Got my first double invasion when I needed it the most.
https://streamable.com/3h45zb
Was getting ganked hard.
I've said it before, but invasions in this look pretty fun when they're not a laggy mess.
I need to hurry up and finish my own build so I can invade too.
why wait?
Finally finished NG, don't know if I have the fortitude to go through NG+...
Same, I don't care enough to play through NG+
First 3 chapters are very easy, then there's the usual Lu Bu wall.
I'm not sure If i'm going to continue after that, as far as I'm concerned if I beat Lu Bu in NG+, I beat NG+.
Same, I like the gameplay but the morale system is kinda shit.
>kinda shit
Fucking atrocious, that's what it is.
>punishes bad player by making the game difficult
>punishes good player by making the game easy
>punishes players who doesn't want to explore by making bosses next to impossible to beat with low morale
>prevents wizards from accessing a good chunk of their tools early on in the stage
>basically says "Fuck you" to speedrunning
>makes replaying a fucking chore
I want the head of the one who thought of the morale system on a fucking pike.
All they would need to do is make Flags carry over into NG+
So your first playthrough, you explore the whole map. You see everything there is to see and you "experience the game the way the developers meant for you to experience it". After that though, all flags are "FOUND" you don't have to find them again. That's it.
That's all they'd have to do.
>can't finish with less flags for better loot
retard
Shit system.
that's just referring to champions innit? bosses drop what they drop regardless. gotten plenty of full +4 sets with 25 morale from bosses.
They took that shit out.
bad player by making the game difficult
good player by making the game easy
That's literally the souls system
yeah i'm going back to other games, game was fun but ng+ with the flags can fuck off
I just beat Lu Bu number 2 in NG+ and I think I'm done with it for now. The graces drop rate have been abysmal and what 5 stars I do get are accessories.
graces aren't good, someone already did the maths
online missions when? can we all band together and complain about that now?
Predictions for free update?
What free update???
Let me pick my fucking Martial Arts and use the Storehouse at Flags
I'm at this wrecked river town, the level design is atrocious. Someone was proud of making this stage because it has worn out its welcome.
How is the level design atrocious? Your repetitive internet opinion is rather tiresome. Try explaining yourself for once. If you're talking about the raining stage with the boats, I assume you're just a retard.
What he mean is: "I got lost, and there was no arrow to guide me, so it's bad".
Creating bridges with tiny boats that just so happen to drift into the perfect spot is dumb as fuck.

Axe invasions if anyone gives a shit about that crap. They're just the ones from the last thread and the last time I'll post them. Gonna go play Bleak Faith.
the first one is great
went from 'OH FUCK I'M DYING' to get back here bitch in only a couple seconds
Yeah, I panicked hard in that one.
No, but only because I have no idea how to do it.
Cool video dude. I watched your last one too.
Good shit man. Tried the pvp duel arena yet?
Where is the duel arena in wo long?
I recognize which battlefield this is. I thought it ended the moment you beat those two guys?
Or do you actually have to touch the flag? I just planted it instantly on NG and NG+.
If you sit and wait outside, you an invader will be summoned instead of the 3 guys you fight. You can repeat the mission as much as you want.
It's the battle realm mission. You can choose to invade there from the menu.
>If you sit and wait outside, you an invader will be summoned instead of the 3 guys you fight. You can repeat the mission as much as you want
Huh.
Is this explained anywhere or is it just an easter egg? Does the mission text mention it?
I LOVE MY CUTE SORCERER WIFE
made for steppechad Dong
Useless bitch keeps dying
redpill me on rigged loot rng and repeating the same stage
>Just beat Lu Bu
>Amazing fight
>Excited to keep playing
>Get to section where the dragon spams lighting at you
Literally the worst section I've ever played in ANY video game. Genuinly terrible.
Whoever designed that section should head out to Aokigahara, finsd the tallest tree in the forest and hang himself from the top of it.
>babys first run away from constant hazard experience
so cute
Dude what
Literally just walk/run through the section normally and if you're fucked then just parry the lightning
You know what REALLY shits the bed after the Lu Bu fight? None of the other bosses are half as decent and complete pushovers
Zhang Liao was good and there's no way you honestly think Liu Bei was a complete pushover.
Zhang Liao yes, but Liu Bei wasn't that hard at all.
Maybe on NG+ where he'll deal more damage he'll be way more annoying.
liu bei is just fancier 2nd zhang guy, the lightning circles are free parrys
First, you protected from it by roofs
Second, people kill dragon without problems. I only know how to do that with water magic though
Third, just use poison to protect yourself, it's actually good example how elements rock/paper/scissors work before lui bei cancer
just parry it bro
>Fight enemy
>See ligthing
>Deflect it
>Game targets dragon since I deflected his attack
>Camera starts spinning
>Enemy kils me
Great design.
You can sit under the doorway before the flag and hit him safely. Just use poison knives.
Load up on all the arrows you can
>regular
>crossbow
>repeating crossbow
You should have money to upgrade all of them. Get to the tower in that area in the corner, you’ll be protected. Then just belt feed everything you have at it. If it isn’t enough, hurl weak magic at it until it fucks off. Then you’re free to get surprise killed by some demon general roaming the area. Or in your case, probably a porcupine.
Just cheese that section with poison pools, you're immune to the dragon's lightning when you stand in them
>If you parry someone with the hammer/axe MA they can just parry the actual attack itself
WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT THEN
Finished my build, so I'm ready for when the dlc eventually comes out. I had fun.
Same here, anon. I went with a generic set instead of the graces, as well as some mixed other stuff using the mitigation item. The graces seemed really shit.
Yeah graces are crap, I ended up settling on a build that procs every buff and debuff while dealing decent spirit damage. It's glass but still fun.
Is it a type of tea?
Why is team ninja so obsessed with giant monsters? The human bosses are always the best ones.
>dude it's like so big and epic woah
>THIS WILL TOTALLY BE FUN TO FIGHT
Because they want to imitate Fromsoftware, even though they lack the skills and knowledge to make those varied bosses actually work and fit a combo based combat system.
They wanted it so much they threw skills out of the window and it was still bad
>Because they want to imitate Fromsoftware, even though they lack the skills and knowledge to make those varied bosses actually work
Those bosses still suck ass in the Fromsoft games... not sure what you're implying there
He's either baiting or has severe brainrot. The only interesting thing fromsoft does with their bosses is having some of them change their actions based on how the player moved or reacted but you could easily argue that that is the definition of artificial difficulty
>Boss does big swing down into a forward thrust
>Player decides to dodge to the side of the boss to avoid it
>Boss reads your input then decides to do a swing that hits your side
That's literally the only thing unique fromsoft does with they're bosses. The fucked thing is that fromsoft will put more effort into designing a cool boss moveset than they will for the players own moveset. Literally the same fucking player moveset since DeS but with weaponarts and jumping yet they will give bosses these long elaborate combos and chains and give them all these movement abilities
The level of interaction and depth is way beyond any equivalent
>Bosses with carefully balanced posture values depending on size and moveset
>Different eapons make the boss react different depending on said posture value
>Even with parry and guard nothing in the actual fight is just a cinematic without control or an instance where you are supposed to do the [COUNTER-THING]
>Pary not being universal makes you choose what attacks logically can be parried
>Guard counter makes you selectively choose the best attacks to guard
No they don't
I'm getting filtered right when I thought I was getting good. Maybe I was just too drunk and tilted last night. Fuck.
