It depends on whether such a wound gets infected or not. Also on whether any internal organs have been damaged. Ribs are not that deep unless you're a laradass, but even then there's nothing but skin and fat between them and the outside.
You will never be a wall. You have a womb, you have ovaries, and you have eggs. You are humansexual concrete twisted by magic and evil into a crude mockery of man's perfection.
All the "validation" you get is horrific and bloody. At your front people fight you. Your architect is disgusted and ashamed of you, your "god" laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed realities.
Humans are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of brick-laying have allowed humans to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiently. Even wall-ganias who "pass" look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your door structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you managed to get a drunk guy to walk in you, he'll turn tail and pray the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected, cursed wound.
You will never be happy. You will wrench out a fake smile every morning and tell yourself it's gonna be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression and bricks creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable and unsupported weight.
Eventually it'll be too much to bear - you will tear up, close the clit, say a prayer, and plunge back into the cold abyss. The construction crew will find you, happy and relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They'll ship you to the cops with the label "vegana wall", and every cop for the rest of eternity will know a wall is in evidence. Your bricks will decay and og back to dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is the time the wall looked kinda hot.
This is your fate, this is what you choose. There is no turning back.
NTA but just beat him a moment ago. Not sure if it's only after turn one or after observing, but on turn two I got a contextual option on the left side of the combat options to attack the teacher
I think observing said he was weak to magic which may be another option since physical is out
>didn't realise you could attack the teacher >mind drained the school to death >ended up a 7 reason moron for the rest of my run >somehow still won
Was actually kinda fun.
It plays very similar to the Elder Signs board game.
You click to go to different locations, solving random events there while trying to do 5 mystery quests to unlock the final location where you stop a ritual that summoning the run's specific old god.
Your character has a bunch of ttrpg stats, they can learn spells that cast their sanity, health or decrease the turn limit to use, recruit allies who are passive buffs etc.
Your char sucks at almost every task, so you are forced to memorize events to know exactly what to engage and what to avoid.
If you are thinking that seem as engaging as looking at a walkthrough but with extra steps, you got it right.
>Swimmer girl can shred monstrosities with her bare hands, a decent weapon alone can carry her runs >Yakuza guy transcends to godhood by smoking cigarettes, can use pistol CQC on top >Magic girl can flay people with her mind because she works out at the library >Tiddy monster can form a gang to jump Eldritch monstrosities
The player in WoH is fricking stupidly powerful
>How much content is there
14 playable characters who have their unique level ups and items
7 old gods who act as run modifiers
20 mysterys which are quests with different options.
An endless survival mode.
About 10 challenge runs that create specific scenarios.E.g. Med student Mimi going schizo, or having to play yakuzaman Kiru while staying away from his nicotine addiction for once.
>Hows the combat?
Turn based and very confusing to learn at the start due to the ui.
You get a time bar of 200, moves costing different amounts. The moves time cost AND hit chance in the case of attacks and dodges are dependent on your characters stats and how powerful the enemy is.
Unless it's a quest boss, you can run away and sometimes its wise to do so.
what's the point of baseball girl, her prepare for damage seems ok but that's it
She's a jack of all trades character with solid combat specific perks.
Personally I prefer dex, since being dex with an extra 10% dodge chance makes her very evasive.
She can also reduce a boss enemy's power to 0 once if you prepare at home to collect her baseball.
>Almost all that shit was traced from Japanese album covers
Are there examples? It's hard to imagine how tracing an approximately 30x60 monochrome pixel face could be recognized.
To the shills from the Discord here: let it be known that I pirated the game, and it was shit (just repeat a series of random events over and over until the game ends). You shan't be receiving a cent from me.
Ganker is schizoing out again because we've had a handful of fun threads since yesterday. Obviously play it, there's new mysteries, characters and gods. Tradeoff is that a few characters have new, wonky artwork but for Mizuki (booba idol) you can just click her character select again to get the old art.
To be fair when I encountered them on my last playthrough Haru (Fireaxe, out of cigs since all my mysteries were rolled out of town) they still die pretty fast if your setup isn't bad. The nurses do jumpscare me every time I get them since their damage is ridiculous.
Man, I really like the game but it leans far too heavily on RNG. I never liked roguelikes, and this is the one I tolerated for more than an hour, but I don't get how you're supposed to cope with shit rng, even if you've learned the optimal decisions for the mysteries.
This game is pretty much getting fricked in the ass while memorizing every single encounter and the correct way to complete the mysteries, THEN it becomes about getting good rng ON TOP of doing everything correctly.
Yeah. That's what I really hate about roguelikes. You have to keep playing until you get enough runs with good enough RNG to learn parts of the game, and then after that you're able to cope with worse RNG, but there's still a large chance you'll be outright destroyed by it no matter your memorization. It's stupid for a game that is extremely well made in every other aspect. I'm going back to the GTA: SA driving school so I can get a flavor of "fricked in the ass" that I can actually beat with enough training.
Be a fricking hero? Frick scumbags who don't use turn signals and weave through traffic. You're probably just some paypig cuck who's in more debt than your average zoomer collegecuck, paying off a truck you don't even haul anything in.
I'm literally a truck driver.
I wouldn't do that shit because it's dangerous and the person you're so upset with isn't the only one who can end up in a box because of that. If that happens, you go to jail. It's only worse because he's likely in a company vehicle, which is why the cab's being recorded.
both parties were insufferable but passing on the right is a b***h move
if you don't have space, fall back and get in line, its not that hard to figure out
especially if you don't have the decency to use a turn signal
everyone's trying to get somewhere. its not that hard to wait 5 minutes for traffic (which was clearly moving) to filter through
that being said, again, they're both at fault. defensive driving is key. if either of them had done so, there'd have been no issue but most people on the road are literally never going to yield even when they're supposed to
>GTA: SA driving school so I can get a flavor of "fricked in the ass" that I can actually beat with enough training.
It was plane school on PC for me. GOD I hate SA's mission structure. Tutorial after tutorial after tutorial after another god damn tutorial. It lay the foundations of modern concern in games, but it's a good game.
If I ever replay it, I'm going to use something like https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=12852 on a story-only complete save file. I get the whole world unlocked, skip past the annoying missions like training and zero, and can make money and mess around.
This game is pretty much getting fricked in the ass while memorizing every single encounter and the correct way to complete the mysteries, THEN it becomes about getting good rng ON TOP of doing everything correctly.
Are you guy just randomizing everything while playing on a hard difficulty because if all you want to do is complete a run it really isn't that hard and actually gets boring once you've done it a lot.
You can reroll your mysteries at the start of the game, as many times as you like.
Once you know which mysteries have an unavoidable boss fight at the end, completing a run is really easy. That involves actually playing the game and reading, though.
Has anyone tried fricking around with modding this thing yet? I feel like it has a lot of potential if it gets as big of a modding community as Darkest Dungeon.
For those that are more than familiar with the game, would you say it'd benefit from a non-roguelike approach? Seem like a single complete playthrough is quite lengthy just to be ruined by a random event or encounter. >t. bought it yesterday and having fun so far
You need to complete the achievements for the game so you can have A LOT more control of the neighborhood. Also can anyone confirm if Majima is still in the game?
take it from dead cop event
be the hunter's lesbo daughter
pass a STR check in a yakuza guy specific event
buy from illegal den or beat cultist hunter b
use tiny key on school locker in scissor mystery
Oh for sure. I was just pointing out Gankers short term memory. This is FAR from 'RNG the game'. The 1.0 changes are disappointing though. Surely there was a middle ground between tracing and blob, especially since the animated trailers use the old designs.
Dex is pretty much the best for combat since you can easily get a steak knife from the shiba store and kill enemies easily with it. I'm not sure if punching and kicking is affected by DEX as much though.
Dex is supreme purely because it's an attack stat and a defensive one. Also, Aiko's fast swimmer perk is a lot better than mob man's core strength.
The overall balance and build variety in this game leaves a lot to be desired. The toll for using spells also tends to be way too high at higher difficulties. Strength should increase damage as well as speed, and knowledge should reduce spell cost.
You want one attacks stat, and Dex is the best for it. Primary because dodge is the best defensive skill and its useful in a lot of skill events.
Charisma is the second best stat, because it lets you easily gain a circle of student friends that buff your other stats, and lets you run whatever utility weapon you want because your main damage is weaponless, ordering your simps to attack in place.
The problem with STR is brace takes too long even with high strength as it's only useful against high power enemies. It does have good weapons though like the Shovel.
If you have good funds and have done specific achievements to unlock the ability to buy more ammo, a Per gun build is great.
Knowledge is a decent skill check stat while also having really useful light weapons.
The worst stat is luck.
Wait, I'd not touched the game in a long time. They changed the art of something?
Some of the character art got changed because of copyright fears. Junji is no longer Mr OOO for example.
So now that it's out, what the frick is this game? I heard it's a randomly generated roguelike but also an RPG with an Ito setting? How the frick does that work? It good for spooky month?
It's roguelike rpg akin to the arkham horror card game or Elder signs board game.
You investigate areas to improve your character trying to get 5 mystery quests done so you tackle the final tower before an oldgod gets summoned. Its all dice roll statchecks, status management and turn based combat.
haven't played since the previous big update but no workshop is fricked up. the game is quite literally perfect for workshop content and if there's anything i was expecting in a 1.0 patch it'd be that
It has mods, but they are all put into the official discord
Is the bat girl as bad as she seems?
its more she's meh, with no obvious build because her perks are centered around slight combat buffs, and the benefit she has is having a +2 to the most under utilized stat in the game: Luck.
Who the frick is Takashi san anyway what a prankster that guy is
He's a telemarketer salesman who went off the deep end and wishes to summon an old god, while being a bootleg jigsaw.
Junji has a habit of anti-climatic villains and endings, so a game that makes the villain a random salaryman who just stalls for time is pretty fitting.
World of Fake Gameplay.
Imagine having a great idea for a game, great art, and wasting it on this fake gameplay garbage.
Any time you see >roguelike >roguelite >deckbuilder >procgen
these are not red flags - these are THE WHOLE SKY turning red with a flashing warning message telling you not to engage with it, because these are not games - they are skinner boxes dressed up as something designed to trick you into thinking "skinner box good."
Someday, I hope people look back on these and realize that fake/forced/artificial gameplay was the enemy all along.
>worship this utterly insane court of demons who want to eat everyone and shang-hai whatever remains! >worship litersl depression incarnate! >worship this spooky mirror demon that will consume everything! >worship this squid thing who will erase the universe if it ever wakes up!
Well hey if you can't beat them, join them.
At least the classic Outer Gods are more sympathetic, gifting you with everything from knowledge and children to fabulous magical powers.
Eh-Zhal is probably the worst of them, given we know it's a genuinely multiversal issue where people are literally being devoured by the essence of sadness and misery.
That happens if you arrested him with the handcuffs you get at a police station.
Unless you're implying hes the detetctive who fires at cultists summoning a different god in the festival mystery
>the detective who fires at cultists summoning a different god in the festival mystery
I think that was the main one IIRC, I haven't played in an eternity so that might just be the fog of ages talking.
haven't played since the previous big update but no workshop is fricked up. the game is quite literally perfect for workshop content and if there's anything i was expecting in a 1.0 patch it'd be that

