But on the 27th or so we should have reruns of the summer characters and Summer Illumine is good for thunder fever, Belsidia is for thunder enmity. Razelt is good water support. Oh and the banner with Twink should be coming up soon and all the five stars are good in their respective elements. If you need duplicates I would honestly suggest using astral gems if you haven’t gotten them from the co-op bosses shops yet you can get about 2-3 gems a month from that and there’s the star speck shop as well.

So if you like high risk high reward play styles and have the characters and weapons for an enmity team then go for it however we will have the banner with Twink, Quare, and Nevia soon and they’re strong in their respective elements. Then 1.5 anniversary is around the corner. So roll at your own discretion.
What are the red bottles that show up on the field in some battles? They look like the stamina-refilling items, but I can’t tell if they actually restore stamina when you roll over them.
Bottles have different effects. Green restores HP. The yellow orange bottles fill a certain amount of your characters skill gauge. And red gives your team Pierce for a certain amount of time. There might be other kinds but that’s all I know.

Bunny is wind powerflip support. Current wind powerflip is basically all about combo boosts on flip. It still needs another decent healer for high-difficulty content since Marchia alone is not enough, and Bunny is shaping up to fill that role.

If the game detects you haven’t touched the flipper in a while, you can press the message to teleport back to the flipper. Probably some failsafe in case you get stuck somehow on some bumpers or something

Yugiri is extremely important. Junko's also a staple in most permanent content. Lily's also great but she's more of a luxury unit because of how many light units she can be replaced with
you mostly cant wanpan all 3 orbs, you destroy 2 orbs with her then finish the last with DA. you have a short window to pull this off before your float runs out, you can use kohane to finish it off so you can extend your float duration

Ukon is good if you dont have a soul yet, senji if you can mlb it is pretty good. If you dont have a predator soul yet you will want one for TA5, although you need to already have the fire ddrag flamewing bow. The rest arent really worth using on until grief scythe.

Yes, his event is similar to the recent Summer and Oath to the Dawn events, where you get a 4* unit (Summer Marina and Sotieth for those examples) for completing the event.
I recently watched Alice’s episodes, and at one point, she’s talking about adopting a cat, but says there’s a limit on how many “furry-types” are allowed in Starview Village. I wonder if that’s meant to lampshade how few kemono/furry characters there are in the game. Or I could be reading too deep into it.
I’m going to say you’re reading too into it. Alice only says that during a series of excuses to no take with her back to The Village. Honestly the real reason is more or less that human or Kemonomimi characters sell more than anthro/furry ones especially when they fall under the cute girl category. The same can be said with male characters the ones that sell are normally “pretty boys” rather than ones that fall under the Bara category. I mean look at Genshin Impact and how players freak out when a guy has slightly visible abs and call him daddy. They’d probably wouldn’t know what to do if they seen characters from Guilty Gear or Housamo.

team power isnt really a good metric. If you got a decent team with good weapons(at least from necro) you can start with 1 element's godly to obtain the weapons and rotate to the element that's weak to it. I suggest starting with lich because a lobby with 2 ahanabis can just kill him in less than 10 seconds. You can just play hanabi lead to support with a skill chain and fire debuffs/owl/alk. Golem is pretty hard but nowadays SD can make short work of him but I'm not sure if 2 carries is enough.
Neat. I only tried ancient golem godly since fire is the team I'm currently using to progress with and I got carried into unlocking the difficulty by some high ranks.

you can use this, sort by list view then do a search. The discord also has a more fine tuned regex search. Btw 'combatants' means it affects the whole lobby, so other teams get buffed too. Otherwise it'll just buff your team only.
So, what can I replace Esteriel with for the speedrun event? Every single team has her, but she and Vyron are the only 5* I don't have (and coincidentially the ones needed the most). Maybe with ACeltie or Hartlief? Or do I pull for Nevia and use her instead?
Unfortunately, she gates this time attack so you likely won’t be able to get an S+ without her. If you have all the components to build the PF comp and are fine using MB2 material on the units, then you can run that. Otherwise, you can use an SD comp and substitute Owlbert for Esta but it will most likely result in a slower time.

If you're taking about Saki, she is hardly mandatory. She gates Wind PF but Wind PF as an archetype is rarely used in most Wind-favored content. The archetype only saw use in this past TA because Wind PF's route was easier to do than Float SD. However, that also means that you would have had to spent time-gated MB2 resources to put together a Wind PF team just to clear the TA when the components of Float SD are more widely used (so investing in their MB2 is more economical). It would have been foolish to suggest pulling for Saki in their initial banner because there were way better banners coming (second ZLS banner with Junko, the anniversary banners, and the Christmas and New Year banners) and trying to pull for her on the rerun banner is a crapshoot since she shares the boosted rates with three other 5*s and Junko was the best one to aim for.
Besides, most pull guides did not explicitly say she was bad. Most were using patch's guide (pic related) when planning their rolls.
some units have above 100% max cap like orvelle, ahanabi. So some comps allow you to double cast easier by having a higher starting gauge. 120->20->50->100 for example. For ahanabi she also gets a secondary skill effect if you wait until 200% to cast the skill but it isnt really worth it over double casting generally.