I don't feel like I can actually play tanky, it's pretty lame. At least not with hammer with it's slow as fuck swings
Working fine for me.
Reminder if you want to BM in PvP to spam the clap or whistle emoji's since they make sound
Post and rate characters
Unironically looks like a chud
Figure Types 1.5 = literal chud.
Looks like a former man
>former man
You mean "former figure type 1".
>making a non chink in a chink game
My brain prevents me from making anything but an East Asian in Nioh 2 and Wo Long, it just feels wrong having some euro or nog there.
>Enters your path
That's not a made character.
I know about William-kun, I just meant for customizable MCs!
William is history accurate so it's okay
William ironically enough has less personality than Hide despite the fucker having actual dialogue lines
And no, Hide ain't mute, there's several times where the npc heavily imply your character can speak, it's just not worth having 300 different people doing the same lines over and over
Kek I use the same set combination too feMC has a godly ass with those hotpants
Looks like one of those fuckboi anime villains who drink wine and smell roses
Nice, I have a screencap from the same cutscene.
What are your pronouns?
Mayoneaise/toast
Forma de la creatura
I also want to try making Nyotengu but I can't get the face shape and eye shape right
change that mole into a black spade.
that would go against the source material
since when did nyotengu look like that and not like this?
oh that's what you meant.
still not doing it
I wasn't that anon, why are you calling that character nyotengu?/
I'm not
are you retarded?
are you?
>anon says post characters
>I post a picture of my character
>I then explain in the post that I *****ALSO***** want to try making Nyotengu but can't get it right
I ask again: are you retarded?
You can't call me retarded over your vagueness and inability to convey your thoughts.
Actually I can because it's pretty clear to anyone with at least a 5th grade reading level what I was saying.
Only now that you've elaborated, off the post alone it's very unclear.
>Only now that you've elaborated
yeah by using nearly the exact same wording of my original post.
You don't know how to write. You exaggerating also didn't clarify anything either. You should have said I just got done making such and such character, I also want to make Nyotengu but can't get it right.
>I just got done making such and such character
but that would be a lie, as that character has been made many days ago.
Anon just admit you didn't read the word "also" the first time and be done with it.
it should have been obvious to anybody that knows both characters that it clearly was not Nyotengu, you didn't think there was a reason for that?
I read it, it seemed like you meant, this was my failed attempt, also
not my fault.
get a fucking room gays
>still can't find any cool light armor
just use your hobo armor bro
it's strangely large on my character. I may have made the head too small? either way I was really hoping for something along the lines of pic rel, but no luck
>I may have made the head too small?
Nope. -10 head size is mandatory for all characters because the default head size is too fucking big, it's fucking anime proportions.
maybe zhang fei armor or huang gai, you also can try zhang liang armor or big wrestler armor, there's also another hobo armor later
The pvp would be absolutely god tier with a few tweaks. Disable martial art parry in pvp, make it harder to deflect normal attacks and lengthen the revival animation. It's surprising how good it is already.
Nah, just use fast martial arts or martial arts that can be delayed.
>gameplay from high level players/fastest kills so far is just deflect and light attacks into spirit attacks over and over
sad
just deflect the spirit attacks, what's the problem here? and no "high level" play is abusing spells
>meanwhile gameplay from fastest kills in souls is r1 with a rapier
Hey I can do it too
there needs to be a better accolades sink than just emotes and bad lootboxes...
There probably will be transmog for you to throw your accolades at in one of the DLCs.
>try out pvp
>whoever plays more passive wins
neat
you spirit attacks to fuck up their timing
why would I risk attacking ever when I can just wait for them to fuck up first?
No, you need to pressure people to win. Use spells and status effects.
What were they thinking with the boss after Lu Bu. You go from an epic showdown to fighting an almost literal piece of shit.
>Threads already dead
>PVP already dead
>Hype already dead
>all that hype about the game
>ends up one of the worst additions
>Morale?! world tendency is BACK!
We were innocent, naive and pure back then
The irony is that Elden Ring integrated jumps far better into gameplay than Wo Long and made them an actual offensive and defensive option
You're a fucking retard. You can't use jumps to get behind nearly every enemy in the game in ER and jumps make ER super easy because the jump attacks do so much damage and gain stun enemies so easily.
>You can't use jumps to get behind nearly every enemy in the game in ER
You can, like with Alecto
Not that you need to since running is more effective
>and jumps make ER super easy because the jump attacks do so much damage and gain stun enemies so easily.
So you are a shitposter that didn't play it
You can hop on enemies in Wo Long which lets you get behind them most of the time. You can't do this in ER without specific setups or enemies.
>So you are a shitposter that didn't play it
I beat the game without leveling vigor and practically no armor.
>This isn't Elden Ring release anymore
if they patched it to be weaker then lol. it doesn't matter though I still beat the game before they ever touched that.
>webm
And that's still a better horse fight than Lu Bu
>I beat the game before the patch so it's le shit
Ok
>le meta buffed naked build
Literally less OP and dumb than Nioh meta builds, but what's tragic is that you need to completely redesign Wo Long to make jump not worthless trash because of the spirit system, which is the point of the meme: Wo Long somehow made jumping, a new feature, not overtuned or undertuned but fucking pointless and not required
You're trying too hard.
>Needs to farm double greathammer for an early boss
>Still gets hit
No i'm using the erd tree hammer and the troll hammer that has fire on it
You literally trade almost all your stamina for an heavy attack which is weaker than actual heavy attacks for large weapons and slightly stronger than normal attacks. This isn't Elden Ring release anymore
Yeah jumping really amounted to nothing huh. I guess to get to higher places and do a stealth attack but thats pretty much it.
>It's more like Sekiro if Sekiro didn't have just a parry gimmick
>Wo Long has literally just a parry gimmick
>can fairly easily juggle two opponents around
I just play with the pommel sabre because it has the highest evade chance
Okay, serious question
What does final bonus do?
use the details button you mong. you'll need 70 earth in any case.
what's the best mission to farm gear? Can you get luck only on the helmet?
Posted by another anon:
Second stone statue in the tomb after the miniboss in Part 6 Mission 1
The second statue (not the first one for some reason) ALWAYS drops 1-3 pieces of gear on every kill. Just stack luck and kill it over and over. Use lightning damage to speed things up.
Forgot to save the webm but you run from the big banner to the statue, kill it, run back, rest, repeat.
Nice, thanks, but you can only get luck on the helmet, right? It's not like in nioh where you can inheritable stats?
You can embed luck on everything besides melee weapons, shirts and pants. You grab entertainers shirt and pants for that, there's is a sub mission where the full set is a reward.
Yeah i'm putting my pvp tank build on hold, this sucks. fire spells are so much more fun to use.
You can be a fire tank already. Get enough earth to wield a heavy set, get like 50 wood, get 99 fire.
What's the point. I just want to go up to people and facetank and win but it's not as interesting and the game mechanics discourage because lol just parry. Fire just has a lot more fun spells to mess around with
Was Nioh just a fluke? We've been getting nothing but shit since then.
Every game TN has made is great except for DoA shit and OG NG3
Original nioh devs worked on ronin for the 6 years
others games were from intern
What about Nioh 2? because while I do like Wo Long, it's not nearly as polished as that game.
interns
you can smell the amateur hour from nioh 2 as well, the gameplay devs were just top class.