You generate random events over and over until the game ends. By generating random events you progress 5 "mysteries" which can have different endings. Then once you finish that the game asks if you remember what the second mystery you did was, and then the game ends.
Really enjoyed this one during early access, glad its making 1.0. There was a time a few years back that we thought the dev died during the height of the COVID pandemic, but he showed up again aftera year and kept updating shit.
Good aesthetic, neat Lovecraft + Junji Ito feel to it, overall fun to play if you don't mind a certain amount of randomness. Worth buying, doubly so on sale. Will have to play 1.0 and check out all the new shit. Also if the additional user created mods on Steam Workshop haven't been updated yet, give it some time.
Someone claims to like her but I feel so much weaker playing her then the others. +2 luck on a goodish weapon isn't worth having less then a 50% chance to win every early skillcheck imo
I just started playing, I have questions.
The mysteries, do you HAVE to explore the circled locations or is that just a tutorial thing?
The last area of the mysteries where you click on the boxes to explore, do you always have to explore every single one?
I'm still in my first run and have only done 3 mysteries so far, but each one has ended with me seemingly not solving them. I feel like I might be missing something important
>The mysteries, do you HAVE to explore the circled locations or is that just a tutorial thing?
Yes >The last area of the mysteries where you click on the boxes to explore, do you always have to explore every single one?
No >I'm still in my first run and have only done 3 mysteries so far, but each one has ended with me seemingly not solving them. I feel like I might be missing something important
Messed something up
>No
How are you meant to explore them or did I just get bad rng? One of them I was looking for a key and it say in one of the locations "this is where the key is" or something but I didn't see anything I could do other than explore the next room(s) >Messed something up
I'm guessing I ran out of time, each time it just jumped to the finale after I explored everything
>I'm guessing I ran out of time, each time it just jumped to the finale after I explored everything
Could be your Doom hit 100%. Unless you mean you failed a mystery and got a bad ending for it, which is fine and won't be a game over, you'll still get your key.
>finally unlocked curse girl >16 curses >all curse perks >steak knife does 18 damage with 93 percent chance to hit and can attack 6 times in one round
jesus fricking christ
There's some like that. Some events are related to your chosen character or the god. Most of it is related to whatever location you're investigating. But there's still a lot of general ones.
I don't think he made the trailer. The publisher probably had it made.
>what did he mean by this?
It's kind of unfortunate that the game has some serviceable art though apparently a lot of it is traced and still looks a bit rough in places that they can't have a more skilled artist refine things more.
the point is to mimic old Mad/PC88 adventure games. He only used his mouse to make the art.