I am not sure how good he is right now but he can go into fire power flip teams with marina until you get better units like rolf; i remember him in some old teams but considering all the power creep around the game he probably has some niche uses
Vagner basically boils down to is using power flips often to get stronger mainly with level 3 power flips which he makes easier when as a main unit and his 5th ability maxed he lowers the required combo by 7. This is what I’m using now and it for works for me but I haven’t changed anything since Christmas Bianca so it probably could be updated.

Its not that bad honestly they give you stuff from dupes you already rolled when global gets the update. The mb2 timegate is worse and theres a weapon upgrade timegate now.
Currently there are 14 weapons to enhance two of which are event gated and they add more and more weapons over time.
The bosses are disgustingly strong, 2 runs a day just like mb2, you get 10-12 mats per day and it takes I believe 200 mats for one weapon. Theres another boss you have to beat to finish level 99 enhance and those bosses are even harder to beat. >how much power

It's 10 daily attempts in EX Trials. All of them are insanely difficult on release but by the time they get updated with the material on clear, most of them will have a consistent auto comp(even though you only actually need 2-3 clears total atm) or become far easier to manual with the exception of maybe Golem which is still stupidly unit gated for PF or skill gated if enmity/fever
The current event item exchange lets you buy more weapons than you need to fully awaken them. Is there a point to buying extra weapons once you’ve awakened them to level 5?

In the Wind and Thunder boss fight, sometimes a potion and two crossed swords will pop up in the arena. What do the crossed swords do when you roll over them? Is it just an attack buff?
Iirc they do give you an attack buff. And for future reference the reason they show up is because of Fever gauge being filled completely and depending on the stage different things happen.

Depends on how new you are and how much mana you have have saved. For me, I always get the T4 mats and 3* Astral Gems whenever they show up. Besides that, I might get T3 mats if they are either discounted by either 50% or 90% as you still need T3 mats for your units' MB2, and I would never buy any of the T2 mats or EXP. even if they are discounted by 90%.
By midgame, you're overloaded with mana that you can spend on the discounted stuff and still be in the green, if you don't decide to build like literally everyone you come across.

You need to use 3 different teams to fight three different bosses. After beating a boss, you can't use the characters in that team for the other 2 bosses. Weapons don't have any restrictions so you can use them on multiple teams. You get rewards based on the total score from beating the 3 different bosses. The bosses usually have a designated debuff to make them weaker to certain team comps (powerflip, skill damage, contact damage, etc.) so that even non effective element teams can still get a decent score on them.
Do I have to do it once every day? it seems like theres a distinction between total and best score when checking the rewards but I don't know what's the difference between the two

I’m assuming you mean Belsidia if so then she’s a good leader for Thunder Enmity but she’s even better if you have Beaucy. So if you like high risk high reward play styles and have the characters and weapons for an enmity team then go for it however we will have the banner with Twink, Quare, and Nevia soon and they’re strong in their respective elements. Then 1.5 anniversary is around the corner. So roll at your own discretion.

What are the red bottles that show up on the field in some battles? They look like the stamina-refilling items, but I can’t tell if they actually restore stamina when you roll over them.
Bottles have different effects. Green restores HP. The yellow orange bottles fill a certain amount of your characters skill gauge. And red gives your team Pierce for a certain amount of time. There might be other kinds but that’s all I know.

Bunny is wind powerflip support. Current wind powerflip is basically all about combo boosts on flip. It still needs another decent healer for high-difficulty content since Marchia alone is not enough, and Bunny is shaping up to fill that role.

If the game detects you haven’t touched the flipper in a while, you can press the message to teleport back to the flipper. Probably some failsafe in case you get stuck somehow on some bumpers or something

Ukon is good if you dont have a soul yet, senji if you can mlb it is pretty good. If you dont have a predator soul yet you will want one for TA5, although you need to already have the fire ddrag flamewing bow. The rest arent really worth using on until grief scythe.

I recently watched Alice’s episodes, and at one point, she’s talking about adopting a cat, but says there’s a limit on how many “furry-types” are allowed in Starview Village. I wonder if that’s meant to lampshade how few kemono/furry characters there are in the game. Or I could be reading too deep into it.
I’m going to say you’re reading too into it. Alice only says that during a series of excuses to no take with her back to The Village. Honestly the real reason is more or less that human or Kemonomimi characters sell more than anthro/furry ones especially when they fall under the cute girl category. The same can be said with male characters the ones that sell are normally “pretty boys” rather than ones that fall under the Bara category. I mean look at Genshin Impact and how players freak out when a guy has slightly visible abs and call him daddy. They’d probably wouldn’t know what to do if they seen characters from Guilty Gear or Housamo.