Nioh 2 was still interns, they just happened to be working off of a solid base (but still made it worse than the first game)
I think they improved it on all aspects.
Most people seem to think the same way.
But I guess making something new was to much for them.
Really? Where'd you find that out? Just went back and briefly glanced at the credits for both Wo Long and the first Nioh and I saw a lot of the same names.
A lot of different names too to be sure, but they were quite far apart.wvr
Too lazy to search proper link
First result from google from key words
https://80.lv/articles/team-ninja-s-rise-of-the-ronin-has-been-in-development-for-seven-years/
not really
It's the usual cope
People said the same when SoP sucked even though it sucks considerably less than Wo Long. Team Ninja tried to implement back and forth combat and couldn't
Nioh 1 was directed primarily by yasuda, with nioh 2 he became the producer and director and there's literally a documentary about the game.
idk why shitposters make shit up to validate their opinions.
What is the single heaviest set in the game?
Lu Bu's
I swear I'm getting these guardian spirits a second time? Like I got the tiger from Sun Jian but I was already using the tiger. Does it make them stronger?
I guess but it's really gay. They should have dropped spirits all together if they were just going to half ass them this way.
They got one more bonus to their bonus list. It's pretty gay tbh.
Why? Because I know gaming terminology? Fuck off zoomer, I've only ever played smash casually with friends because putting any more effort into it than that ruins the concept.
Where the fuck is the modding community
All I've got left is farming equipment I don't really want or trying invasions. Is the PvP somehow decent or do I switch to Bleak Faith?
every pvp map is the lu bu stage or the water one right after jesus christ I just want to fight people who are a closer level to me and further into the game.
You can choose where you want to invade by turning it on the online settings.
I know....
my point is that those are the two that show up the most and rarely others
Ah okay. I wish there was a filter by area option in the search menu.
What is the soft cap for the phases? 40? 60?
both
you can literally just check it yourself by going to the respect thing and seeing when you start getting less benefit
Hong Jing my beloved...
>openly states that she has no one in life but (you)
>Lu Bu asks to take care of her
She is so pretty!
How is hammer and hundred sabers for an earth weapon combo? SUper fast but weak hits and slow but hits like a truck are nice. You can keep most humanoid enemies completely stun locked with the sabers and the hammer just trucks everything else.
Other good weapons to look at? Been looking at spears but a lot of the move sets just arent jiving with me.
Sabers are meh, but there are earth scaling dual swords. Those are insane, especially if you get a charged thrust martial art + backflip
Hammer is great, especially with impregnable keep
What do those letters that randomly pop up mean? I thought maybe it happened when you triggered burn or chill etc but it'll just popup randomly???
It's when you counter and element. Every element can be countered by another and when it does it makes a special sound and pops up those characters
Ahh ok thanks
Will my save files from a cracked version of Wo Long still work if I decide to buy the full game later on?
Really wanna try out the PvP but it's not worth 60 bucks if the rest of the game is trash
I don't think there's a way to transfer saves
I don't see why it wouldn't work.
I managed to transfer saves from the pirated MS Store version to the pirated steam version to get the updates.
All you need to do is edit a single line in a hex editor.
You can always refund if it doesn't work.
i don't think the game is worth 60$ anyway.
>All you need to do is edit a single line in a hex editor.
What line?
What's that?
>launch steam version and start new game
>after loading into first mission you can quit
>open save file that was created in the steam save folder
>select pic related and copy paste it into the pirated save
>replace the steam version save with your old save
there's a cheat table for that
Zhang Liang filtered me
>gank squad mission on rising dragon difficulty
fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you
Those three Wu geezers raped me in that mission. Help
I wonder what he's dreaming about
Hong Jing
After learning the secret technique that is jump attack, I'm suddenly having so much fun with axe. It makes a lot of big monster bosses a lot less shit.
It's called the ER tech
Most of the jump attacks suck, some are really long ranged like hammer and staff/spears
How do you stat allocate in this game?
I've been treating it a bit like Nioh in just getting a bit in everything.
pump earth, wood, and your magic stat of choice if you wanna use magic
Look at your weapon and put the highest one in there, although around 10-12 points in other virtues for spells can't hurt.
For example metal up to 10 points gives decent spirit retention per level and then drops off sharply.
your fit weapon to your stats not the other way around (since all weapons are effectively the same)
neither really matter so both work.
>nioh
>just getting a bit in everything.
retard
Well yeah. At least in Nioh 2 I had like 20 in each stat before really pupming the rest into my main.
In Wo long I have 8 in fire for the buff spell.
12 in metal for posion weapon.
6 in wood and earth for no real reason and 20 in water for dual sword.
It comes down to two things really
>What weapon do you want to use?
>What spells do you want to use?
Rest of it doesn't matter unless you're trying to minmax/specialize.
In both games you should just pump everything in single stat(in nioh until diminishing returns hit, in wo long until 99)
Wood is nioh's heart, increases your hp and generally shitter stat only gay would level
Earth let's you dodge without wasting spirit, and has hyperarmor spell for trading hits
Fire is best stat because it increases your spirit gain from your main source of gaining spirit, melee attacks
Water lets you roleplay as ninja, and has utterly broken spells
Metal is meh otherwise, but great as second stat to level because it decreases spells cost and let you hold blue spirit for longer(it more helpful than it sounds), also toxic is best status because it passively fucks up enemy spirit
>In both games you should just pump everything in single stat(in nioh until diminishing returns hit, in wo long until 99)
Wo Long has diminishing returns too, you know? It is something like up to 30 is 50% of the stats total effect, then the remaining 69 stat points together equal the other 50%. For example, 25-30 Metal equals -20% Wizardry cost while 99 Metal equals -39% Wizardry cost.
It is probably much more effective to level all stats up to at least 20 for the average player in Wo Long unless you're going for a specialized meme build specifically.
I feel like a lot of the secondary stat bonuses are either miniscule or hyper situational and giving up weapon damage + spell damage is a rough trade. For example, unless you're scaling off water, stealth just makes the easiest parts of the game slightly easier and slightly less deflect cost is pretty garbage. I spam the fuck out of spells and metal's spell cost reduction is still extremely iffy because blowing my spirit out in 4 spells vs 3 isn't going to matter when I don't have the time to cast more before fatal striking to get spirit back anyway, and spirit stability is pretty much a joke in how little extra time it gives you to keep high spirit. Earth's deflect spirit gain bonus won't be very noticeable because you basically either deflect one hit and get almost nothing extra, deflect a bunch of little hits and max your spirit no matter what, or deflect a red attack and get massive spirit no matter what. Everyone is going to run whatever minimum Earth is needed for their armor weight. Fire is generally pretty good, but a build that wants it is going to want it maxed anyway, and even on my build with no fire I can still chain 2-3 light attacks into a max spirit weapon art over and over. Wood is probably the only stat that seems valuable enough for someone to pump without using it for damage scaling, and it's mostly due to just how ridiculous some of its buffs are coupled with extra health.
Another factor is that spells are actually really strong, and even at max diminishing returns their damage scaling is probably the strongest return in the game point for point. Going from 60 to 99 in a stat is a 50% boost to spell power. If that stat is also on your weapon, it's probably a +10% weapon damage bonus. Giving up both of those combined to get 20 in two other stats for some minor cost reduction or fluff is usually not worthwhile. Getting minimum stats for specific spells could be worthwhile in niche scenarios.