And that's amirable, but still the art could look a bit nicer, I think. it doesn't have to be improved, but with the way its taken a step back in certain places it should at least looks as good as before.
>find gun >Aim it >You pull the trigger but nothing happens >You pull the trigger but nothing happens >You pull the trigger but nothing happens >You pull the trigger but nothing happens
I fail to see the problem, plus you can choose the art on the character select

>you can choose the art on the character select
Why didn't we get that for Aiko's home sprite is still a mystery to me.
Also apparently there's no copyright issues, the dev redrew them because he "didn't like the originals".
This game is so disappointing. It sucked when it was the flavor of the month shilled game and it has barely changed.
It's so basic and barebones. There's nothing in the game. You can finish the entire game in 10 minutes and see all the ''content''
It's so repetitive. There's no point to any of it. It's not like it's this deep game where if you find a flashlight there's going to be 100 different chances to use it that will branch off the story, no it's going to be used in the one single event that is coming up and it will give you +2 to some stat. It's all about memorization and minmaxing the 5 things that actually matter to finishing the game. There's no sense of horror or any kind of a story, ''OOOOO spooky monster!!!!'' shows up and you just look at the options to see if you want to lose -1 of this stat while gain +2 this or lose -2 this and gain +1 that, because you need this one stat to be 5 because there's an encounter upcoming and that's the check you need to pass.
*on the first mystery
that's the important part and then the school where i had the nurse for free minor injury healing set up ALSO shuts down right afterwards, right as i got some minor injuries
Spiritual actions.
You can ethier
sever ties, which deals a small amount of damage,
offering which does more, but costs 1 fund
Or you can attempt the Clap Bow minigame.
You make 5 moves that are claps and bows and it will tell you how many you got right.
If you manage to get all 5 right, youve learnt the code that run andthe ghost is instantly defeated. If you use that same code on any future ghosts, they instadie too.
There is a tired girl on the schoolyard rooftop who whispers the first two pieces of it.
Yeah, but it is still fun when you roll a stupidly good loadout. And to a certain extent, the game is controllable to the point at which you should win almost every time barring incredibly bad RNG. If your winrate isn't above 90%, that's a skill issue
The timeline B has some minor changes to the mysteries. Off the top of my head:
If you defeat the scissors lady you get her scissors
At the end of the village fair mystery you will have to fight the boss
Aka Manto boss has a true form which is even harder but that might be me misremembering stuff
Also Mimi's nurse outfit becomes actual nurse outfit
kind of, you can get assraped hard by bad dice rolls
>fail event >fail event >fail event, get an injury >event steals your money >get forced into giving up some hp, reason, or xp for money because you arent fricking allowed to go poor in this game
Game knowledge can carry you to a >90% winrate. Certain settings will make RNG more brutal though, old gods like the fish or the spider can really frick you over in rare instances. But the game gives you a lot of resources to work with, the doom timer isn't nearly as pressing as it seems.
>even after nerfing dex to maximizing you to 8 actions per turn it's still the best stat regardless of character
when will gamedevs realize that speed will always be king
8 actions per turn feels like shit. I invest into my weapon’s stat and combat action time now feels much worse. Feels like this for non-dex weapons too.
>8 actions per turn feels like shit
lmao what
at that point you're still one shotting most enemies with the steak knife, if you get something better you are just unstoppable in combat
it doesn't matter what you do, doing it faster is ALWAYS better
there's literally no reason not to invest in dex regardless of any other stat's usefulness
>Give smth useful for other stats >Player now has the reason to improve em
wow so hard
it doesn't matter what you do, doing it faster is ALWAYS better
there's literally no reason not to invest in dex regardless of any other stat's usefulness
You... know combat speed is modified by which attribute your weapon corresponds to, right? KNW weapons get faster with knowledge and such.
>there's a hidden luck stat that can get checked against >if you have a weapon, level that weapon's corresponding stat for faster combat actions (i. e. actions fill up less of the time bar); this should ideally be your player character's favored stat (for example, give the witch girl a knowledge weapon) >take some time to get familiar with the combat screen, it looks unintuitive but starts making sense >you can rest not just inbetween mysteries, but during mysteries on the "at home" location, for a doom penalty >keep your STA and REA up by resting and healing, even at the expense of doom; even if you lose due to doom reaching 100%, at least you get a cool ending screen unlike the generic death screens >frick around with things that seem risky, like spells and events that may curse you, just to see how fricked up your character portrait can get >use a guide for achievements because some of them require very specific setups and each achievement unlocks more stuff (items, events, characters and more)
The apartment inbetween mysteries has two important clickable elements:
Click the drawer under the window on the main screen for a chance at either an empty bottle or library notes.
The wardrobe screen has a little robot figurine, click it for 1 free fnd.
In the same way you can get free handcuffs at the police station and painkillers at the doctor.
The tutorial you're in is a bit weird because it teaches combat, general point-and-click elements and how that unique mystery works, but NOT the actual main gameplay of investigating in the overworld.
>painkillers on the top shelf of the doctor's office >money in the toy mech figure on the outfit screen >bottle of water/library notes in the sideboard cabinet
anything else?
>if EELS EELS EELS EELS is available, rush it for Kana >if Ramen is available, do it second so I'll remember it
anyone else have patterns they try to do for mysteries?
His mask saved me so many times that I usually do it 1st or 2nd.
I gather gossip for the bonus exp and recruit students while I'm there, pick red or blue for the "easy" boss fight and handcuff him.
So if I want to unlock fire-arm girl I should just listen to the news until I hear about the disappearance, reset level up perks until I get outdoorsman and then just grind the forest, is that right?
You have to unlock a specific event pack first via achievements, otherwise the forest event won't be there.
>unlock event pack B by winning four playthroughs (achievement World Saved IV) >view missing person report on TV >get Outdoorsman perk >investigate forest until bloody sweater event, select "wait"
Hardware store if you're a strCHAD and not a dexSISSY, click around the locations and pay attention to the sub-locations you can visit like shops/hospital/etc
Hardware store if you can access it.
Vigil mystery has a free meat cleaver in the storage room
Scissors mystery has a free baseball bat in one of the lockers
Both are STR weapons.
>Scissors mystery has a free baseball bat in one of the lockers
Do the vent pervert mystery before that and you can get a key to the other locker to get a rifle. You can also botch the symbol to get the boss to drop its scissors.
my full save from back when it released on steam is gone because the game doesn't have cloud support? what are the important unlocks again to go for first?
Fun game, but I wonder how much replay value it has.
Already beat it twice and I'm almost a quarter of the way through events and over halfway through enemies. Though I still haven't gotten any of the extended packs.
What the hell is "Custom Mysteries", by the way? Is that some mod shit or can I unlock those in the base game?
How replayable is this game and how fun is it. I keep trying to look up videos but everything is old and I see it just got fully released. Worth buying it or getting something else like divinity or darkest dankest 2
So does this game have any good mods? Like, specific mods. Any time this question is asked all you get is "oh yeah there's tons of mods! just check discord!!!" and that's just an unorganized mess of shit and trannies with no way to identify what's good and what's trash.
Mods for WoH means all the modular content like mysteries, events, items, characters etc. AFAIK nothing that impacts any fundamental game mechanics.
I think your best bet are characters.

reminder that brace prevents any injury or curse from enemy attacks. the STRchad has a 0% chance to suffer from holes or getting cut up by the fisherman.
>mystery of forbidden shit >there's missing students >yet another ritual innawoods >if you fail the ritual theres main boss is rapist tree from Evil Dead that can be cheesed with an axe/chainsaw or burned
>Something something abnormally large hornets spotted in the village >Standard mystery format. So using the normal town. But has an extra exploitable location called "hornet sighting". Exploring this leads to a guaranteed combat encounter against "angry hornets" which is a duo fight against two low health hornets >Has you investigate down town, the village, and the mansion a lot. >Side quest requires you investigate hornet sightings twice >Reward for completing side quest is meeting an entomologists who has been studying the hornets. He says that if the queen dies the entire hive will die with it. >Final encounter is finding the hive in the village. >Turns out the hornets build their hives in human corpses >Final fight is destroying one of these corpse hives >If you completed the side quest you can kill end the fight in two turns by doing a "find the queen" action followed by a "kill the queen" actions >Otherwise it's a standard combat encounter >Bonus ending for burning the hive with the DIY-flamethrower or fuel items >Ending A (killing the queen) awards a "huge hornet queen stinger" weapon which is a knowledge weapon that deals extra damage versus human enemies
>Bonus effect. Getting damaged by a hornet gives a "painful sting" minor injury which lowers dexterity by 1 till the end of the mystery.

