No but the next game will be good and you need to fund it now by buying Wo Long.

why can't I just fund it by buying the next game?

I'm not allowed to buy this game, so piracy it is and honestly speaking, game isn't that good, parry centric gameplay is pretty lame all things considering. Developer need to decide if they go full Sekiro rhythm parry game style or Nioh with occasional parry of super attack, trying to sit on both chair doesn't make for good gameplay.

      Anonymous

It's not parry centric in the way you're trying to frame it, it's just one of the default actions you're supposed to take no different from rolling/iframes or positioning (both of which you still use) that most action games use as their baseline. It's strength is specifically that it's not forced like Sekiro and it's not limited to just a meme for fun like Nioh, it's just the natural flow of the combat that heavily rewards and punishes based on enemy knowledge.

        Anonymous

And that's the issue, gamers don't want complicated combat we want parry only like Sekiro

          >gamers don't want complicated combat
That's entirely your own opinion. And if you think the parrying in Wo Long is complicated you are genuinely moronic and probably struggle with the concept of dodging attacks.

          >we want parry only like Sekiro
          Maybe you do.

          Did DLC3 fix everything?

It fixed every major complaint and most minor ones too. Only thing I'd be wary of is performance on PC potentially not being fixed for you, although if you play Jap games on PC you probably expected that level of quality.

Sekiro is universally regarded as the greatest action game of all time for a reason.

        >It's strength is specifically that it's not forced like Sekiro and it's not limited to just a meme for fun like Nioh
And this is why I think Wo Long parry is in bad spot. Sekiro parry is fun and challenging (it's main mechanic after all), Nioh parry is rare and impactful (it's exist to counter big attacks from bosses) but in Wo Long parry is very strong, yet very easy to master, it trivialize game for no reason. Maybe it's just me but I found Wo Long to be easier compared to other games from TN.

Parry is rarely rare or impactful in Nioh though, it's either just a mechanic for combo purposes like Hammer and Tonfa or it's just a press button on command interaction. It's still fun to learn, but you'd never say it was the main selling point of that game's combat. With Wo Long it extends to the entire game because it functions as just your baseline action (unless you want to just physically dodge for fun) that substitutes for the purposefully simple rolling/positioning that Soulsbornekiro and Nioh rely on. It makes the combat feel more natural and dynamic because you're not just following a predetermined rhythm or reacting to just one big move, you're actively countering every single hit from the boss and as such it feels a lot more rewarding to learn their movesets.
Ofocurse it's all just subjective, my main point is just that it's moronic to single out parrying as being bad because it's too "simplistic" and then give a pass to shit like dodging in Dark Souls and Nioh

            >dodge
            >require light build, consume stamina, doesn't open up boss for counter attack
            >parry
            >just equip heaviest armor possible, you are not rolling anyway, free, open up boss for counter attack
Dodge require more thought put to it than parry, also, Wo Long is my first action game where I play with heavy armor precisely because you are not rolling anyway, it is ridiculous how this heavy armor plus parry trivialize whole game.

              >dodge
              >require light build
This is just wrong for Nioh, there is literally no reason not to be wearing Heavy armour. It's barely true for Soulsborne as well, with many builds just allowing you to do whatever really. Obviously dodging also opens up bosses for counter attacks and Parry consumes Stamina in Wo Long too, so you're just splitting hairs.

              >Dodge require more thought put to it than parry,
This is also untrue. If you are being fair they're either equal or Parry requires more because you've got to press an input for every single hit instead of dodging large amounts at once.

              >it is ridiculous how this heavy armor plus parry trivialize whole game.
Literally no different than any other action game. Replace parry with roll and you just described every single soulsborne game except Sekiro where you just keep parry in instead.

You need light or medium armor in Wo Long to make the Zhurong build do big damage, otherwise the Thousand Miles Journey will take forever to complete.

            >Parry is rarely rare or impactful in Nioh though
Look, I never went past Way of the Demon in Nioh 1, but I always found parry super busted versus human bosses. In fact it was pretty much the only way I'd get through all the double bosses like Oda and Yasuke etc. Things like Water Shadow tanked ki and lead to free kills with Iai spam.

If you dodge in the wrong direction in those games you'll get fricked. Dodge centric games also regularly employ area of effect based damage, sometimes with a lingering effect to force players to gtfo. In Wo Long you parry explosions

No idea, my man, I have almost 1000 hours in total with both games and never ever wore anything but light build, well, I tried but it was painfully slow, not my cup of tea, you know. In Wo Long there is literally no difference.
Anyway, peace. I will keep idea that parry is lame&gay and borderline cheating.

Okay, dude. I definitely don't believe you played Nioh at all. If you actually did you would know that you can, and that everyone did, just wear full heavy armour while using the lightest roll because there was no difference whatsoever besides potentially not dying in one hit.

Assuming Nioh 2, the reason you wouldn't use full heavy armor was because there's plenty of sets that you might want to use that are simply not heavy armor. Or you don't want to invest in the stats to wear certain heavy armors while maintaining decent agility.

you shouldn't level objectively inferior stats over

The final boss of DLC3 really brought everything together. Martial arts were more important than ever and the spirit gauge really shined. I'd say it was comparable to Nioh2 complexity when you consider the self-buffs, elemental attacks, martial arts, parrying, positioning, and regular attacks.
People getting filtered basically don't know there is a block button in the game. I loved every minute of Wo Long, and even though they made it a lot easier, it's still a fun game.
Everyone that gets filtered from the lack of animation-canceling or whatever just can't accept it's a unique game.
Remember there is no such thing as a souls-like, its simply a gaiden-like.
Goodbye my friend, maybe I'll play you again some day.

What this game need is a Nioh 2 tier sequel. DLC3 weapon even has a primitive stance switch with its own gimmicks.
