Can I just say I'm really excited for this game. I have some concerns but overall I think it's gonna be gr8.
I think the ship building has a lot of potential, but I hope the outposts have good natural feeling clutter, so that if I. have 6 people (naked women) living there, it actually feels lived in. In fallout 4 I couldn't be bothered to put down a thousand little items of clutter to make it feel like an actual settlement.

Main thing you need to consider with that is that this is from an E3 presentation. Everything shown at E3 is less about showcasing the games and more about wowing shareholders and investors. What's shown in the presentation is in absolutely no way an accurate representation of the final product.
Honestly I think it's less that Todd's a liar and more overly ambitious which leads to a lot of his ideas going unfulfilled. He's basically one of those idea guys who pop up around this board insisting devs should do shit like have npcs make buildings in real time following a realistic construction process.
Could that mountain range be responsible for the weird looking cloud formation? That would be really neat if elevation had an influence on the weather model.

it's literally a cutscene that plays when you confirm your landing zone. the landing and takeoff cutscenes looked the same across planets