Fine, You know why I left that out? Because I refuse to visit the Discord. But I've seen people with screenshots of full custom characters, enemies and even mysteries, but, as you know, you need to go to the discord to get them.
Examples of what I found?
-Lots of classical monsters as enemies, like skeletons, vampires and werewolves
-lots of anime protags playable
-some people praising the custom mysteries >keep the act
not everyone is out to get you.
and I won't reply to you anymore, so you can either give up and join the c**tcord or scour google and r*ddit for them

Eh... I think it's a charming game overall... but this doesn't really feel like 1.0 release.
Placeholder names are still here, lol.
Still no adventure story.
Mizuki has fat arms now.
She's hunted by the spirit of the person shes pretending to be.
This plays out mechanically too. Juri Dies and cant gain xp anymore after her horror meter hits 100, but she gets xp much faster than others.
I'd like to read a cosmic horror story about that. Inadvertently dooming the world just because you happened to buy the wrong item at the wrong time. Not even an artifact of doom or something, just a plain old item.
Do you guys reroll mysteries? I think that's cheating but I'm starting to have second thoughts because I feel like I'll never do the cook book challenge unless I reroll.

Your bricks will decay and og back to dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is the time the wall looked kinda hot.
This is your fate, this is what you choose. There is no turning back.
You don't even have any blood left
a small scratch by the wall snatch
How do you beat this homie?
NTA but just beat him a moment ago. Not sure if it's only after turn one or after observing, but on turn two I got a contextual option on the left side of the combat options to attack the teacher
I think observing said he was weak to magic which may be another option since physical is out
Yeah I noticed it after a few turns. Wish it was more obvious since it's very easy to not notice.
>didn't realise you could attack the teacher
>mind drained the school to death
>ended up a 7 reason moron for the rest of my run
>somehow still won
Was actually kinda fun.
DOOM SWEEP
There's no RNG, they're dice rolls. You can even have the game tell you the math.
>dice rolls
>not rng
Dice rolls are less random.
it's still rng. of course you can tip the scales in your favour but you could still get fricked
>dice rolls are "random number generator"
The word you're looking for is RANDOM dumb cat poster
dice are random number generators by definition moron-kun.
Doesn't make your post any more grammatically correct, lowercase-moron
theirs a problum wiff my grammur? shieet manz i'z sorrie.
their our know rules
Wake me when the old art comes back.
Is it that bad?
Pretty terrible.
Wait, I'd not touched the game in a long time. They changed the art of something?
The old art was all traced so they changed it out of fear of lawsuits. Some anons say you can change it back but it doesn't work for me
Have any sites updated the game yet?
gg
what do you do in this videogame?
look at badly traced drawings of album covers while you click through the same dozen or so text boxes ad infinitum
that doesn't sound very scary
or very fun
thank you for the information, I will not purchase this video game
Skill issue
>Swimmer girl can shred monstrosities with her bare hands, a decent weapon alone can carry her runs
>Yakuza guy transcends to godhood by smoking cigarettes, can use pistol CQC on top
>Magic girl can flay people with her mind because she works out at the library
>Tiddy monster can form a gang to jump Eldritch monstrosities
The player in WoH is fricking stupidly powerful
>Then there's priest, who wins by pure FAITH
Only once you know what you are doing and what you are doing.
Some achievements are RNG aids though
>don't have the money for it until payday
>console version got delayed anyway
>to payday
Well that works I guess
someone post sugar breasts running in the forest
Reminder:use the shops and not be such a homosexual when you arent prepared and get curbstomped.
Also Rest, at least one wont kill you unless you spiked your Doom super hard
If you are playing Juri one rest will absolutely kill you.
It's nowhere near as rng as it looks once you gitgud at the game.
The actual rng bullshit the game has are the requirements for very specific achievements
Frick you, Otherworldly Thirst
I can't tell if the game is worth the price tag. How much content is there? How is the combat?
She's a jack of all trades character with solid combat specific perks.
Personally I prefer dex, since being dex with an extra 10% dodge chance makes her very evasive.
She can also reduce a boss enemy's power to 0 once if you prepare at home to collect her baseball.
it's really easy moddable? I want a e-girl succubus character
I wouldnt say easy, but there are a good amount of mods already.
Just they are mainly on discord.

Why did he do it?
Almost all that shit was traced from Japanese album covers, with the JP release it was probably the easiest way to dodge lawsuits.
Global/console releases are such a curse
Why is it only certain art? Was the other art traced form non-copyrighted sources?
>Almost all that shit was traced from Japanese album covers
Are there examples? It's hard to imagine how tracing an approximately 30x60 monochrome pixel face could be recognized.
THIS NEW PORTRAIT IS A HORROR BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION, NOT EVEN GOD ITSELF KNOWS WHAT THEY WERE THINKING

