw being a pointless open world. People deluded themselves into expecting the next evolution of a GTA style open world and were disappointed because it never tried to be that.
Not even close.
No Man Sky on launch, Spore or the original Fable top Cyberpunk. You are just suffering from either underage syndrome or recency bias.
>Will Cyberpunk go down in history as one of the biggest fricking scams and disappointments in gaming out there?
yup. if it was a ubisoft game nobody would've batted an eye and it would get it's rightful 6/10 score, but following up witcher 3 at peak normie hype? insane letdown
It worked fine on pc day 1
If you hold the opinion there's something wrong with it; pick your poison:
console consumer
attention seeking needing (you)s
completely thoughtless and a drone to globohomosexual journos
Star Citizen is the absolute worst offender. Cyberpunk and NMS are at minimum okay-ish products by now but their launches were hilariously bad.
I’m betting Starfield will be a (mostly) playable game on release so it probably won’t register remotely close on the scam scale
but it has boobs and an anime what more could a redditor want?
I just want to be able to play the fricking game without unannounced hotfix patches breaking every mod.
On release I'd agree it was scammy as frick, but it's pretty good now as long as you're not playing on last gen consoles (but you wouldn't play a first person game with a controller anyway, would you? You're not that moronic right?).
I beat the game a couple months ago and quite enjoyed it, so they redeemed it somewhat.
Star Citizen is *literally* a scam instead of a falsely marketed product, so I think that game is still wearing the Scam Crown.
>you wouldn't play a first person game with a controller anyway, would you?
For driving and walking around, I do. Swap to keyboard whenever a fight breaks out.
Star Citizen is slowly transitioning to being Ark:Survival Evolved with spaceships. Like, the core gameplay loops are there, they're just eight years behind where they should be on content. Also they need to fix AI because bunkers are a moronic cakewalk right now.
Isn't ARK just pokemon?
I can't believe how front loaded this was. The assault on Arasaka HQ was so limp compared to the heist in the prologue.
For how many times the game was scrapped and started over in development it's about what I was expecting
The nomad version was pretty great.
