I don't like them for many reasons, but at least they seem to genuinel lke each other. Two pieces of shit living their best lives together, it's like that episode of Dexter when he captures that couple and before he kills them he asked them how they can love each other but still be murderers, and they say it's because they have the same goals. Love is a crazy thing, I'm happy for them in a weird way.
saw this in the video game store and for about 2 weeks wanted one badly. man am I glad I never bought this shit. the only good games are japanese, even that snk vs capcom game is jap I believe
Bandai, thought gameboy was a one and done. Then after years they panicked and made WonderSwan, it didn't do well and wasn't great. They had the money to keep it rolling most of the games are 1st party and most are somewhere between boring and lame.
Yeah, it has soul. It's not some artisanal minimalist flat product handed down by a company high on their own farts crafted by a designer who wears homosexual turtlenecks
It's a neat looking toy put out by a toy company. It knows exactly what it is and embraces it.
I've never played one but the Wonderswan is clearly soul. The Japanese barrier appears to keep the majority of people away so it's left for people that are actually interested in it to enjoy.
>more powerful 16 bit CPU than the gameboy >one single AA battery for 30 hours of operation >lower price >widely available and easy to use development kit >ambidextrous controls and designed for tate mode.
It was pure soul. If Bandai wasn't so incompetent it'd be the most successful handheld system in history.
>more powerful 16 bit CPU than the gameboy
I would hope so, there's 10 years difference >one single AA battery for 30 hours of operation
on the b&w one >lower price
not at the time >widely available and easy to use development kit
which no one used so is pointless >ambidextrous controls and designed for tate mode.
cool idea, not great in practice
>there's 10 years difference
8 you mean? >on the b&w one
That one's up to 40 hours. >not at the time
Wonderswan B&W was $32 and Color was $46 in Japan while the Gameboy color was $80. >which no one used so is pointless
It's pointless even though it works? >cool idea, not great in practice
Because??
>8 you mean?
no I mean 10
GB released in 89 , WS released in 99 >That one's up to 40 hours.
no >Wonderswan B&W was $32 and Color was $46 in Japan while the Gameboy color was $80.
we were comparing GB, not GBC >It's pointless even though it works?
yes, because no one used it >Because??
separated dpads sucks
cute 😀
Hard to say, Klonoa Moonlight Museum is the only good game on it so semi-soulful.
You only say that just because you want to frick him and so do I
Frick off back to Ganker degenerate.
This was a fun game. God bless the fan translators.
Decent game but holy frick that soundtrack. 5 tracks only, 50 seconds each and they suck balls. Absolutely dreadful OST
In what universe is this handheld soulless
The bulk of its library is Bandaislop made to sell toys.
Its going to be one of the next hipster systems because of the one or two HIDDEN GEMS
>going to
>its a troony
>lands of lore in the back
i cant hate. i wont.
kelsey is a bio woman

The chick owns a retro game shop, the guy's married to someone else.
Is this some sort of short pasta?
The look of that handheld straddles the line between being a beautiful y2k relic and Aliexpress $1 garbage perfectly.

the only games are Japanese. It was exclusively released in Japan.
Why is there some digimon game in the US ROM list?
One of the Digimon games had an English release in hong kong.
At least there are several rom translations if you have a flashcart, or just emulate.
Still images don't illustrate just how bad the screen is in motion, the ghosting and blur would make your old brick DMG blush
Thats why they released the Crystal version upgrade with the improved LCD.

meh. I give it two and a half dpads
fitting in? fitting in less?
What is "embarrassing"
i want one but can't justify the cost with so little in the way of English games
Soulful
Cool looking system
shit games
Cute little system but not exactly the greatest library of games.
Love Dicing Knight though.
>Soulful? or soulless?
Each unit is haunted by the soul of Gunpei Yokoi.
wtf is that control scheme
It's designed to be rotatable.
Man, I really love the way this thing looks. Hopefully I'll get to hold one some time.
It looks like a cheap toy from the 90s
Yeah, it has soul. It's not some artisanal minimalist flat product handed down by a company high on their own farts crafted by a designer who wears homosexual turtlenecks
It's a neat looking toy put out by a toy company. It knows exactly what it is and embraces it.
Guess when I grew up and have nostalgia for?
Only get one if you want to collect it
the games on it are bad
That's why I worded it the way I did. There's basically no chance I'll ever bother to spend money on one.
Honestly if you want an underrated handheld, go for the neo geo pocket
It's like an arcade GBC
I've never played one but the Wonderswan is clearly soul. The Japanese barrier appears to keep the majority of people away so it's left for people that are actually interested in it to enjoy.
AND AFTER ALLLLLLL
YOURE MY WONDERSWANNNNNN

Anything good for this was remade on PSP, don't fall for the memes.
I think you mean GBA
Riviera's the only good WS game and was ported to both.
Funny one piece fighting game