Treating it like Nioh works fine, weapon scaling doesn't make much difference until your weapons are upgraded and while it's different compared to Nioh in that they actually can help later on, there's a wide variety of choices anyway and that should be your first decision. Otherwise you want to focus on the spells you're most interested in, and then simply look at what the stats do, they all only do a few things so it's very simple to navigate.
>have no problems whatsoever for the first couple of levels
>having a good time, game is pretty fun
>get to the burning city level
>fps tanks to single digits making it literally unplayable
guess I'll wait for an update
It only drops when the dragon spam lightning
Can't be the reason. I spammed ice spells at it and it flew away, the frame drops happen in a later section
there was an update already and it didn't help
Speaking for myself, I had constant annoying crashes prepatch, but good framerate for the most part. Post patch I haven't crashed yet but performance tanks during some fights/locations that never did before.
oh that's true, I also stopped crashing as frequently (still have a couple times during invasions though)
but I still get stutters on a bunch of levels so seems like the performance is still scuffed for me
It helped marginally. I no longer have to deal with the screen randomly turning white every 5 minutes or so.
The fuck is up with the deflect timing on Lu Bu? His flaming down smash seems to have no fucking parry timing whereas his non flaming attacks are piss easy to deflect.
The only thing that's hard to counter is the running grab attack.
The flame smash is about the same as the horse smash. You need to wait for the last second.
Oh shit what, he has a grab attack? Is it the one where he drags his spear behind him? Somehow never got hit by that one.
I honestly had a harder time with Dong Zhuo than Lu Bu cus I felt Dong mixed up his strings more than Lu Bu, I think I even killed Lu Bu faster when I beat him than Dong. Both very fun fights though.
What? That is so easy to deflect. The running attack I have NO idea how to deflect though. I just sidestepped it instead.
What do we think about tiger 3 morons on ng+?
Did they change anything in the fight?
All three of them get 5 moral level and eyes grow red now, one of the most marvelous abd kino fight in the game and I can't wait to fight them again on ng++, ng+++ and the depth
Haven't gotten there yet but I guess just spamming earth spikes like I did in NG is gonna work too
Absolutely kino. I beat them without wizardry and abusing the little platform.
Holy fuck, I just did it, pure parry and counter, took me 2 hrs. These fucking morons fall back and become passive when half hp while another morons take the charge, make it much harder to take down Huang Gai first. But I did it, A agility parry window is ridiculous
Yeah you need to run circles, keep them in your screen while deflecting.
It is fun.
Worse shit is after parrying you can only hit one (1) follow up light attack, they will dodge the follow up heavy attack, so essentially I'm just waiting for their red to counter. Using sun jian weapon with A agility, parry become non issue but the problem is too little window to do dmg. We can expect a 1v3 against peach brothers in the DLC because that's a classic
i had a good laugh when i tried to fatal stab after a counter only to get rekt by a red attack from another guy
The existence of that mission gives me hope for Team Ninja.
>wild hearts
>wo long
>second best fatal frame
KT really took shitton of my money in less than 30 days
what's the first best?
remake of 2
Well thank goodness I never buy games that don't have male and female but only "body types".
you're really still in these threads
That doesn't mean I will buy games that only have "body types".
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1758600134?t=5h22m35s
He makes a very good point here
He's so fucking bad, I'm surprised he even made it there
He literally gets his views and money from finishing hard games like elden ring, if he says boss is artificial difficulty and would be easy without gimmick lighting, it must be a true
He failed so hard at elden ring that he had to take a break from streaming, then someone gave him a broken build and he finished the game with that lol
>WOOOOOOOW NOTHING I COULD DO I GOT STUNLOCKED
pls can somebody tells him that 'learning the boss patterns' doesn't mean 'staying still and do nothing'?
If he says he's bad at parrying how the fuck did he get past lu bu anyway.
Guess all that sperging out was for absolutely nothing and he just made himself look like a moron for no reason.
>you only have 20 morale while boss is for 60lvls
Okay, I chuckled
>dodge -> attack, attack attack
wow so much for deep and visceral combat
Are stream chats incapable of forming their own opinion? Genuine question. I hate how they always seem to mindlessly agree with whatever the streamer says.
>DSP using summons
>Still get's destroyed
He's always been stupid. But in this game he seems even worse than before.
>Rush into large chicken
>Aggro nearby enemies
>He doesn't see them despite them having a stealth detection bar filling up
>He doesn't see them despite them standing literally right next to him and ATTACKING HIM!
>Eventually die
>WTF THE ENEMY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE
>Runs back to chicken
>Rush in without looking out for the enemy that kiled him previously
>Repeat previous scenario
>WHAT CAN I DO WHEN THE ENEMY COMES FROM OFF SCREEN AND KILLS ME!?
>Repeat a THIRDE TIME
>Somehoe mange to kill the bird while 2 enemies are attacking him without him even realizing they are there.
>Enemy does big red attack and kills him
>WTF WHERE DID HE COME FROM!
How is he still alive?
remember DSP beat isshin in 3 tries
his endless deaths were actually a boon here since Isshin is just the ultimate final test if you played the game straight with no tricks, and DSP isn't clever enough for tricks.
To be fair, Isshin is kind of easy.
Fighitng him made me realize just how bad Ganker is at video games. Because they tried hyping him up as the most difficult boss ever when he was mid tier at best.
Honestly you will be better off without watching his nioh 2 walkthrough, holy shit that was bad
Any highlights you can point a fellow Gankertard to? DSP getting rekt is peak entertainment
Asmon took a big fucking shit on your dogshit chud they/them pronouns game and his chat laughed at the game too. Team Ninja chuds will always be seen as the joke fanbase of Ganker. Fuck this dogshit budgetbin Sekiro ripoff.
trying too hard.
Uhh bro Elden Ring also had body type 1 and 2 and asmongo loved it though?
You weren't supposed to point that out
Got bored by the cow demon boss, it's just hit deflect the game.
>got rekt by the cow demon boss
fixed
How could anyone get rekt by it, you can stunlock it immediately between the Tit Cows lightning and your own wizardy.
>wizardy
you didn't beat the game
I've only used buffing spells.
How are damage spells compared to for example Nioh 2 Ninjutsu?
>Uses a part of the game
>Didn't beat the game
Go back to your FromShit
Team Ninja chuds harrass streamers that dare to call out the shitty game designs in their dogshit games. No wonder nobody likes this they/them pronouns game. Just look at the comment box of Asmon's video about the game, just non stop team ninja chuds dilating their axewounds because someone dared not to like the game.
See
did you pick type a or type b in elden ring?
> someone invaded me
> guan yu killed him while i was looting chest
unparalleled mighty azure dragon
I love the goofy AI companions. They'll stand there and watch me get my ass pounded into the dirt for hours but they'll also sometimes beeline to murder one random asshole that grazed me with an arrow from across the map.
Is co op still not working or can I finally buy the fucking game now
I really didn't get the game, it played like a stripped down version of Nioh 2 and I was really surprised it was made by the same people.
Why on earth would you make the same type of game but with less depth? It's not even a DLC thing. I went back to Nioh 2 after playing Wo Long until the bamboo forest area
It's something the interns can work on for some extra income at a minimum expense while the real staff works on their next passion project.
Because Nioh 2 is too complicated for the average person.