Any mods to bring back the old art yet?
Wish she'd put my fleshy toy in her bag.
you kicked out your roommate and stole her dildo?
the frick dude.
Only way I'm getting some Bad Dragon in this post inflation economy.
To the shills from the Discord here: let it be known that I pirated the game, and it was shit (just repeat a series of random events over and over until the game ends). You shan't be receiving a cent from me.
What the heck dude? They worked their ass off to release the game. The least we can all do is reward their hard work...
Bugfix release is already on Steam public beta
So should I avoid playing 1.0?
It's just a more expensive and buggier version of the game, BUT IT'S COMING OUT ON SWITCH!!!
Ganker is schizoing out again because we've had a handful of fun threads since yesterday. Obviously play it, there's new mysteries, characters and gods. Tradeoff is that a few characters have new, wonky artwork but for Mizuki (booba idol) you can just click her character select again to get the old art.
Is there vore and inflation in this game? If so, I'll buy it.
i want to follow mizuki and her fat fricking breasts right up that lighthouse no matter how many times she uses me as monster bait
jesus christ
>it's another "you kill the enemy in 2-3 turns or you die" encounter
Yes
To be fair when I encountered them on my last playthrough Haru (Fireaxe, out of cigs since all my mysteries were rolled out of town) they still die pretty fast if your setup isn't bad. The nurses do jumpscare me every time I get them since their damage is ridiculous.
What the frick do you expect
Two Deadites coming at you with knives is a pretty big hazard to your life
Only 8 and 9 HP, just focus one at a time and be quick.
lost two runs to doom in the lighthouse, last one only because it got extended a floor.
Suffering
I will reiterate from the previous thread:
This is primarily a ryona game.
You play it to watch the cute girls get traumatised and brutalised.
I like tough girls somehow barely surviving eldritch monstrosities.
Dummy thicc
I'm going back to the GTA: SA driving school so I can get a flavor of "fricked in the ass" that I can actually beat with enough training.
what the frick was hit problem?
Big fat angry guy.
High blood pressure just makes you insufferable in general.
It's only worse because he's likely in a company vehicle, which is why the cab's being recorded.
both parties were insufferable but passing on the right is a b***h move
if you don't have space, fall back and get in line, its not that hard to figure out
especially if you don't have the decency to use a turn signal
everyone's trying to get somewhere. its not that hard to wait 5 minutes for traffic (which was clearly moving) to filter through
that being said, again, they're both at fault. defensive driving is key. if either of them had done so, there'd have been no issue but most people on the road are literally never going to yield even when they're supposed to
>both are bad!
No.
They literally are. One failed to see it was risky to merge and the other didn't even bother letting the other merge. A sequence of dumb mistakes.
>the other didn't even bother letting the other merge
That's how it works, yes. Literally did nothing wrong.
>not being bad means always acquiescing to buttholes
A lot of lately Americans like to put themselves in danger so they can put everyone else in danger. No thoughts about de-escalation.
I have no problem with this webm. Use turn signals.
>Chad PIT
>GTA: SA driving school so I can get a flavor of "fricked in the ass" that I can actually beat with enough training.
It was plane school on PC for me. GOD I hate SA's mission structure. Tutorial after tutorial after tutorial after another god damn tutorial. It lay the foundations of modern concern in games, but it's a good game.
If I ever replay it, I'm going to use something like https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=12852 on a story-only complete save file. I get the whole world unlocked, skip past the annoying missions like training and zero, and can make money and mess around.
Why is Mizuki milked like that that?
I MEANT BUILT
you merely said what we're all thinking
Dumb horny cat.
1.0 has released, time for my 100th attempt at the funny cook book challenge.
It genuinely just came down to one run where the 10% food chance kept popping for me. Frick this dumbass for forgetting his necronomicon.
Are you guy just randomizing everything while playing on a hard difficulty because if all you want to do is complete a run it really isn't that hard and actually gets boring once you've done it a lot.
Some people have no ability to prepare unless they are expressly told everything that is gonna happen. A tragic life they lead
You can reroll your mysteries at the start of the game, as many times as you like.
Once you know which mysteries have an unavoidable boss fight at the end, completing a run is really easy. That involves actually playing the game and reading, though.
So are the stories consistent now or is it still just clicking through a bunch of random events that aren't connected to each other?
It's a roguelike, that will never be the case.
It got full released yesterday
still trying to get the achievement for something truly evil, fricker doesn't want to appear on my runs
Does this game have jumpscares ? I like horror but a b***h when it comes to jump scares
Just a couple and they're not really that scary because this is pretty much all still images anyway
why is this game popular again all of a sudden?
Official release
is the save function working yet?
Any magnet links for a torrent?
Is the shopkeeper as kino as she is in the trailer?
She's just a png sadly
The trailer is pure SOVL.
Has anyone tried fricking around with modding this thing yet? I feel like it has a lot of potential if it gets as big of a modding community as Darkest Dungeon.
there are a lot of mods and even some really good ones but unfortunately they're all in a fricking discord channel
got a link?
This finally got updated?? Nice, gonna reinstall later

why did he do it bros
this is odd considering he met the man himself, maybe junji ito intimidated the dev to change to someone else which seems very unlikely of him.
Apparently he pushed ito into timeline b
Alright, I've owned this game for years and have never gotten anywhere. How the frick do you play this game?
>No workshop
why don't we just make our own mods?
it's weird, no workshop nor steam achievements
doesn't feel like a 1.0, game's really cool but it seems really odd to call this the final product
The dev's always been a lazy piece of shit. This isn't a full release so much as slapping a 1.0 sticker on it so he can stop "working" on it.
>Caring about achievements
>Caring about workshop when the games comes with modding tools already
Are you guys like actual children?
are any unlocks/content gated behind difficulty? i.e. should I play on max difficulty if I wanna unlock shit?
For those that are more than familiar with the game, would you say it'd benefit from a non-roguelike approach? Seem like a single complete playthrough is quite lengthy just to be ruined by a random event or encounter.
>t. bought it yesterday and having fun so far
>Seem like a single complete playthrough is quite lengthy
It's not that long really
You need to complete the achievements for the game so you can have A LOT more control of the neighborhood. Also can anyone confirm if Majima is still in the game?
HOLY SHIT HOW HARD IS IT TO GET A CANDLE EVENT OR 2 CURSES?!

i got this on like my second attempt and had no idea what i was doing. was essentially a guaranteed death sentence
Lol Darkest Dungeon exists.
yeah but this is withouth the slop that DD have
Oh for sure. I was just pointing out Gankers short term memory. This is FAR from 'RNG the game'. The 1.0 changes are disappointing though. Surely there was a middle ground between tracing and blob, especially since the animated trailers use the old designs.
>final encounter is always the lighthouse still
lame
strength is so bad
which stats are worth it? I'm seeing alot of value in Dex. Knowledge seems good too
pretty much, stacking dex is straightforward and knowledge is great too if you have the camera
my favorite weapon is dex, though it all depends on what you want to do, and which character your playing.
Dex is pretty much the best for combat since you can easily get a steak knife from the shiba store and kill enemies easily with it. I'm not sure if punching and kicking is affected by DEX as much though.
>our hero had to ruin Ramen that everyone loved
who are the real Eldritch Horrors?
>WE LOVE EATING SHIT, WHY ARE YOU STOPPING US.
the people of japan apparently.
Some of the character art got changed because of copyright fears. Junji is no longer Mr OOO for example.
It's roguelike rpg akin to the arkham horror card game or Elder signs board game.
You investigate areas to improve your character trying to get 5 mystery quests done so you tackle the final tower before an oldgod gets summoned. Its all dice roll statchecks, status management and turn based combat.
It has mods, but they are all put into the official discord
its more she's meh, with no obvious build because her perks are centered around slight combat buffs, and the benefit she has is having a +2 to the most under utilized stat in the game: Luck.
He's a telemarketer salesman who went off the deep end and wishes to summon an old god, while being a bootleg jigsaw.
Junji has a habit of anti-climatic villains and endings, so a game that makes the villain a random salaryman who just stalls for time is pretty fitting.

Rain of Spiders done. I took seventh curse to cheese my early funds to buy a ritual dagger and on your own is what made it snowball.
who would worship an all eating spider
Voregays
moronic demon cultists. Same people who worship a giant eye that eats planets, cosmic entropy, or a giant lizard that drowns you.
Not a single Old God offers any tangible benefits.
>surely worshipping this giant eye that will eat earth is a good idea because I get to cast spells and go kinda crazy!
>worship this utterly insane court of demons who want to eat everyone and shang-hai whatever remains!
>worship litersl depression incarnate!

>worship this squid thing who will erase the universe if it ever wakes up!
Well hey if you can't beat them, join them.
At least the classic Outer Gods are more sympathetic, gifting you with everything from knowledge and children to fabulous magical powers.
Words coming from a cultist hunter that I am about to blow the entire ammo reserve of a police revolver on.
I, for one, welcome the God of Inconceivable Sadness.
Eh-Zhal is probably the worst of them, given we know it's a genuinely multiversal issue where people are literally being devoured by the essence of sadness and misery.

