the original Arcanine is fine, what i don't like is lazy rehash forms like regional variants that GameFreak keeps making because they are lazy and they would rather make nostalgia bait designs rather than brand new ones

Regular Arcanine plays like Incineroar, but it's a strictly inferior version.

It's irrelevant independently from who uses the move.
If a Pokemon offers great value to a team using it and building around its weaknesses is always worthwile. Urshifu has plenty of threats to worry about too.
He's objectively better than Regular Arcanine in the true meta though, it was just VGChuds that are obsessed with unkillable mons staying on the field the entire match that thought it was gonna be bad
Arcanine is my all time favourite pokemon. I am a casual but regardless I am happy his other form is also good in competitive. If I lived in pokemon world 2 pokemon that I would certanly have are Arcanine and Hisuian arcanine.

The problems lies in the fact that Game Freak kept fricktardingly giving almost every single Rock type Pokemon the asinine cookie-cutter stats of "high Defense, low Speed, low Special Defense, average HP, high Attack) except for a select few like Tyranitar and dusk form Lycanroc. Naturally this will lead to "buff Rock" because of unfortunate Pokemon like Aggron and Aurorus, slow Pokemon with two double weaknesses. This also brings another problem: if Game Freak focuses on more offenseively-oriented Rock type Pokemon, what about the slower Pokemon like the two I mentioned?
Being able to Tera helps it out a lot too. Fire and Rock are both very good offensive types, but when combined, make for one of the worse defensive typing. Being able to Tera Grass or Normal (for extreme speed) patches that up nicely.
Sharty brigade and wojak spam incoming because you mentioned both Terrestialization and a type combo being bad for slow Pokemon on the same post.
