I dont really have a problem with her. As I haven't played the retail game in quite some time. Really the last thing I wanted from wow was already given to me in playable goblins during cata. This lady isn't in the faction I played as anyway as humans (besides kad'gar) are pretty boring in the setting. And it was really hard to care about them after King Varian Wrynn died in legion. He had this cool story about being two dudes in one body and he had this sword that could split into two etc. Overall really likeable guy cause he wasn't afraid of fighting the Horde at a moments notice. W/e he's gone now and I assume Jaina is at this point as well I have no idea so they can do whatever they want with the humans characters they've already peaked.
I think what most people don't get is that the variety to the races in wow was always a big selling point in playing the game. Humans are just one race in the game with a long history in the world. It's clear that the op character is an attempt for them to make more memorable characters because they have nearly run out of legacy characters to use. Her design being more of a attention seeking design than a genuinely creative character concept for the setting. We've had one armed characters, we've had one eyed characters, we've had dark skinned characters, we've had female faction leaders, shield users etc etc. If she had come out during the game's prime her character design would actually look a lot cooler because she would actually seem like a fresh concept. But she's a modern wow character and the last time a modern wow character was compelling was gaarosh.