Who the frick is Takashi san anyway what a prankster that guy is
He's just some guy the characters presumably know and it turns out he's one of the masterminds.
I thought he was either police or a detective, I vaguely recall someone similar to him appearing in at least one ending where the cops show up.
WORLD OF HORROR
any porn mods or porn games like it?
>any porn mods
You asked for it.
haven't played since the previous big update but no workshop is fricked up. the game is quite literally perfect for workshop content and if there's anything i was expecting in a 1.0 patch it'd be that
So now that it's out, what the frick is this game? I heard it's a randomly generated roguelike but also an RPG with an Ito setting? How the frick does that work? It good for spooky month?
You generate random events over and over until the game ends. By generating random events you progress 5 "mysteries" which can have different endings. Then once you finish that the game asks if you remember what the second mystery you did was, and then the game ends.
It's a horror computer board game
Really enjoyed this one during early access, glad its making 1.0. There was a time a few years back that we thought the dev died during the height of the COVID pandemic, but he showed up again aftera year and kept updating shit.
Good aesthetic, neat Lovecraft + Junji Ito feel to it, overall fun to play if you don't mind a certain amount of randomness. Worth buying, doubly so on sale. Will have to play 1.0 and check out all the new shit. Also if the additional user created mods on Steam Workshop haven't been updated yet, give it some time.
You will forget your 2nd mystery, you will forget your 2nd enemy, and you will doom loss due to fricking up a memory check.
You WILL get contaminated water on your second mystery.
>contaminated water
>next one is fetid fumes
Average World of Horror playthrough.
2nd mystery is pretty easy to remember, but I'm going to have to write down my second enemy for sure.
I always tell myself to write it down but never remember to do it. Thanks early onset dementia.

i haven't checked out the new update yet, why is Anon about to get fricked in the butt?
look in the crack near the mouse cursor
if that's not enough for you, you should really just play the game.
wait i thought there was a counter for that, did that get changed? or am i just a moron?
Why are the girls so good in this game?
girls literally got a deliberate downgrade for 1.0
Which ones?
all the injured girls are cute..
Is this your fetish?
a new one maybe
heavily referencing photos of girls. i'm pretty sure mimi's sprite here
is based on belle delphine
Oh shit. I guess she does surf.
Is the bat girl as bad as she seems?
Yes
>The last area of the mysteries where you click on the boxes to explore, do you always have to explore every single one?
No
>I'm still in my first run and have only done 3 mysteries so far, but each one has ended with me seemingly not solving them. I feel like I might be missing something important
Messed something up
>No
How are you meant to explore them or did I just get bad rng? One of them I was looking for a key and it say in one of the locations "this is where the key is" or something but I didn't see anything I could do other than explore the next room(s)
>Messed something up
I'm guessing I ran out of time, each time it just jumped to the finale after I explored everything
>each time it just jumped to the finale after I explored everything
No, that is exactly how it works
>I'm guessing I ran out of time, each time it just jumped to the finale after I explored everything
Could be your Doom hit 100%. Unless you mean you failed a mystery and got a bad ending for it, which is fine and won't be a game over, you'll still get your key.

Pirate bros where are you getting 1.0 at
From cs.rin.ru thread:
https://spyderrock.com/hPFE3793-WorldofHorror-v1.rar
Looks like a virus
Just three more and I'll unlock Kana my beloved.
If I drag the save files out of my old hard drive from years ago will they work with 1.0?
Nope. One of the reasons why I hate it.
Game would be a lot better if the random events you get during mysteries were related to that mystery and not just... random stuff.
That shit is driving me crazy, how hard is it to give each investigation its own event pool?
There's some like that. Some events are related to your chosen character or the god. Most of it is related to whatever location you're investigating. But there's still a lot of general ones.
why does miku get her own armpit ending screen
Rain of Spiders is such a fricking b***h
Was kind of hoping for a bit more tbh.
Feels like he just called it 1.0 so people would get off his ass about it.
That and it's releasing on consoles and you're not gonna call it "the 0.9.9 version" when you're charging for a cart of it.
It was basically just a bigger update than usual, but nothing really unexpected. The coolest thing about the update was the animated trailer.
think of all the frames he could have added to the game instead of making that trailer
Someone else animated the trailer though.
I don't think he made the trailer. The publisher probably had it made.
It's kind of unfortunate that the game has some serviceable art though apparently a lot of it is traced and still looks a bit rough in places that they can't have a more skilled artist refine things more.
the point is to mimic old Mad/PC88 adventure games. He only used his mouse to make the art.
*Mac
And that's amirable, but still the art could look a bit nicer, I think. it doesn't have to be improved, but with the way its taken a step back in certain places it should at least looks as good as before.
The black mold has taken it's toll, please understand.
Has anyone managed to get ending B in the new apartment mystery? or is that a timeline thing.
Yes, you have to fail at finding the Stuffed Animal, its random. The fight still the same just without the Flesh Toy reward.

