I’ve tried mobile games that try and be ports of real games before and it’s always fricking atrocious. The controls are barely theoretically viable, but in reality unusable garbage.
If phones become powerful enough to run games, then either phone cases that contain an entire controller surrounding the phone will have to become mandatory. Or games as a medium die because they will be made to be playable with a touch screen. Meaning only super basic inputs.

The whole point of this "experiment" is to sell a game that should be running on pc/console at full price as a phone app. If the performances are comparable to the console ones I can see more devs preferring mobile over consoles in the future. Assuming the iPhone 15 pro manages to not melt down and assuming the rest of the industry can catch up to it