Because it allows them to try out a new combat system and experiment.
Because it's still more complicated and difficult than most ARPGs that come out.
>it played like a stripped down version of Nioh 2
Because Team Ninja can't fit combos into the Souls bosses they want to do. They want to make Souls-likes thus they need to make Souls-like combat.
RotR will have Nioh combat
(you)
He is right
See
You are a worthless retard.
Nioh skills literally don't fit Wo Long gameplay. The bosses are too hectic and have less recovery
Wo Long was literally marketed on the premise of a more dynamic combat where player and boss are throwing and countering each others attack and the player constantly reacting to the boss. Hell, Blindfolded boy parrying the player was probably originally intended as a mechanic for many bosses
Because this was just a quick cash grab to keep funding their good shit
The Nioh team is working on the Ronin game
Lot Sent Wo Long Vros?
I intend to buy this game when I get paid on Monday. But are there a lot of people playing it online? My main reason for wanting the game is because I’m a co op fag.
HELLO?
>a-anon the enemy got me...help me...
From the thumbnail i thought it was a cat cut in two
This game really needed more brutal grabs and for some of the grabs to not be red flash attacks.
I like the squeeze grab
Photo mode, enemy off and I just upgrade wood while going frame by frame seeing my character arch her back
Dong Zhuo was probably the best, but his cool giant robe kinda clips into you because Team Ninja. I miss the pile of hands yokai from Nioh, man.
Based yazura enjoyer, pretty fucking brutal grab
I liked the kasha one, seems fitting the titty cat teases you with a lick before running you over
Did they fix the god awful PC performance yet?
Yeah a mysterious guy walked into their office and started coding really fast and fixed the whole thing while everyone was picking their nose. It was crazy.
Fighting this monkey right now. The bosses are fun but the levels leading to them have been a bit of a drag so far. Kinda wish there was more to the combat.
Staves are fun. Love the bonking noise.
BONK is the best part of the game
Be honest. Would you marry a Baishe?
Is Baishe the cute neopet looking Guardian Spirit, or the huge snake lady with multiple snake mouths? If so, yes. Many children and a comfy marriage.
The snake
Baize is the one I was thinking about, the really cute deer thing. For me it's actually Tengshe the snake Guardian Spirit though.
Bro it's a fucking turtle
Tengshe is a large cute snake not a turtle, you are thinking of Xuanwu who is a turtle with a snake tail. Tengshe is based and kills everything for me when it isn't supporting me with buffs.
Cute snake wife > Way of the Warrior > women.
Both.
I would marry you anon
Men can't marry other men anon.
That's pretty gay
Honestly the fishgirl mobs are hotter
I haven't switched off the starting divine beast at all
The rock pillars are so useful
get 8 earth and you can do the same whenever you want
then you can use the "I don't wanna die" guardian spirit that instantly full heals you and your party and leaves a healing spot on the ground for a while
it's not the same
Rate my succubus
He cute
Cute
3/10
How long is the game? Just killed Son Ken
Lu Bu is the middle of it if you ignore side missions
I beat all the non-hard mode missions and found all flags at right around 30 hours, and that was with a good but of idling padding my playtime
Would water or wood be a better complement to earth? Both of these lean towards fast weapons and they have ranged AoE spells, which I want.
Use both if you want to if they seem fun.
tell me why this game isn't shit without using "like X" where X is some other already existent game or property.
How can I recreate my Hide in Wo Long?
Well, first I'd recommend booting up Nioh2, making her bald, and screenshot images from the front, profile, and semi-profile. Then I'd recommend mashing random in Wo Long's character creator until you get something vaguely similar to use as a base. Tweak the character with the screenshots as a reference.
Just copy the sliders and adjust afterwards
Do they use the same sliders?
There's some new ones but they're basically the in the same order as nioh 2 so it's easy to copy. It won't come out looking exactly the same but it's close enough
Alright, thanks.
Copying the sliders over isn't perfect but gives a solid starting point. I did it for mine but was a little too lazy to fix it up more, but it was still good enough.
>Kasha thot
Long time no see
>tfw no cat wife to grab and lick you in wo long
Team ninja peaked with that boss
>no demon hong jing fight
Missed opportunity tbh
>spray poison feces all around me before combat
>throw poison feces at enemy so they run into my shit piles
>
I've invaded a 1v1 dueling arena a few times but how can I host duels there?
How the fuck do I grind 5 star equipment.
Is there a specific mission you guys are doing?
Max out on Luck and bring Yinglong and/or use the Smith's Hammer for Equipment Drop Rate. Apparently there's diminishing returns if you repeat a mission more than once but if you cycle missions you can get around it, and there's a mission in Part 2 where you just have to fight the monkey which is very quick and easy to fit in. Otherwise any other mission with tougher enemies you can kill easily, but trying to make something a grind is the quickest possible way to make it unenjoyable so I would say just do whatever missions you like.
Wo Long, gay Bowser!
Never not funny
I think I'm done for now, hopefully the DLC has more mermaids for me to blow up
Is using the super armor earth skill with a heavy weapon worth it or does it just make you get comboed to death?
no idea anon. I have wood, fire, earth balanced around 40 and use straight swords. that 10k damage was at around 2% hp with the fire extra damage on next wizardry, the wood damage area spell down, both flat and percentage stone damage on all gear and popping boulder knuckle on a mermaid.
In my experience it isn't. Attacking after deflecting is a massive dps boost
Deflecting itself is a massive dps boost
Unga Bunga earth spell just isn't viable or remotely competitive as an actual playstyle
>there are no dual sabres in a set
Feels bad
well? is this the elden ring killer you've all been waiting for? or just another lukewarm attempt by team ninja to capture some of fromsoft's glory?
i simply like team ninja games more
>elden ring killer
No one said this. Stop making shit up.
no one said that such a thing was said by anyone, gay. besides, you're blind if you don't think their games are similar enough to warrant comparison.
Why aren't more people bitching about the terrible loot in ng+? I would be happy to use 4* gear with graces but even they are quite rare. I've done probably 10 hours straight of pure farming for gear and still can't finish a single grace set of any kind. Thats with luck on all possible gear and equipment drop rate A+ from the shitty dragon and accessory stacking. Only way to get any more luck is to use entertainers pieces. All this and I still have fuck all to show for it. Nioh was never this bad and it had ways to speed up the rng grind while also simply throwing more loot at you. And yet so few people are complaining. I actually enjoyed the grind in Nioh but Wo Long is just not doing it for me, I'm actually seething at how bad the loot is.
>Nioh was never this bad
Yes it was. Stop comparing post DLC Niohs to base game Wo Long. Nioh, both of them, were fucking abysmal until at least the third difficulty or second DLC and even then it was still mediocre at best until the last DLC.
Not sure you even played the game at release time because holy hell man, greens in Nioh were NEVER EVER this rare. NG+ was available at release in Nioh just like Wo Long, and grinding for gear was simple and quick thanks to the loot explosions. Otakemaru always dropped a ton of items and was simple and quick to run to. Plus there weren't even any graces at that point in time so armor sets were all you had, super easy to get and there was a guaranteed yasakani. I seriously don't understand how you can think Nioh was this bad in terms of loot. Wo Long is awful for grinding gear in ng+ unless you're happy to sit on oath sets.