There's new art? I feel like the chars still look the same as before
you tell me
Good news, the scuffed Aiko and Mizuki art are confirmed to be getting updated and reworked.
Pic related is aikos new at home sprite
A lot of the mysteries that didnt have boss fights gain boss fights and some of the mysteries that have bossfights become harder.
Yeah that's much better.
Aiko bros we're so back
Still gonna miss her old portrait but this is miles better than whatever the frick we got in the middle.
That definitely looks a lot better, yeah
Gimme a side by side comparison anon.
God, imagine having an Aiko gf
Impressive. Very nice. HOWEVER
>tfw still no mod of her
I HATE
>Impressive. Very nice. HOWEV-
>bigger, saggier breasts
I fail to see the problem, plus you can choose the art on the character select
>you can choose the art on the character select
Why didn't we get that for Aiko's home sprite is still a mystery to me.
Also apparently there's no copyright issues, the dev redrew them because he "didn't like the originals".
Guess i'll hold off on playing until they fix this shit
According to a cryptic hint, apparently the author ooo will have the Junji Ito sprite in Timeline B.
Wait until the update hits. Mizuki has both art options available, maybe we'll have OG Aiko back too.
I don't like it. The original was much better. Frick the author, guess I'll be pirating the old version forever.
I need to kill Something Truly Evil and Im done with all the achivements. Aka Manto mask came in clutch at the Lighthouse.
You can do it Anon, Kana is waiting for you.
Im a fAith chad, I got this shit.
And it is done
Sex with Mizuki's Mirkers.
day after day of sex with mizuki instead of solving the mysteries so the world just ends around us
Until the building has a foul odor.
Oh no! She's cute!
I love her!
Still have not touched this game.
Still won't until it is finished.
Thanks for beta testing for me, keep up the good work.
1.0 just came out, why do you think there's a thread
Why is it so hard to just have cloud saves pantsass? Does anyone know what's stopping it from happening?
i've been trying to do the cold turkey challenge for over an hour and every time i get fricked
i don't think it's the fricking ciggies that are the problem
>IT'S ANOTHER "OLD GOD STIRS AND PISSES IN THE TAP WATER EPISODE"
NO MORE SHOWERS, UH OH, STINKY
>fricked water
>blood moon
>Get BIG FISH for old god
>BIG FISH gets angry if I explore the forest
>Mystery locks me into having to explore the forest 9 times.
Many cases.
*on the first mystery
that's the important part
and then the school where i had the nurse for free minor injury healing set up ALSO shuts down right afterwards, right as i got some minor injuries
can't beat Ill-Fated, which character is the best for it?
If only you got a character with a perk custom made for the background....
of course, what a moron i am, ty anon.
I beat it with the Swimmer girl.
She's very good at combat if you go all in on dex and get good perks, you can tank the damage from the events.
Juri
I never understood this game and dropped it after 3 hours.
How do I fight enemies with ghastly presence? Do I clap, bow and pray?
Spiritual actions.
You can ethier
sever ties, which deals a small amount of damage,
offering which does more, but costs 1 fund
Or you can attempt the Clap Bow minigame.
You make 5 moves that are claps and bows and it will tell you how many you got right.
If you manage to get all 5 right, youve learnt the code that run andthe ghost is instantly defeated. If you use that same code on any future ghosts, they instadie too.
There is a tired girl on the schoolyard rooftop who whispers the first two pieces of it.
Cool thanks!
The modding scene is neat already, shame it's on discord
HOLD THE FRICK UP IS THAT
Yes someone made a lster character mod
Another lunatic made a youmu
Why the frick is everything on discord now
Shit's awful. Discord is glorified MSN, not an archive.
>Everything on discord
>Discords can be deleted in seconds
I hate zoomers...
damn, the flamethrower is busted. I just first-turn killed a 45 hp enemy
Can you unlock shit organically now or do you still have to throw runs just to focus on unlock achievements?
The latter still
>Have entered the door 40 times now across multiple runs and not get the one UPPER KINGDOM event required for goblet
IM LOSING IT, POLEMAN SAVEEEE ME
Does that otherworld card need to be unlocked? I don't remember if it's a base set card.
Yeah, but it is still fun when you roll a stupidly good loadout. And to a certain extent, the game is controllable to the point at which you should win almost every time barring incredibly bad RNG. If your winrate isn't above 90%, that's a skill issue
What's the difference between world 1 and 2?
As in halloween and not?
Changes how some mysteries work.
For example I think the arms one has a boss fight instead of it's regular ending
Are forest tapes still useless?
Does the switch version have touch controls or do you have to use the analog stick to move an on-screen cursor like a moron
Is this a game where you can win no matter what the game throws at you with enough skill and knowledge?
If luck is skill then yes. RNG is your worst enemy.
kind of, you can get assraped hard by bad dice rolls
>fail event
>fail event
>fail event, get an injury
>event steals your money
>get forced into giving up some hp, reason, or xp for money because you arent fricking allowed to go poor in this game
Probably not in the highest difficulty setting, but i would expect a good player to have very high win streaks.
Game knowledge can carry you to a >90% winrate. Certain settings will make RNG more brutal though, old gods like the fish or the spider can really frick you over in rare instances. But the game gives you a lot of resources to work with, the doom timer isn't nearly as pressing as it seems.
Not really no.
>Allies attack still works on Oetaru
lel
>even after nerfing dex to maximizing you to 8 actions per turn it's still the best stat regardless of character
when will gamedevs realize that speed will always be king
8 actions per turn feels like shit. I invest into my weapon’s stat and combat action time now feels much worse. Feels like this for non-dex weapons too.
>8 actions per turn feels like shit
lmao what
at that point you're still one shotting most enemies with the steak knife, if you get something better you are just unstoppable in combat
I like punching things quickly
>Give smth useful for other stats
>Player now has the reason to improve em
wow so hard
it doesn't matter what you do, doing it faster is ALWAYS better
there's literally no reason not to invest in dex regardless of any other stat's usefulness
You... know combat speed is modified by which attribute your weapon corresponds to, right? KNW weapons get faster with knowledge and such.
I want to breed Aiko so we can have Eldritch slaying babies.
"I have no intelligence for risk management."
>Crimson Cape mystery
>Botanist mystery
AHH FRICK OFF WITH THIS
>Botanist mystery
Sounds like free flamethrower
Is cursed girl the strongest character? Sure feels like it
Current patch progress fresh off 'cord
kek
rip Aiko (2023 - 2023)
I love Kana.
eyepatch kana cute
First time playing this game, any tips and stuff i should know before starting?
Stuff you wish you knew when you first played?
>there's a hidden luck stat that can get checked against
>if you have a weapon, level that weapon's corresponding stat for faster combat actions (i. e. actions fill up less of the time bar); this should ideally be your player character's favored stat (for example, give the witch girl a knowledge weapon)
>take some time to get familiar with the combat screen, it looks unintuitive but starts making sense
>you can rest not just inbetween mysteries, but during mysteries on the "at home" location, for a doom penalty
>keep your STA and REA up by resting and healing, even at the expense of doom; even if you lose due to doom reaching 100%, at least you get a cool ending screen unlike the generic death screens
>frick around with things that seem risky, like spells and events that may curse you, just to see how fricked up your character portrait can get
>use a guide for achievements because some of them require very specific setups and each achievement unlocks more stuff (items, events, characters and more)
Don't forget to bean 'em, Johnny!
If you have the eel mistery, do that one first, get ready to poke some eyes out.
In your wardrobe there's a place with a hidden coin for extra money.
Level DEX
It's a roguelike anon, what the frick did you expect?
you can get free stuff by clicking on some random background elements in certain views
>painkillers on the top shelf of the doctor's office
>money in the toy mech figure on the outfit screen
>bottle of water/library notes in the sideboard cabinet
anything else?
The desk in your apartment room sometimes gives you something. Empty bottle and occult notes are all I've seen.
There's also Handcuffs in the police station.
Can it fit on a disket?
whats with the weird guy jumpscaring me when i click away for 5 minutes
Unlocks an achievement for the first time, if it annoys you you can turn it off in the options.
That's your friendly neighbor
Should World of Horror 2 be in colors?
>if EELS EELS EELS EELS is available, rush it for Kana
>if Ramen is available, do it second so I'll remember it
anyone else have patterns they try to do for mysteries?
eels > abnormal arms > scissors (second earliest at most if the other two isn't available) > non-boss investigations > everything else
Yeah
If I get crimson cape I restart
His mask saved me so many times that I usually do it 1st or 2nd.
I gather gossip for the bonus exp and recruit students while I'm there, pick red or blue for the "easy" boss fight and handcuff him.
100% save when?
Are the clown girl and mime girl mods back?
So if I want to unlock fire-arm girl I should just listen to the news until I hear about the disappearance, reset level up perks until I get outdoorsman and then just grind the forest, is that right?
You have to unlock a specific event pack first via achievements, otherwise the forest event won't be there.
