Regarding classic, it was a mistake. Great success to Blizzard by selling and making bank on a 18y old game but for the comunity it has been horrible. Not only does retail exists but its dying, now with its classic versions ypu keep dividing the playerbase even further.

I remember in the speculation and hype around SC: Ghost and Titan, neither of which ended up existing. There hasn't been anything like that regarding their survival game aside from how spectacularly they'll frick it up. The drop off Blizzard had over the past decade+ is kind of sad.

People think that the older expansions made a lot of profit because Blizzard claimed to have like 100m subs due to the number scummery they did with the Chinese pay-by-the-hour sub model (that did not earn them a lot of money in the end, hence them changing it). That said I wanted a real classic+ instead of these shit expansion because everything past classic is terrible and classic launch was the most fun I had in a video game in a long time. Dungeons are relatively safe. They are completely safe if you follow the mechanics, but bad players have trouble with Gnomer and Ulda because they ignore common sense. Still deaths there are rare. Most deaths you see are people trying to do risky things in the open world.

I remember in the speculation and hype around SC: Ghost and Titan, neither of which ended up existing. There hasn't been anything like that regarding their survival game aside from how spectacularly they'll frick it up. The drop off Blizzard had over the past decade+ is kind of sad.

The only way things will change is if Microsoft spends a boatload of cash to bring back some of the old guard leadership, since I think Blizzard's main problem is that there's nobody running any of their games who has a grand vision of what they want the game to become.

I know BFA was actually pretty good the first raid and dungeons were top tier.
People think that the older expansions made a lot of profit because Blizzard claimed to have like 100m subs due to the number scummery they did with the Chinese pay-by-the-hour sub model (that did not earn them a lot of money in the end, hence them changing it). I'm not surprised they starting making money when they add microtransactions and sold gold officially.
Gold selling and RMT boosts are just allowed now anyway without even going through the WoW token. Blizzard let the game turn into a platform for third worlders to make a living because they know having thirdies running bot farms 24/7 is good for player metrics.

people got to 60 and cleared everything up to AQ40. MC is a cakewalk with wbuffs.
That said I wanted a real classic+ instead of these shit expansion because everything past classic is terrible and classic launch was the most fun I had in a video game in a long time. The thing that really irks me to no end about Classic WoW and it's not even a big deal or something I really care about, it's just like a never ending itchy scab I don't want to pull off yet, is during Season of Mastery they introduced that gender bender twink incubus model for warlocks into the game but didn't give Tauren druids a cooler catform or remove the horns entirely because they look so fricking stupid or Troll shaman with Tauren themed totems when it was never like that in Warcraft

Dungeons are relatively safe. They are completely safe if you follow the mechanics, but bad players have trouble with Gnomer and Ulda because they ignore common sense. Still deaths there are rare. Most deaths you see are people trying to do risky things in the open world.