I almost wish they didn't even have graces in Wo Long, at least not yet. Save them for the DLC.
the worst part on wo long loot is mission rewards are always 4* that don't roll graces and all the duels drop existing set items which also can't roll graces. there's no easily farmable boss mission other than the monkey with the potential for graces.
>you didn't even play the game
That isn't an argument, and it's not even something you can argue against because even if I told you I started with the Alpha you'd just say I was lying.
The difference between 4* and 5* is essentially nothing and 4*'s can roll Graces too, only hard grind is the graces themselves in Wo Long and only if you don't just want a regular NPC set. Due to the way combat and equipment works it is much easier to get a good set going than it was for the base game niohs where you had a lot of factors to worry about like weapon level and equipment +'s. To get a full grace set is harder in Wo Long for sure, but to get incredibly close to perfect is easy as pie.
You just agreed with what I previously said while also ignoring the entire point just to make yourself sound superior. Take my (you) and fuck off.
You didn't even read my post, you autist. Why even bother trying to have a discussion if you're just going to act like a child?
>not an argument
>you didn't read my post
>child
Right. I already stated exactly what you did and you agreed with what I said to boot, yet I'm the one not reading your post? Why are you even replying to me at all?
As I said before, I'm not purely looking for the best of the best and only that. I would happily use 4* with graces, but I am doing nearly everything I can do improve the loot and getting fuck all for it. Loot in this game just does not drop in any meaningful quantity. If I only wanted a regular set I wouldn't even need to be in ng+, I could just farm in ng or use cups for most of the sets. Graces shouldn't have been added so soon if they really intended them to be so unbelievably rare prior to DLC.
4* don't roll graces. Your cheat engine'd equipment doesn't count.
play the fucking game
4* dropped by enemies can roll graces the 4* mission rewards can't
>4* don't roll graces
yes they do
They do roll graces though. I’m a ps5chad and I was seething when I realised it yesterday because I probably salvaged a ton of them
Nioh 1 and 2 had very bad NG+'s. The loot wasn't good other than new rarirty of gear. At least wo long has graces and enemies get new moves. In Nioh it wasn't until NG+2's with the DLC that they started doing more shit with loot and enemies.
>Why aren't more people bitching about the terrible loot in ng+?
I doubt there's that many people really grinding hard for shit right now, everyone knows whatever is in the game at the moment is going to get powercrept hard by whatever the DLC and higher difficulties have coming. When there's another step up difficulty wise and more graces added along with content I'm sure you'll start seeing a ton of posts if its as bad as you say it is.
Might as well post this here but goddamn I'm looking forward to ROTR's Meiji Era kino
>dual halberds
>short range and slow
What's the point, other than swag?
Pretty sure they hit harder, also they have some ridiculously good Martial Arts. The hooksword spin slash for one is nuts.
they share martial arts with the dual swords and sabers don't they? if the base damage on dual halberd is significantly higher it might be able to shit out fast damage
>What's the point
There is no point, dual halberds are the worst weapons in the game but all of the dual weapons are pretty awful. It's funny listening to people say things like "they're great for applying status" or "they're really fast" like they play the game on autopilot and pay no attention to what's happening on the screen. The dual weapons have the worst status buildup in practical use, they also have the least impactful MAs in the game which have terrible motion values and terrible application. You might think something like Sudden Tornado would be great for status because it hits lots of times quickly, but it's terrible, all of the multi-hit attacks on dual weapons have massively scaled application so you're doing 0.3x the usual buildup per hit. Meanwhile most of the multi-hits on Spears and Halberds do 1x application on every single tap.
As far as I am aware there isn't a single good damage dealing MA on any of the dual weapons.
I play dual swords because they are fun. I don't know, or even care if they are weaker than other weapons.
How? Literally just press the deflect button as he lands.
It's very easy to tell when the right timing is.
Come home, wolongbros
Alright did 1,000 hours. I'm sticking with Wo Long, now.
NioH 2 genuinely pissed me off more than wo long did as a game.
Would love to but I did literally everything and I don't have friends that play this game.
I put this game to rest when I did my depths solo. It’s over.
I'm thinking about it. Finally make an Axe build.
I just can't decide whether I want to start a new save or respec my old character which I completely forgot how to play and will get annihilated if i try.
imagine being a fag and not enjoying both. sucks to be you.
Level 105, finished 4 main missions on NG+, and Im finally testing multiplayer, its janky but fun, invasions can get crazy
Wo long made me wish Nioh had a parry mechanic
Use 1kat
bit gay doe
How do I increase buff duration? I cant keep these buffs up long enough to do anything worthwhile with them.
Put points in wood, though it's not going to help much. Just get used to the short duration, it's not a soul game.
>Just get used to the short duration, it's not a soul game
you better hope you're right, if they add the equivalent of chaos effects for singular wizardries with the current amount of loot we're in for pure hell.
Level up Wood and put it on your gear. But they're short and have high Spirit costs mainly so you have to take risks and use them mid-combat.
I knew this was going to happen from the very beginning but I still find it deliciously ironic that the game where they tried to intentionally cut down on loot management is the only one where management is actually strictly needed and important. You'll still get people constantly claiming otherwise though because they heard someone say it and they heard someone say it and so on.
Having graces already is nice but I haven't seen any enemies have new moves. Nioh 1 WotStr made bosses start with their LW and added Yasakani and Divines which isn't much but it added more to what was already present, while Nioh 2's DotStr despite being terribly balanced due to Divines being much stronger did change all the enemy placements on top of everything else. Still Wo Long doesn't have its DLC yet so there's much more they could add, but it's hard to see what they will add if they want to maintain this illusion of lesser gear management.
>hub music changes halfway through the game
I fucking hate it
>hub music changes halfway through the game
I fucking love it
> no nyotengu wife
eh
Who's the worst boss in the game and why is it Aoye? Hate fighting this bro even when I was at the end of the game.
tiger man and lighting sword man are worse, blind boy is shit but whatevs
Blind boy is the best fight in the game wtf bro
>best fight
>visual puke make half his attacks invisible
>have to rely on sounds to parry properly
What visual puke? Like the only thing I can think of are the suns he casts sometimes but he doesn't attack during that, the rest is pretty easy to see.
They can't handle Yu Ji or Twinkino.
>lighting sword man
I hope you don't mean Zhang Liao because that mother fucker is in my objectively correct Top 3 Bosses
This, Zhang Lio is the most fun boss alongside Lu Bu and WoLong man imo
>WoLong man
you mean blindfold boy right? he's literally the guy whose nickname was wo long.
yea
It's amusing they made a big brain nerd into one of the coolest bosses in the game, even if it's technically not him
dude is full on xianxia flying swords and magic, it's great
slow him, earth and metal both have wizardries to do it. his charge goes slower and covers less distance. zhou yun gives you the earth spirit qilin that evaporates half its hp on the first fight.
Zhan Rang, by far.
Easy, but complete and utter shit. Like, one of the worst bosses I've ever fought.
Taotie, pure shit design
taotie for sure
Technically Taotie but only because it's very easy and they focus purely on the spectacle, which still makes it a fun enough experience. Every boss in the game is great and it's one the strongest factors about it.
>during invasions NPC will follow you into every ambush, triggering every enemy along the way
>enemies follow players to the end of the fucking earth afterwards
i LOVE it
didn't they fix it on pc yet?
There is no fix. This kind of performance is the New Norm. Get a 4090TI.
what's exactly wrong with it? I think my 3060ti can handle it
I can used my switch pro remote
crashes were fixed but performance is still questionable.