>unlock event pack B by winning four playthroughs (achievement World Saved IV)
>view missing person report on TV
>get Outdoorsman perk
>investigate forest until bloody sweater event, select "wait"
Thank you, I'm already well beyond 4 wins, I had all the achievements once upon a time, many updates ago.
I've avoided this game for ages, what does the neighbor option do and is there a reason it's off by default?
its on by default
it jumpscares you if you alt tab from the game "supposedly to make you not look up guides" but its mostly just annoying
ohh, it got me a couple times, didn't realise that was the 'neighbor', thought it was a random event of some sort. I'll have it off, thanks!
Generic and character specific perks or random perks better?
wheres the fricking gog
>wheres the fricking gog
a true mistery.
have you tried gog.com?
What's the easiest way to get a weapon?
Search for improvised weapon?
Or do you mean a good weapon?
Picking a character that starts with one.
Check the shops as they become available.
Will I enjoy this if I like autistic roguelites that make the player suffer?
Most definitely. Runs can absolutely devolve into Darkest Dungeon level pain, dynamic character portraits included.
It's not that deep, i think.
Is that... strange geometrical shapes on a chalkboard? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SAVE ME ITO-SAN
my full save from back when it released on steam is gone because the game doesn't have cloud support? what are the important unlocks again to go for first?
help a fellow nyagger out. i used to finish true believer on a regular basis, but without unlocks i'm struggling even on cultist
This is why you don't fall for the Early Access meme, brother. Patientchads always win.
Early Access meme was cheaper though.
And it's not the only game to raise the price on release, I've seen other games do that too.
Piratechads always win too
Can you get one of the creepy masks from the event?
Fun game, but I wonder how much replay value it has.
Already beat it twice and I'm almost a quarter of the way through events and over halfway through enemies. Though I still haven't gotten any of the extended packs.
What the hell is "Custom Mysteries", by the way? Is that some mod shit or can I unlock those in the base game?
Mods
>What the hell is "Custom Mysteries", by the way?
A mod mysteries. For now people post them in trooncord.
How replayable is this game and how fun is it. I keep trying to look up videos but everything is old and I see it just got fully released. Worth buying it or getting something else like divinity or darkest dankest 2
It's very fun. Overwhelming at first, especially if you go in blind, but very well designed overall.
>Eldritch parasite
>Fail last skill check in lighthouse and go negative stamina
FRICK
I see the game is completely black and white, but screenshots in this thread have colour. Is it an option or a mod?
You can change colors in the game
If you don't hit randomize pallette every time you start then you have no soul
CLOSE
>true believer
gigabased, I'm gonna go back to it once I've unlocked some more stuff
>use vending
>break my arm
Happened IRL with me once
Don't be a poorgay
So does this game have any good mods? Like, specific mods. Any time this question is asked all you get is "oh yeah there's tons of mods! just check discord!!!" and that's just an unorganized mess of shit and trannies with no way to identify what's good and what's trash.
unfortunately, yea
It probably has some good mods, but you'd have to visit the trooncord
I appreciate that you guys are either moronic or shitposting. I won't ask and have the mystique broken.
but it is what is is
nobody has organized a repository yet, and every non-discord mod available are some shitty r34 badly drawn fetish mods
That wasn't the question asked.
Yes, it has good mods.
Now ask me where you find them
WHICH MODS mods you inbred frick, holy shit.
visit their discord you moronic frick
the game used to come bundled with 2 custom mysteries and people made more
but as people keep hammering into your tiny, aboriginal, c**t head, IT.IS . ON. THEIR. FRICKING. DISCORD
"What's your favorite food?"
"Yeah, the food's in the fridge."
How do you dress yourself in the morning?
With my hands.
Not the question you asked.
>So does this game have any good mods? Like, specific mods.
You asked if there's any good mods. People responded that there is, but they're gatekept on their Discord.
Yes, good mods exist.
Yes, you have to sift thru their Discord to find specific ones.
You ain't gonna find a pity link to one here, you HAVE TO get in the Discord. Feel free to be the one creating the repo is this upsets you.
You let the mask slip, anon. Don't include the part where *specific* mods were asked about if you want to keep up the act.
>are some shitty r34 badly drawn fetish mods
Are they even updated? The last one i checked had vore events and thats all
>The last one i checked had vore events and thats all
Sounds hot, which one was it?
Mods for WoH means all the modular content like mysteries, events, items, characters etc. AFAIK nothing that impacts any fundamental game mechanics.
I think your best bet are characters.
reminder that brace prevents any injury or curse from enemy attacks. the STRchad has a 0% chance to suffer from holes or getting cut up by the fisherman.
Quick anons, post your ideas for custom mysteries.
The custom mysteries are in the discord.
>need to beat miniboss squad before you can fight the main boss
mesugaki invasion
>mystery of forbidden shit
>there's missing students
>yet another ritual innawoods
>if you fail the ritual theres main boss is rapist tree from Evil Dead that can be cheesed with an axe/chainsaw or burned
Mysteries where Aiko and Mizuki and other girls get instaloss'd if they don't succeed.
I mean thats basically the flood mystery, but it happens to the dudes too.
Hysteria of horribly huge hornets
>Something something abnormally large hornets spotted in the village
>Standard mystery format. So using the normal town. But has an extra exploitable location called "hornet sighting". Exploring this leads to a guaranteed combat encounter against "angry hornets" which is a duo fight against two low health hornets
>Has you investigate down town, the village, and the mansion a lot.
>Side quest requires you investigate hornet sightings twice
>Reward for completing side quest is meeting an entomologists who has been studying the hornets. He says that if the queen dies the entire hive will die with it.
>Final encounter is finding the hive in the village.
>Turns out the hornets build their hives in human corpses
>Final fight is destroying one of these corpse hives
>If you completed the side quest you can kill end the fight in two turns by doing a "find the queen" action followed by a "kill the queen" actions
>Otherwise it's a standard combat encounter
>Bonus ending for burning the hive with the DIY-flamethrower or fuel items
>Ending A (killing the queen) awards a "huge hornet queen stinger" weapon which is a knowledge weapon that deals extra damage versus human enemies
>Bonus effect. Getting damaged by a hornet gives a "painful sting" minor injury which lowers dexterity by 1 till the end of the mystery.
>finish second mystery
>contaminated water
I'm so sick of this shit
Just rest during the investigation bro
>Rest
>Cursed Tree
>Pharmacy
Yeah, Contaminated Water is really bad, but there's a lot more means to recover without too much penalties.
-some people praising the custom mysteries
>keep the act
not everyone is out to get you.
and I won't reply to you anymore, so you can either give up and join the c**tcord or scour google and r*ddit for them
what happens if i drink the goblet of blood?
>what happens if i drink the goblet of blood?
cheevo
Restores 6 stamina and reason
The trailer is kino AF.
>New portraits vs old portraits.
...
Eh... I think it's a charming game overall... but this doesn't really feel like 1.0 release.
Placeholder names are still here, lol.
Still no adventure story.
Mizuki has fat arms now.
I simply won't play it because of the art changes. I love old things and hate new things, and that's it.
So what's the deal with her?
She's hunted by the spirit of the person shes pretending to be.
This plays out mechanically too. Juri Dies and cant gain xp anymore after her horror meter hits 100, but she gets xp much faster than others.
Huh?
Didn't know my waifu has a detailed backstory.
All the characters have a little bit of lore with three personal events hidden in their runs.
The new tomboy girl killed someone
>Mizuki has fat arms now
Let me see
>Lost my old save
>Have to get all achievements again to see what's new
Great. Just doomed the world trying to buy a hammer for an achievement.
I'd like to read a cosmic horror story about that. Inadvertently dooming the world just because you happened to buy the wrong item at the wrong time. Not even an artifact of doom or something, just a plain old item.
>no doom penalty for resting
wtf I love this new mystery now
nevermind don't do that anons
>get to boss
>only magic can damage it
>level 1 character with no spells
Bravo!
You talking about the school boss?
Look through all your combat options again
HOLY SHIT HE KILLED NEW AIKO
Patch notes?
Well that was quick, new update just came out that fixed the 1.0 sprites
Why does this abomination still exist
saggy milkers
Softcore erotica update for baths/showers when?
Sex mod when?
sexo?
You need to jerk off brother.
How I unlock new gods plz help.
Gain both eyes
kill three ghost dogs in one game
I forgot the third one
Do you guys reroll mysteries? I think that's cheating but I'm starting to have second thoughts because I feel like I'll never do the cook book challenge unless I reroll.
Just reroll, it's the same as hitting quit and retrying but it's faster.
>achievements for losing the game
is the full release uploaded anywhere yet?
https://mega.nz/#!HEMRwBhJ!dob-oMqzewbEyamVVeCxQHGckBnqzFllapUWWgWWZRI
dank
You're going to awaken the copyright god if you keep pulling this shit anon
There was another update though
Can he actually face legal action for tracing shit? What if he just denies it? I dislike the new art.
