The whole "Battles take forever" thing isn't really even true. The Orre games take away with a lot of the excess text pop-ups and battles have a much better flow because of it.
A critical hit!/it's supereffective!/Buffeted by sandstorm etc. all popup WHILE the animation is playing. Something GF still hasn't bothered to implement like 20 years later.

Spin offs in general seems of the table for Masters.
they don't have any Rangers or Pokken characters in it, even though those would make perfect sense to have as synch pair.
I think part of it is because copyright/licensing is weird in Japan. Like yeah, TPC owns everything pokemon, but certain aspects of things belong to the original creators rather than the brand. This leads to weird things, for example sure TPC owns mewtwo's design and name as a species of pokemon, but they don't have the right to freely use the specific mewtwo as written in the first movie hence why it's been a completely different one in everything newer besides the direct sequel and the 3d remake. They'd have to basically negotiate licensing any spin-off characters with the studios/production companies that created them and since spin-offs are already less popular than main series or the anime it's not worth the resources to do so.
this is certainly a reason but also there is the fact that Masters is a third party, so probably their license is only limited to the mainline games published by GF (Satoshi being there was probably a TPC's mandate to promote the series finale)
I suppose there would be less problems if the game was made by Creatures or GF itself, because iirc Bandai once said that everything that happens in a spin-off has to be approved by TPC and the producer of Pokken specified that even though Shadow Mewtwo was made by their designers they had to ask permession to make it and they'll have to ask permession if they want to use it again, so probably something changed with how the rights are located within the company.

Just play the game. If you want to go back to Orre, just play Colosseum or XD. Same for any region. You don't have to only play the most recent games like some FOMO battered housewife
