I can see Skarmory actually getting an evo. I know people doubt it because it´s already strong, but the bsts isn´t that high compared to a lot of mons and it needs something for the spotlight since it gets overshadowed by Corviknight. Also a new evo is a lot more hype and marketable than a baby form for it.

Yeah, stone evos are out of the question. It seems like there's always been a hard line where if you use a stone, that's it, it's final.
But then there's shit like split evos with stones or Pokemon like Porygon who evolve twice using hold items, which wasn't something people thought was expected back in the Gen 4 days. Never say never. The idea of having something like Lilligant suddenly turn into a Grass/Fire type with a Fire Stone seems kind of cool. If they can retcon the newer Eevees to just be stone evos now they can do it again
It's probably to emphasize that Porygon is a "fake" Pokemon made through science instead something naturally occurring. It's evolutions are basically putting software into a computer to "update" them.
I dont think it needs an evolution, but a gen 6 farfetch'd level stat change and/or an ability rework
It's hard to say what is a real cross-gen evolution and what is a regional evolution anymore. Kingambit, Annihilape, Farigarif, and Dundunsparce could all disappear by the Gen X core games despite Paniward/Bisharp, Mankey/Primeape, Girafarig, and Dunsparce respectively all potentially being included within the native Dex. It already happened to Ursaluna and Kleavor. Transfer-exclusive Pokemon despite their prevos being present in the SV Paldea Pokedex.
Unless you're saying that regardless of "what" form these evolutions take on, the point is that older Pokemon are receiving some sort of new evolution.

We unironically don’t know that for certain yet, considering those two are datamined to be in the DLC regional dex, so they may just have their evo methods temporarily scrubbed until then as there’s no real way to even get their evo items in SV yet. Fwiw they also are programmed to learn moves UPON evolution in SV, which they aren’t in PLA, and they aren’t labeled “Hisuian” in the tcg like actual regional evos, so time will tell.
Magnezone and Probopass were “regional evos” for a bit too, following their debut.

I can see Parasect, Dodrio, Dewgong, Seaking, and Hypno receive new evolutions, based purely off their less than 500 bst.
For instance, perhaps Parasect evolves into a terrifying city of mushrooms, riding a colossal crab into battle, while Hypno grows a beard and literally sucks the dreams out of kids and baby pokemon alike, truly leaning into the predator aspect it skirted before.
Dewgong grows into a manatee of ice and sea foam, docile yet dangerous alike, and Seaking grows vile growths under its eyes, becoming the epitome of goldfish breeding horrors.
Dodrio grows 2 more heads. Dopento.

I think regional forms would probably be more likely for the Dewgong line. Dodrio's hard to think of anything because it's already got a lot going on.

It's definitely one of those mons you can tell they secretly adore. It gets more attention than a lot of Gen 5 mons for sure. Though personally I think it's kind of ok as it is. I'd rather it just get some updated moves or a regional to be honest. It's usable and feels "complete" thematically. Where do you go next without completely adding in new shit or changing it to things that don't quite make sense?
If I was in ccharge to give 9 Pokémon from every Generation a new evolution, I would choose these. Kecleon is probably not that unusual for an evolution.

I really wish they'd bring back Megas in some form so that we could get a lot of them back. Mons like Mega Banette and Mega Mawile were really fun and made for great "sorta" evos. I'd even be ok with them sort of reintroducing Megas and Gmax as some new gimmick so that we can finally have access to those mons without all the extra baggage. Not being able to legitimately use even a watered down GMax Butterfree or Mega Aggron just seems like such a waste of potential. With power creep who gives a frick if I want to run Mega Kanghaskhan anymore?
Anything with a BST under or around 500 that could arguably still have its theme/design pushed further. Also has to be something that doesn't already have a Mega, can't be a stone evolution (allegedly), didn't get a regional (which is just another way of "revisiting" the design), and preferably it would be an "underrated" mon as well. My personal picks based on what I want and what I think "qualifies"

All of these lines to me feel like they could use the attention, a little stat boost, and have the potential for further exploring their concepts. Compare that to things which I actually think don't qualify, like Pangoro or Ninetales who feel thematically "complete." Something like Pangoro shows the full transition from ruffian to delinquent, where else is there to go but "just gets bigger"? But Heliolisk from the same Generation has a lot of potential to further explore the frilled lizard/solar cell design, whether that's through a new evo, a Paradox or whatever where it can have a fresher look and even get a type change or tweak to its "flavor." Annihilape further expanded on the lore of Primeape being so angry it could die and subtly does things like break the manacles or tap into the "rageful spirit" business, and in retrospect you can kind of see why or where they got the ideas for the new evos from. So I think you can sort of get into the headspace of knowing which ones are more likely than others.

It would be weird with the regional not getting anything and the original getting the Evo, which is the inverse of shit like Obstagoon/Mr. Rime. I'd love to see it tho. It could be something really out there, like a pangolin Kaiju similar to Anguirus but with the Sandslash elements intact. Make it Ground/Fighting and give it Sand Rush, Bulletproof and Sharpness with a buttload of cutting moves and a respectable buff to HP and Speed (since Att and Def are very usable already)
there's one i've seen in fakemon threads that i really like where the evolution has both the armor from sandshrew and the quills from sandslash
