The evolution has drastically better abilities and most likely a better stat distribution so it won’t matter just like 99% of the garbage people will think will be good with Eviolite.

Saying Duraludon was good in SWSH's first few series is basically the same logic as a Smogongay saying it's good in NU.
It's shit because of its awful SpD and AV incapacitating it's ability to use Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave and Screens properly. Now Imagine Evolite while investing on SpD while being able to run the moves listed above.

Even with Eviolite, the evo has better abilities. It replaces Light/Heavy Metal with Stamina and Sturdy.
Assuming it keeps Stalwart as an HA, Archaludon will just be better overall

It's actually good. People just consider it a shitmon because it didn't last that long into the SWSH meta and it has garbage abilities. But giving it Eviolite will give it quite a bit more bulk that it can abuse alongside that monster SpAtt. It will definitely find a new niche, especially in Doubles where it can abuse Stalwart + Protect or whatever IDK I don't play competitive that much. But it learns both Screens, Metal Burst, Stealth Rocks and other annoying shit so yeah, it'll become a staple again. They've been trying to shill this thing hard since Gen 8 began so I'm not surprised they're trying everything they can to make it see regular play
Duraludon was good in the regionaldex format in VGC, it just didn't have the stats to compete with the nationaldex. Its ability is great, though, so giving it an evolution could make it a new VGC staple.
Duraludon has already 535 BST, how much are they going to boost it? I cannot see it reaching more than 580. It could even be just a redistribution. I'm betting that

Honestly to make it viable they would have to minmax the shit out of it bc stamina is a decent ability but gimmicky alone. Both VGC and OU would require massive changes for it to be good
