Nowhere near as bad as massive gaps in AA availability in trees and the frequent fricking with missile systems that can cuck specific AA vehicles. Also unlike WoT the multiple vehicle spawning in WT makes CAS a force multiplier. One good pilot is bad enough but 3 or 4 loitering don’t even bother spawning ground at that point. It’s baffling that WT players routinely shit up WoT threads citing artillery as if it’s remotely comparable.

I won too much in the past with my 58% win rate that when I came back after taking a break, I just kept losing and getting punished. Over the period of 2 weeks I got a worse win rate than AFK bots, how is that fair? just because I done well now I must lose? stupid fricking game

I agree that is very possible, my issue is that I got a lower win rate over that 2 week period than AFK bots get which is just insane. I can handle a lot but 2 weeks of lose after lose unless I play like god was too much.

Theres 5 tiers of noticeable different accounts that get better to worst matchmaking:
1. EU CC / NA CC in the past but due to dying server and low population its not a good as EU CC accounts
2. Supertesters/ media press accounts/ Deputy sheriff accounts on NA/ WG employee accounts
3. Premium + wot plus accounts for paypigs that buy regular loot boxes and gaas wot plus every month
4. Premium accounts that buy more than 160 days of premium per year or that bought some 50$ premium tank or have some purchase with cash to their account
5. Free to play account that never paid anything
Some other shit also influences account matchmaking like how much you get reported for using chat, if you do surveys for common test servers, if you are regular and play daily and have a clan that plays actively, etc. but its all miniscule compared to the above division.
The 5 tiers of accounts can be like 2% winrate diff considering the same exact player playing on each of them.
Like give a 50% premium player an EU CC account he will go up like 5% in winrate.
Give some NA CC sherif a regular account thatrs trully free to play and he will drop from 58% to 51%.

That's really not how it works. Personal skill only takes you so far in terms of winning in quickplay, if you want to actually win consistently then you need to platoon up with two other good players as much as possible, otherwise you're just rolling the dice. You can be really skilled and have a really high WTR and still lose all the time just because you're playing solo. I usually play solo and I get 8-10k WTR every time I play and still only win maybe 54-55% of matches at most on good days.
Social skill is a skill, it's an MMO after all.
The matchmaker works according to the patent that was published.
After winning a lot in lets say some time period like you have a month of 55% winrate you will get a week or two of 45% winrate.
With really close games being 1 out of 100 battles.
You influence like 10% of battles outcome when you play on a normal account and try to win.

Years ago, there was a short lived competitive series I watched that had it all figured out. Teams were allotted a certain number of points to compose their team with, directly related to tank tiers. They'd have a few Tier1 Cunninghams so that they could afford high tier tanks. I thought this variety of tanks was really cool. The Cunninghams were used as scouts and the high tier tanks were what actually won the games.
It failed because it share nothing in common with the random game 15vs 15.

Literally nobody was using premium ammo when it was for gold only. It was simply too expensive, even for Clan Wars gays and P2W gays.
Premium ammo for credits was by far the worst change in the history of WoT.
Nah i do CW back in the day and everyone and their mother stack gold to buy full gold ammo for every CW battle. And also use whatever left for tier 10 random to stats padding. There were just a few premium tanks and only sell in web shop so beside that gold isn't used for much else.
You couldn't buy gold back then, you literally got 250 gold a day and thats it.
whatever it is WOT is much more friendly to new player than it was back then. 250 gold per day wouldn't be enough to entice me to get one shot by KV-1Sport and KV or SU-100 while i drive my tier 3-4 LT. Getting good crew is also a nightmare while now you get free sixth sense and only 100% crew from spring next year and can buy crew exp book for credit. There are tons of free shit and premium tanks given for free to make credit. You are just bounded by nostalgia of a better time.
