The Kunzite spell is good, but you don't see it much because it's mainly in Test Case 2 which is by far the least popular deck. Test Case 3 is the one that's being used there, and it has both an automatic mana regen spell and an automatic draw spell, along with that it has strong pressure with the fire cubes, the delayed cube and the two volleys. It's not bad for mixups either seeing as it has the teleport so you can do something like this. Case 1 is good too, but I think Case 2 ends up feeling a bit weak despite having some good spells in there.

Yeah, it crosses up. You can also combo off of uncharged Dust with him if the opponent is blocking the slow cube so that's another thing that makes that deck strong.

I played a lot of #R and AC like 15 years ago before you zoomers even knew what was a fighting game let a lone GG existed and every time I watch some webm from Strive it looks like a slowed down parody of those games. I do admit the last fighter that I really sunk tons of hours was BlazBlue CT/CS, but even those were more in line with GG's spirit than the last couple of games.

CP1.0 pre kokonoe was the best patch on the series. Only Hakumen, Taokaka and Litchi were top tier and even then they eerent hyper oppressive top tiers and had clear faults. I went to EVO last year and the ad breaks and pauses between matches were fricking insanely long. They already suck when you watch it online, but in-person they're especially bad. It also made me fully realize how bad they are with schedules and how fricking awful it is for everyone traveling into the country to participate. That shit will go until 12 or 1 AM PST for grand finals, I totally get why someone wouldn't be playing at their best because of that shit.
At least SF6 and mahvel will be cool to watch, but shit guys, I really don't recommend ever going to EVO in person.

Killer Instinct suddenly getting a 10 year exhibition tournament is odd because Evo's part owned by Sony now and while it had a few years at Evo and some memorable moments. It was never super popular, was dropped from the lineup after 2016 and Combo Breaker became its major instead. That's why there's an eyebrow raised at them doing an exhibition for a game that only had three Evos and never had that much of an audience. Something KI related must be up if Evo is doing something for a game that never really had a huge audience.
Running ads would at least make sense, but most years it seems like they take 30 minutes between finals matches and 20 of it is just James Chen or whoever else babbling to himself. The amount of dead air is crazy.

I wouldn't miss BB's spritework honestly, it's nice to have French Bread there as the last bastion of spritework, but I've never found ArcSys' spritework to be that good outside of P4U, and you can really see the difference between the old and new characters in Blazblue. Blazblue going to 3D graphics still wouldn't be great because of how much the roster would be cut down, but just judging the visuals, I imagine it would turn out better for being 3D.

The Kunzite spell is good, but you don't see it much because it's mainly in Test Case 2 which is by far the least popular deck. Test Case 3 is the one that's being used there, and it has both an automatic mana regen spell and an automatic draw spell, along with that it has strong pressure with the fire cubes, the delayed cube and the two volleys. It's not bad for mixups either seeing as it has the teleport so you can do something like this. Case 1 is good too, but I think Case 2 ends up feeling a bit weak despite having some good spells in there.

I played a lot of #R and AC like 15 years ago before you zoomers even knew what was a fighting game let a lone GG existed and every time I watch some webm from Strive it looks like a slowed down parody of those games. I do admit the last fighter that I really sunk tons of hours was BlazBlue CT/CS, but even those were more in line with GG's spirit than the last couple of games.

If we have to stretch it as far as we can, CSEX was somewhat balanced, with S tiers like rachel, nu and makoto mostly being suppressed for their transgressions, and even then i'd not risk to take it seriously.
CP1.0 pre kokonoe was the best patch on the series. Only Hakumen, Taokaka and Litchi were top tier and even then they eerent hyper oppressive top tiers and had clear faults. I went to EVO last year and the ad breaks and pauses between matches were fricking insanely long. They already suck when you watch it online, but in-person they're especially bad. It also made me fully realize how bad they are with schedules and how fricking awful it is for everyone traveling into the country to participate. That shit will go until 12 or 1 AM PST for grand finals, I totally get why someone wouldn't be playing at their best because of that shit.
At least SF6 and mahvel will be cool to watch, but shit guys, I really don't recommend ever going to EVO in person.

Killer Instinct suddenly getting a 10 year exhibition tournament is odd because Evo's part owned by Sony now and while it had a few years at Evo and some memorable moments. It was never super popular, was dropped from the lineup after 2016 and Combo Breaker became its major instead. That's why there's an eyebrow raised at them doing an exhibition for a game that only had three Evos and never had that much of an audience. Something KI related must be up if Evo is doing something for a game that never really had a huge audience.

I wouldn't miss BB's spritework honestly, it's nice to have French Bread there as the last bastion of spritework, but I've never found ArcSys' spritework to be that good outside of P4U, and you can really see the difference between the old and new characters in Blazblue. Blazblue going to 3D graphics still wouldn't be great because of how much the roster would be cut down, but just judging the visuals, I imagine it would turn out better for being 3D.
ASW sprites always looked like shit, yeah, but they were famous back then for being incredibly high def for sprites.