Am I fucking myself going all in on one element in the long term? Doing an unga bunga hammer build and have put 20 points in Earth.
It depends on your perspective and what you're after, but the game gives plenty of free incentives and methods to make use of all the different elements so there's no reason not to take advantage of them even if you only level up one stat for some reason. You get Wizardry points for every element regardless of what you level, and these games always promote experimentation and versatility for enjoyment.
>This boss is a giant demon that you can defeat by parrying the red attacks
Why can't they design good nonhumanoid bosses?
i’m so long
What fire spells are good?
None
bursting fireball and that ground fire pillar one. the pillar one is more for big enemies
the one that heavily buffs the next martial art or wizardry cast, fire itself doesn't really have great damage spells
>fire itself doesn't really have great damage spells
Wrong, it deals the most damage out of all the classes except maybe some of the higher end poison spells
on neutral resist enemies it feels pretty meh. there's just a shitload of metal enemies in the game that are weak to fire, also a shitload of wood enemies that are weak to wood. earth is overrated if only because water enemies are so infrequent, I think aoye and joke turtle are the only bosses weak to earth.
wood enemies weak to metal*
Pretty much all of them really.
>Scorch Stream if you build for it, hilarious to use against ambushers
>Flame Pillars are good for big bosses that aren't Aoye
>Bursting Fireball is the best for pure damage
>Scorch Spinner is the best status application and covers every enemy at once
>Buffs are high damage buffs, but kinda unwieldy. Would want to invest a little in their utility.
Martial Art from Lu Bu helbert, it is fun for chasing after spellsissies
>one of the best movesets in the game (running attack into strong attack is a cool multihit drill poke, standard combo can hit several enemies)
>fantastic art (hyperarmor, fire buff plus a TON of fire damage)
Lu Bu's halberd is by far the coolest weapon in the game
I didnt even care, lighting up your weapon by dragging it on the ground is too cool to not use.
That being amazing is a nice bonus.
I don't remember the names so bare with me. I'm also mostly talking from a PvP perspective but these spells are just as good if not better in PvE.
>hand blast
basically you're bread and butter. Does a ton of damage when you build for it (probably higher than you can get with a normal weapon) and has a fat AoE hitbox while being about as fast, maybe a bit slower than a basic attack
>normal fireball that explodes on impact
Fastest projectile you can have. The basic fireball with no explosion is just shit, it has shorter range and does less damage though like half the spirit cost. The tracking on it sucks so you're mainly going to use it to catch people who are running up to you or when you know they're gonna go for heals.
>flame floor
REALLY good for building up flame status effect. It's area denial/damage over time. When you initially use it will also hit multiple times as the flames go across the ground, meaning you can hit enemies up to 4 times knocking them back if used in close range.
>bursting fireball
This one is REALLY good. The damage on it is just absurd. It has massive AoE and requires players to have to parry multiple times to get through it. Only downsides are that it's obviously super slow and costs a lot of spirit. Range is about the same as your other fireballs.
Bursting fireball has one serious downside in pvp - if the player anticipates it, he can parry it several times, getting a full blue bar
But it's a balancing factor for how outrageously good it is.
Guys I just got all the titles
>super passive host turtles together with his butt buddies
>i just slowly roar them to death with lion's roar because that thing does aoe damage in a fuck huge range
Spear and sword are absolutely carrying me. Any other good weapons with a Fire affinitiy, Firebros?
The stat scaling on weapons in this game is so stupid. idk why they want to railroad builds so hard with forcing you to use specific weapons if you want to put more stats into one or two virtues.
I know. In Nioh 2, you could change any weapons' scaling to whatever stat you want but Idk if that was a DLC feature or not.
yeah it was
Nah, it was in vanilla. But as I remember it, you could not really do it until endgame. So you were still railroad into a weapon through your first playthrough.
You could change the scaling, but it would waste a stat slot and you needed to farm for it.
I've found even with how scaling gets higher on upgraded weapons (which I haven't felt the need to do despite being a decent ways into second difficulty) the soft caps for scaling only seem to be at around 30-40ish anyway. Still, scaling being so minuscule as to be non-existent was a big strong point on Nioh and would have fit just as well in this game, but it may not matter as much if the level cap increases.
>if the level cap increases
you mean when, has TN released a game without bumping up the level cap in dlc?
If all of the stats can do all of the things, what would be the point of stats?
Because they can't do all of the things, they offer far more impactful changes than just damage numbers and even if someone can do all of the things stats can emphasize certain things more or less.
What I should be saying here is that there is no more meaningful difference in a build than using a different weapon, but that's not even true in Wo Long because they all play the same so never mind.
okay now that you said know you're wrong and fuck off.
Dual halberds and guding blade.
Lu Bu is owning me with that flaming jump attack : (
That's the easiest to parry. The running grab he does has the weirdest timing out of his attacks.
You have to parry the grab like exactly when he lifts his spear off of the ground from what I’ve noticed. It’s an awkward attack
I wish I could have smooth multiplayer matches
More like So Long to it's good reviews
>pvp is actual as fun as DS1 pvp was
>they will prob scrap it and never implement it again
sucks
Here's a better gif for you, fren
Really? I was just about to post about how the pvp is boring as fuck and there's no counterplay against a defensive player that just baits for parries. You can parry martial arts too like wtf can you do against someone just baiting to parry your spirit meter to the breaking point.
I'm not saying Im struggling in pvp btw, I'm the one abusing the fact that you can't lose as long as you spam deflect
>there's no counterplay against a defensive player that just baits for parries
Status effects
Wide as fuck aoe bullshit like lion's roar.
rock em
Why? The reception of this pvp is very positive thus far. If they keep improving it, it will leave From in the dust.
even though the single player story was solid, I honestly think wo long was created mainly for the pvp and for team ninja to have a go at a multiplayer game while keeping quiet. "if they like it cool if not..."
I think they also wanted to see if traditional parry could be completely ditched in favor of soul shield/deflect
idk. PvP has been ruined for me once you get the good spells. majority of players just don't know a good counter to this but it's a fun enough ability that serves a good utility purpose (aoe) that I don't want to get rid of it...
the mixup between basic and spirit attacks is the main thing but it can be ruined by lag. A non-powered up spirit attack wont' glow and is usually slow enough to catch someone who spams deflect as soon as they see you do something. Then there's spells, which can have variable timing that can punish players not reacting properly or panicking. Spells can also zone players out with pools of elemental shit on the floor that will damage them just for touching it. You can also jump on players heads to stun them if they're spirit is nearly maxed out, if they throw a lot of spells or spam deflect/dodge.
I need to experiment more with jump attacks since I feel like it is probably hard to tell when someone is going to do a jump attack since you can delay it but idk, the hitboxes on them SUCK.
too many loading screens between matches, otherwise i kinda enjoy the chaos
>tfw pirate
I could really go for some co-op right now
For a game so seemingly contentious it sure is getting a lot of threads.
>get summoned for lu bu
>fight the boss with other guy
>notice lu bu rushes the fuck out frequently to the other side of the arena
>turns out summoner is a pussy and is running away
Why are some people such gays?
If you're gonna summon at least join the gank
If they could do it, they wouldn't need to summon to begin with.
