With New Threat, NinoStyle models, and the 60 fps mod, I'd argue a modded game from 1997 is the best FF7 experience you can have.

The Jessie Ninostyle mod for New Threat is super frickable, makes me wish she was a full party member
What I like about New Threat is the people behind it are so bad at hiding that they're shilling it here. All you have to do is say one thing bad about it and you are guaranteed a meltdown that is far too angry to come from some rando who tried a mod.
You sound schizophrenic.
Why do you feel the need to shit on someone’s hard work? If you don’t like the game, then just ignore the fricking thread. People like you are the worst
People worked hard on Forespoken. You wouldn't dream of badmouthing it would you?
Damn you were right
Anything less than 100% praise and they can't help letting the mask slip, it's very funny.
damn you were not joking
Does 60fps still make the enemies move and die too fast?
im still waiting for 2.1, is it even coming out?
Really? Give me a link. I wouldn't mind playing it that way.
Just install the game as normal, grab the 7th heaven mod manager and pick from the list of mods.
None of it. It's all one-click-install from a neat list.
So how much of this shit is forever locked on someone's patreon..?
How about some pictures of what you're talking about. I don't know what any of this stuff is, and the website doesn't have any pictures either.
New Threat is a difficulty mod, which adds tons of new content, new side quests that were dropped and a bunch of balancing fixes. It's not one of those "grind for 8 hours before every boss" difficulty mods either, it's pretty fair.
NinoStyle character models attempt to make the in-game models look more like the original concept art, thus making them look far more detailed and closer to the original vision (pic related).
60 fps mod makes the game run at 60 fps instead of the default 20.
This guy uses a bunch of these mods but it shows off the 60 fps pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asTsxJeSyaU
>using non-chibi field models
There are chibi field models in the same style as well
Wow, that looks great. Thanks.
Too bad I don't understand how to use mods and I would probably download a virus and break my new computer.
No problem Anon. I'm not only here to tell everyone how good New Threat is, I'm also here to show you how easy it is to install and where to get it. Their site also has a donate button.
Is there a youtube video of how to download and install? I don't use the Tor stuff because I don't know how to use that safely either. I spent months learning about how to build my PC and what parts I should buy so I'm nervous about using shit that isn't steam. I've spent more time figuring out and diagnosing problems with windows 11 and other software I have, that introducing new potential problems to my system isn't something I want to do. I saw someone say those fitgirl repacks have bitcoin mining viruses in the code so that was enough for a "nope, no thanks" from me.
>Not the chibi models outside of battle
>Replaced sound effects
>Added unnecessary voice sound effect at hit
I'll stick with FF7 + Duckstation + Fast Forward button.
>New Threat
based
>NinoStyle
these only look good in battle screens so I skip this
>60fps
sure why not
New Threat is the only thing you really need honestly but I wouldn't recc that to a first time FF7 player. New Threat is at it's best when you already have an indepth knowledge of FF7's systems and what everything does, especially if you play it on Arrange difficulty
I gave my little brother NT and he managed it alright enough. I don't know what difficulty he played on though, but it seemed overcomable even for someone who hasn't played it before.
Of course he has tons of JRPG experience so maybe he's just a natural.
felt too much like every bossy had only 1 way you could beat them and it was just a guessing game until you found the spell or status effect or whatever they were weak against. i finally got bored around the sewer boss.
>60 fps mod
The only good mod for FFVII.
Ninostyle sucks what's the good mod for the SD models
The best FF7 experience is playing it on original hardware on a CRT tv, homosexual zoomer.
>NinoStyle models
forced soul
Please give me attention
20 people replied to your thread OP, you should be happy
I recently played New Threat on the Type B story and I fricking despise what they've done so far
>No collapse of Sector 7
>No climb to Shinra Tower
>Dumbed down the Motorcycle Chase
>Meme lines dispersed between the dialogue
any way to re-play ff7 with arranged versions of the music?
I liked the older version of the mod that had more content. After going through all the optional side stuff I felt like it was missing some kind of new bonkers endgame secret though.
>haven't played FF7 in a decade
>install New Threat
>pick route B
>it sucks
regret
Why is the obsession with "muh 1:1 remake"? Just play the original if you like it that much
nobody mentioned the r*make you moronic shill
insane that they STILL pay you to be this ineffective, when does you contract run out?
>"these mods? Aint a remake"
But it aint the og game either, is it?
