Will we ever get rdr3? What settings would be the most fun period to play? 1700-1800s as a goucho or a 1920s cowboy? What about something like cowboys and aliens where it is sort of neo western and futuristic maybe into the 2100s? Or did cyberpunk ruin that kind of setting
Supposing the sequel-prequel is the trend, then they'll go back to the 1880s or so, the gan in its heyday.
1880s would be sick
1900s was woke tho you had the beginning of weimar communism and suffragettes
Well considering RDR2 was filled with modern wokism I'd say sometime around present day with a fake date and cowboy coat of paint
>Dan Houser gone
>Lazlo gone
Absolutely no hope for any of Rockstar's future singleplayer games. It's clear that they just want to make live service shit like GTAO now, and I can guarantee RDR2 Online's failure because it couldn't be monetized like GTAO has kicked GTA6's development into turbo drive.
Didnt they make a new studio or retire? I have zero hope for rdr3 and vi but its still fun to shitpost
My hopes: no relation to the characters of rdr1 or 2.
My expectations: you play as Arthur’s dad or some shit.
You'll play as one of the Callendar brothers, and Arthur will take the role John had in 2; a side character that you play in the epilogue
Oh god fricking shoot me now. John was ruined so hard in 2 that I try to forget it exists. The idea to make it a prequel was so fricking shit and the execution was even worse.

About 1/10th of the game was actually cowboy and indians shit rest was dogshit coof feels muh camp my group shit. Poor Arthur got character assassinated hard alright poor john and son too
I thought Rockstar considers RDR2 a commercial failure?
The Online was a commercial failure. It was basically abandoned. All the shit they learned from GTAO wasn't applied to RDR2O, and on launch it was even grindier than release day GTAO. Then you just have the reality of how you can't sell slightly shiny revolvers and different colored horses like you can RPGs, hover bikes and jets.
RDO actually became far less grindier than GTAO after the beta. The premium currency is so easy to earn that no one buys it, causing the game to fail. Rockstar realized halfway through and tried to course-correct it by nerfing the grind, but by then it was too late. Every long-time player already has thousands of premium gold bars in a game where only 30 is enough for end-game unlocks.
Was that cowboy character with the red eye from the CP2077 trailer even in the game?
texas rangers clearing out the indians and mexicans
Houser is goner so probably not, take 2 just wants GTA online
Frick
So no more gta kino? End of an era rip rockstar/dma 1998-2018
frick RDR
let's get prostitute of the Orient
Im still waiting for agent as well rip anything like that ever again. Best case we might get got long gone
Set RDR 3 after the events of Red Dead Revolver, playing as Red Harlowe before he joins the Van der Linde gang as Uncle.
RDR2 is the perfect case of how Rockstar unironically needs to scale back their games. Fricking hated how the contextual controls changed wildly every five minutes. You stop playing for a week and none of it comes back naturally to you, it has to be brute forced back into your brain.
>Game can't decide if LT or RT is what draws your weapon
FRICK
OFF
Its a rare case of a game thats overproduced.
Yeah no excuses
after GTA VI we'll get RDR3 and it'll be set in Mexico with Jack
The game takes place in 2020s Florida.
You play as a midget with no arms and you stab tourists with your feet.
