I think she has a lot of tools but most aren't willing to utilize them. Someone had to point out to me how Chun-Li's anti-air game is choosing between a bunch of normals and tensho kick. That's a lot more options than HEADBUTT or BLANKA BALL or DRAGON PUNCH or FLASH KICK. All those characters have normal anti-airs as well but I think Chun-Li leans more heavily on her own normals.
She has a solid toolset but is too honest, has a mediocre DR, and has no throw loop.

The only reason they ban it during streamed tournaments is almost every tournament player is going to pick it and they don't want people seeing only one stage after making all those other ones. Also training stages have their purpose so saying they shouldn't have made it at all is silly.

Grid maps should not exist for the health of the game, they genuinely handicap streaming numbers, because pros are legit sperglords who don't wanna attract viewers. I like watching good fighting game players stream from various games, but if your game has a padded cell, then that's what I'm forced to watch and I simply refuse now.
Fighting games should renovate themselves into strategy-rpgs, but keep the fighting for when units encounter each other like Chess Kombat
There was this pretty neat rpg series on the GBA called Summon Knights and it was pretty much that. You levelled up your character and forged strong weapons and other typical rpg stuff, and the combat encounters were a 2d fighter style kind of thing.
If you're watching fighting game tournament streams for the backgrounds then you should watch other genres of games instead

You have to rush into his face, if you try to stand back and launch fireballs he has multiple different angles he can hit you from while you do it.
not strange, his pierce comes out instantly vs fireballs that have to travel, he's one of Guile's few bad matchups

Honestly I wish fighting games would abandon the "easy medium hard" shit on characters, it doesn't really do anything besides turn people off of characters. the defining traits are fine, like tricky or zoning but get rid of the difficulty indicator
difficulty seems to be entirely based on "how similar is this character to ryu?" and "do they have an install/negative edge inputs?" the hardest thing to do in the game is to do the right combo at the right time, the combos themselves are almost all easy.

In my experience people in silver are better than gold.
It's mainly Platinum players who use alternate characters and just let them sit at Silver once they finish their placement matches.
