This. It looks like a team of people desperately trying to capture the mood of the second game, without understanding or appreciating what it is they're trying to recreate.

      Is your hat a fedora?

      Anonymous

You should buy a leather hat. Just incase. The bar is set incredibly low for the intended audience and at first they will at least think it's amazing.
You can actually make leather edible if you can get the modern tanning chemicals out of it.

whats the chance that d4 will try to capture the streamertroony audience and try to make the game like PoE where they autistically try to kill everything with 0.000001 seconds?

      >whats the chance that d4 will try to capture the streamertroony audience
It's already caught that audience. And you know that it's going to get great sales until people settle down and actually ackowledge the flaws.

Great initial sales, and then maybe after 6 months of farming they realize the flaws? seems like your average diablo player

Diablo 3 was too casual a playthrough. The only fun weapons for the demon hunter for example was the artillary shot, or the death ball AOE thing. And even then, they didn't give us the kind of fun we expected. Too much elites with bullet sponge HP in the higher levels, and the loot was not even interesting anymore.
You barely even fight with ordinary weapons, it's mostly about the skills.
That was the problem with Alexander the Iron-Fist and why I didn't like him in Elden Ring. He said he was a Warrior Jar, but all he gives you is enhancements to Weapon Skills. I don't want weapon skills, I want raw strength. I thought that was the point of the jar warriors, but he was all just an empty shatterable vase in the end.

None of them were good is you understand Schopenhaur or buddism. The entire premise of the AARP because fundamentally the game is a math problem where you take your data against enemy data and seek to gain more data from them so you can get better data from harder enemies and so on and so forth.

The game does not require tactics or mechanical skill beyond memorization and repeating patterns over and over again. The enemies cant think or adapt to what you are doing and over time you will experience a stagnant progression and quit. The only people who will stay are ones with low intelligence or autism who enjoy doing repetative tasks. Fundamentally regardless of a change of scenery and music you will over time get to a point where the game feels like you are playing the same thing over and over again with a degradation of the amount of dopamine released.

The only real trick here is that D4 is something new and exciting with new graphics and new enemies but over time you brain will become acustomed to it and grow bored.

Eseentially D4 is just another game in the cyle of consume thing get exciting to consume next new thing. Really at best your experience will be a rush of novelty and infatuation followed by rationalization and then full on depression leading to you quiting thinking this isnt D2 because honestly you arent a kid anymore and your brain doesnt function the same way. You are never going to recapture the magic of D2 or D1 and you should stop chasing the dragon.

This is fundamentally why D4 cannot be a good game because the AI tech isnt in the consumer sector to improve game development and keep things fresh. You will always be decieving yourself.

Frick off, I want to bot so I can capitalize on casual morons falling for the RMT meme so they can catch up, making me shitloads of money in the process so I can spend it on better games

Every single game where "powergain" is the main gimmick is going to have RMT to some extent, even games where it just exists but isn't focused on has it and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it, the devs can only work around it in various ways so that it doesn't ruin the integrity of the game.

      >INB4 lolno, moron
just google "Elden Ring RMT" if you want a fairly recent example of what I'm talking about, even when the players themselves can just spawn the items for themselves using cheat engine or save file editors with minimum knowledge of how the game works there are STILL morons paying for others to do it for them

I get it's popular and easy to use Blizz as a pinata but the simple fact is they keep making good games whether you like it or not and there only real strike outs have been on MMORPGs shit so who really cares? D4 will be GOAT'd.

Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 were both butcherings of classic games aimed mainly at roping it normies and making a shitload of money, compared to how Diablo and Starcraft were just genuine games made by nerds for nerds. Starcraft 2 was aimed at esport korean Black folk and diablo 3 tried to rope in MMO gays and people who never played diablo before. Everything else you mentioned on the list are just products they crapped out to attract normies and make fat stacks. Old blizzard was literally just a bunch of nerds making games FOR nerds, but they started going downhill after they cashed in on the Everquest fad and made World of Warcraft, a game designed to attract casuals and milk them dry of their money.

Diablo 4 is the same thing, only with milking taken even futher beyond.

I remember back in Infantry Online days the chat was full with people saying the word homosexual this and gay that.
Then WoW came and it was like it was frowned on.

But then I just remembered we used to use the word get skillz nub too. But the term skillz didn't mean MMO skill. Now actual skill like dark souls is frowned upon by the faceberg casual babies.

Why the frick should I be forced to be always online when I dont care about online and wont play with other homies? I can actually play Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Diablo 2 or Torchlight perfectly fine on my laptop if I'm somewhere with no internet or the wifi at my house goes out, but I don't actually own any "always online" games because I lose access to them the moment I lose internet connection
