I haven't found a driver for newer LAN drivers so USB or PCIe is your best choice.

windows 11 has so many bugs that its just not functional as windows 7 or even 10.

You have to constantly restart to fix bugs that freeze your files or crashes from loading image/video icons, lots of odd hang ups that crash your PC

windows 11 was also lead by a poojeet and israelite prostitute. It explains why nothing works and all their efforts are going to stupid shit desktop users don't even want or need. Lots of useful features were also removed like thumbnail icons over simplified garbage especially hiding context menu features with another context menu that requires you to regedit to fix.

        They truly fricked it

        not mine but it's possible.
        have seen 14th gen intel.
all you need is LAN, AUDIO and NVMe drivers.
Audio is easy, just use USB audio for zero headches. If you have 13th gen Intel or newer, unless you can track down a new modified driver, PCIe is your best bet.

What does that have to do with anything? You need Icaros for windows 7 also. Then mkvtoolnix to add the covers to the files because scene groups never updated standards.

I've never heard about this before. I just choose high performance power plan and I don't get input lag in my games. Wanna elaborate?

I dunno about 7 but you can turn off telemetry and other privacy-risking settings with Group Policy Editor and O&O Shutup 10 for W10

IoT LTSC is the only option for people who want to keep using the same hardware until 2032, but without security vulnerabilities
A lot of low end mid 10s computers can still be used

Again, the point of IoT LTSC is that you don't get feature updates breaking your system and get security updates until 2032 (as opposed to 2025 for normal editions)
LTSC is made for devices that depend on updates never breaking stuff, like medical devices, etc

You literally can't turn off all the telemetry in 10. Not even in ltsc. Some of it is baked into the OS itself.
With older windows versions off meant off or you just uninstall telemetry updates.

These things started in Windows 8 and are present in Windows 10 no matter what you do.
I don't care that much for telemetry, I use Windows 7 for performance and latency.

I've worked in IT for 25 years. If anything the win10 kernel is faster than win 7. You are just wrong. All of the control panels you use are still in 10 and its probably easier to turn of the garbage in than 7. There is no equivalent in 7 to the ransomware protection either. You're not in the kewl gang, you are just a moron.

Linux was worse than Windows 10 from my testing. Granted I'm no expert but everyone says "Linux is good out of the box". Could be the games themselves. Could be that I'm using NVIDIA as well but AMD doesn't offer me the things I need on Windows 7.

CS:GO would stutter each time a new chunk of the map loaded in. This was in 2022 and is considered a "native" game. Was installed on an SSD + 32GB RAM, the system wasn't the issue.
Even just standing still, the fps was only 2/3rds of what even Windows 10 was.
Everything was stock, happened on both Linux Mint and Pop_OS (both recommended by people here).

Every time Linux is mentioned, he spams his autism about supposedly not being able to turn off mouse acceleration, even though you can do it with xinput and several distros expose the option in a mouse settings GUI. When confronted with these facts, he claims that these things don't really disable mouse acceleration, because the acceleration profile which disables acceleration is called "flat" and he thinks that sounds like something else, but it's not. He has been proven wrong multiple times so at this point I think he has given up on trying to debate it and just wants to spam.

Same with Linux, it's far more popular than you think but due to our philosophy with computing we would rather pirate games for free unless it's multiplayer.

I'm not him so I don't care if you "win" your little debate, but whenever I use the command line on Linux Mint, it's always for something I could do without it (editing text files when I could use xed, installing programs when I could use Software Manager), or for some custom automation shit that I wouldn't know how to do on Windows without writing my own Python script or something (because I never learned Powershell), or for fun.
Actually, I do use one command line thing with no GUI, for changing my mouse LEDs. I would have preferred just to buy a mouse without rainbow lights if I could find any, but someone decided a mouse with 5+ buttons must have rainbow lights.

When two computer programs interact with each other (for instance your operating system OS and a video game) you need a format for them to communicate, this is called an API. APIs are added to over time allowing them to interact in new ways. Windows 7 stopped receiving API updates so newer programs no longer work. This is an API extender for Window 7, allowing some newer programs (and games) to work on Windows 7.

Look, I understand anyone not wanting to switch to 8, 10 or 11.
Microsoft has taken a piss on its users.

Then why not switch to a Linux distro? I did so in 2015 after Microsoft making clear with 10, that they had completely lost it. (I installed and used each 8 and 10 for a while at the time.)
I don't feel like complaining about my personal computing experience in the last 10 years.
I have to deal with Windows in my day-to-day job and when doing helpline for family and friends, and I don't understand how anyone could still use that shit on his own volition. It's total madness.

If you're going to use a compatibility layer, you might as well switch to linux. This is a completely nonsensical run around.