I don't know, when I started this kind of games I summoned every now and then and always joined them, feels like shit to have others do absolutely everything for you
Judging by the absolute fucking state of some hosts i'm invading, i'm not surprised. Absolute pussies.
I had a host like that when I got summoned for zhang liao and it was such a shitshow
Rate Five Phases for pvp.
>invade a Chinese player that only has 830 gamerscore
>he has like 2000hp
>only taking 2-4dmg a hit
>beat the everloving shit out of him
>break his spirit meter like two dozen times and crit him constantly
>set him on fire multiple times with my fire bird spirit animal thingy
>after like ten minutes of shitting on him I finally succumb to attrition from all his fucking hp, defense, and healing
Don't know if he was cheating or what but that motherfucker played like shit.
>Don't know if he was cheating
Chinese love to cheat, as long as they win everything's allowed, and their lack of skill in absolutely everything means they absolutely require to cheat
He was cheating. Even with 99 Wood, you can't get that much HP.
You can get close, but only if you have 99 in every single stat. But the current level cap is 150.
Plus, he's Chinese. Just assume all Chinese Cheat. It's what they do. Subhuman bugs.
Am I making a mistake wearing light armor all the time?
defense of heavier armor is like double that of light armor but it also means pretty much everything but spells will cost more spirit. Light armor lets you LITERALLY spam dodge for free. Only the initial dodge costs (minor amount) spirit then the rest are free
>defense of heavier armor is like double that of light armor
do we have any formulas for how defense works?
I think most assume it's identical to Nioh, and from my experience that's somewhat held up. So Defence makes very little noticeable impact unless you start going back to old missions you've been through, but Physical Resistance % (which heavy stuff has much more of) is very significant. Full light gets around 10% while full heavy can get over twice as much.
yeah doesn't seem worth it. tested using the monkey's slap, 357 damage taken with 11 defense and 0% phys res in stats. 245 with the same attack with 686 defense and 23.4% physical res in stats. there's some serious diminishing returns going on.
>30% reduction isn't worth it
wut? That's also not stacked with any other spells that reduce damage too or effects that reduce damage. You can definitely get super fucking tanky
that's the range from nothing equipped besides a 1 def accessory to full heavy armor, gonna slap on a full light set to test next.
Dodge spam is not that strong in this game. You will get fucked on recovery between dodges all the time. I fucked up several light roll dodgers in pvp with fire spells this way.
Full heavy armor + mid roll + lion's roar reduces damage to an absolutely insane degree even in ng+, you can block a ton of hits and with a passive to block elemental damage it won't even chip your block which is crazy.
It lets you reposition yourself without filling up your spirit to max.
You can easily reposition with just a sprint, even in a middle of a boss battle. It also gives you more control over your deflection timings.
Running also doesn't have i-frames. Either way i'm just pointing out that it's funny you can spam dodge. the spirit cost of everything being fairly heavily increased is what puts me off from doing heavier builds without going full tank mode.
How important are player levels in pvp? Would a player that's level 50 do no damage to a player that's 150??? Or does it not really matter???
High level player gets scaled down. I'm not sure if it works the other way around so avoid invading people above your level and just get yourself to the level cap first.
I've killed lvl 100 player the same as any lvl 60 player at lvl 62. Only thing you need watch out for is the high lvl wizardry spells when invading high lvl people.
Wo Long's casting system reminds me about Bloodborne. It's probably Bloodborne's producer influence.
Shame my rig is weak so i can't capture my invasions because they are genuinely as fun as DS1 and BB.
I hope they fix the performance so that you can capture footage. Sounds like you had a fun time.
>Liu Bei drops 8 or more lightning balls at once
>first handful of them delete your elemental protection from countering his Wood Phase
>next ones have to be dodged or deflected in quick succession
>all the while he is still attacking up close constantly or dropping more lightning balls to continue the cycle indefinitely
>defeating all of this doesn't grant you anything, he just does it again immediately
>vast majority of ranged options don't reach that high in the sky so half the fight is just waiting for him to do something near you
I really dislike this fight, still sucks in NG+. The only truly badly designed fight in the game other than Taotie.
Yes, I am a bit mad.
What's with the fucking hate wo longs receiving from normie tubers? Nioh didn't get this much hate, what gives
Normalfags don't want to try at videogames or adapt to different gameplay styles.
streamers and youtubers won't go against the grain on the review consensus, they're whores that need to let advertisers know they play ball.
this. all it takes is one streamer to start the snowball rolling.
Examples of who?
Ass mongol or whatever his name
Looks like a bug eyed hobo
Is mp already dead? I cant get anyone to help with lu bu
weird. I find lobbies instant.
on ps5
Ps5. I waited minutes without any responses
whats the rarest title in the game that I can use?
Assuming that it means without even equipping a weapon at all, Tactful Navigator.
Otherwise Bareback Warrior, Vanquisher of Zhang Rang or whatever the hidden title is at the bottom of the list below Vanquisher of Boy Possessed.
>Assuming that it means without even equipping a weapon at all, Tactful Navigator
it does and it's easy to get. just equip some 0 morale wizardries, go to the flying swallow part 2 side mission, kill the 4 warlocks then kill the 2 morale dude that's the target
Oh, I assumed it was only the main missions because I never read it properly. That's easy then.
>Hidden title is for getting all the no damage titles
Then obviously this. I guarantee 99% of players will never get this, including me.
>I guarantee 99% of players will never get this, including me.
I have faith anon, you'll find some one-shot boss build in dlc 3 to use for it.
Hidden title is for getting all the no damage titles
Taotie was fucking retarded what were they thinking? It's not even a gimmick fight. You just hit him until he falls over, that's not a gimmick. He doesn't even fight back other than stomping every 30 seconds.
He's right after Lu Bu. I guess they wanted to give the player breathing room after that cocksucking gay of a boss fight.
Woah, long thread!
Ha!
A bit late in thread to ask but, has anyone else been getting sever framedrops in cutscenes? Specifically towards the beginning of cutscenes. It'll start out at like 10 fps and then go back to normal after a couple camera cuts. The game itself runs fine otherwise, capped at 60. Playing the cracked version.
new thread when? glad the autistic spammer disappeared after the last thread,
holy shit lion's roar is so retarded
It's surprisingly versatile. In pvp it chips people away. In pve it protects retarded hosts if you're cooping.
How do you get invaded? I have only been invaded by npc's.
The Invader (Player) is supposed to take the place of the NPC. But invaders are incredibly rare, from what I've seen. Even in these threads there's only like two guys invading.
William-Axe Anon posting Streamable videos of his invasions. And the Fire dude.
I prefer firechad or even flamebro.
But yeah. I'm almost finished the game and i've gotten invaded one single time total and I haven't turned companions off if a mission has them, unless i'm replaying it. Majority of the people I invade just have AI companions
I prefer Axe Man, but I'll always prefer someone using big boy weapons. And yeah, a single invasion for me as well. And it was a cheater.
So i have just beaten the big tiger guy. How much of the game is left?
Are Set Bonuses really that good? I have Hong Jing's after wearing heavy armor and feel like glass now.
Read the set and see if it's something you want.
Only if you stack stats with their bonuses or build around them, for the most part they're meh. For example it isn't like Taoist or Hong Jing robes are necessarily better than Warlock Ritual gear, because while it doesn't have a set bonus without graces Warlock stuff also rolls Wizardry Damage + lower spirit costs innately.
This may change with DLC.