What team power should I be before I should start trying to do advance+/godly coop rooms?
I tried Ancient Golem once and he oneshot me with his explosive fists
team power isnt really a good metric. If you got a decent team with good weapons(at least from necro) you can start with 1 element's godly to obtain the weapons and rotate to the element that's weak to it. I suggest starting with lich because a lobby with 2 ahanabis can just kill him in less than 10 seconds. You can just play hanabi lead to support with a skill chain and fire debuffs/owl/alk. Golem is pretty hard but nowadays SD can make short work of him but I'm not sure if 2 carries is enough.
Neat. I only tried ancient golem godly since fire is the team I'm currently using to progress with and I got carried into unlocking the difficulty by some high ranks.

Unfortunately, she gates this time attack so you likely won’t be able to get an S+ without her. If you have all the components to build the PF comp and are fine using MB2 material on the units, then you can run that. Otherwise, you can use an SD comp and substitute Owlbert for Esta but it will most likely result in a slower time.

If you're taking about Saki, she is hardly mandatory. She gates Wind PF but Wind PF as an archetype is rarely used in most Wind-favored content. The archetype only saw use in this past TA because Wind PF's route was easier to do than Float SD. However, that also means that you would have had to spent time-gated MB2 resources to put together a Wind PF team just to clear the TA when the components of Float SD are more widely used (so investing in their MB2 is more economical). It would have been foolish to suggest pulling for Saki in their initial banner because there were way better banners coming (second ZLS banner with Junko, the anniversary banners, and the Christmas and New Year banners) and trying to pull for her on the rerun banner is a crapshoot since she shares the boosted rates with three other 5*s and Junko was the best one to aim for.
Besides, most pull guides did not explicitly say she was bad. Most were using patch's guide (pic related) when planning their rolls.

some units have above 100% max cap like orvelle, ahanabi. So some comps allow you to double cast easier by having a higher starting gauge. 120->20->50->100 for example. For ahanabi she also gets a secondary skill effect if you wait until 200% to cast the skill but it isnt really worth it over double casting generally.

When you start the game you're not required to choose your own name. The game has a random "generic" name assigned to you and you can just roll with it if you like it.

I am not sure how good he is right now but he can go into fire power flip teams with marina until you get better units like rolf; i remember him in some old teams but considering all the power creep around the game he probably has some niche uses
Vagner basically boils down to is using power flips often to get stronger mainly with level 3 power flips which he makes easier when as a main unit and his 5th ability maxed he lowers the required combo by 7. This is what I’m using now and it for works for me but I haven’t changed anything since Christmas Bianca so it probably could be updated.

Its not that bad honestly they give you stuff from dupes you already rolled when global gets the update. The mb2 timegate is worse and theres a weapon upgrade timegate now.
How bad is the weapon timegate and how much power is locked behind it?
Currently there are 14 weapons to enhance two of which are event gated and they add more and more weapons over time.
The bosses are disgustingly strong, 2 runs a day just like mb2, you get 10-12 mats per day and it takes I believe 200 mats for one weapon. Theres another boss you have to beat to finish level 99 enhance and those bosses are even harder to beat.

I forgot to mention you only get 10 tries without resetting but I forgot if you get a daily, weekly or monthly reset on that.
It's 10 daily attempts in EX Trials. All of them are insanely difficult on release but by the time they get updated with the material on clear, most of them will have a consistent auto comp(even though you only actually need 2-3 clears total atm) or become far easier to manual with the exception of maybe Golem which is still stupidly unit gated for PF or skill gated if enmity/fever
Durandal hasn't been useful even until now in JP. There's never any content where it's the best to slot.

In the Wind and Thunder boss fight, sometimes a potion and two crossed swords will pop up in the arena. What do the crossed swords do when you roll over them? Is it just an attack buff?
Iirc they do give you an attack buff. And for future reference the reason they show up is because of Fever gauge being filled completely and depending on the stage different things happen.

there's no official world flipper server so far. I don't use reddit but the sub-board or whatever plebbitors call it is linked on the server info. I just use it for the guides really. Is it a waste of mana to buy discounted elements at the shop?
Depends on how new you are and how much mana you have have saved. For me, I always get the T4 mats and 3* Astral Gems whenever they show up. Besides that, I might get T3 mats if they are either discounted by either 50% or 90% as you still need T3 mats for your units' MB2, and I would never buy any of the T2 mats or EXP. even if they are discounted by 90%.
By midgame, you're overloaded with mana that you can spend on the discounted stuff and still be in the green, if you don't decide to build like literally everyone you come across.
Man solo boss challenges are such a big spike in difficulty. Do I really need one of those amity scroll weapons before trying it? I only have 7/50

Can someone explain the Haniwa event to a newbie? Do I need 3 different teams and to do 1 of each color boss in order to get rewards?
You need to use 3 different teams to fight three different bosses. After beating a boss, you can't use the characters in that team for the other 2 bosses. Weapons don't have any restrictions so you can use them on multiple teams. You get rewards based on the total score from beating the 3 different bosses. The bosses usually have a designated debuff to make them weaker to certain team comps (powerflip, skill damage, contact damage, etc.) so that even non effective element teams can still get a decent score on them.
Do I have to do it once every day? it seems like theres a distinction between total and best score when checking the rewards but I don't know what's the difference between the two

What are the debuffs? It seems like water is weak to power flip, but I didn’t know that at first, so I chose a non-PF team and now I’m stuck with it.
