These "Arathi" are a group from the original kingdom that left on some expedition like a thousand years before the dark portal opened
Anduin Lothar's still a toss up. They specifically went out their way to make every NPC in Harrowfell a Half Elf. It's equally as likely that while Anduin died without any heirs, he turns out not to be the last of the Lothar bloodline and having some long lost Human relative who hooked up with a Dark Elf at some point, when these Arathi went underground.

Streaming destroyed socialization in games. It used to be that the only way was to socialize in-game (on vent/TS/mumble/etc. not that everyone did, but it was the only way). Now with the advent of streaming, people don't play the games themselves at all, and even if they do, a lot are playing it just to interact with some streamer in a 1-way dynamic. You see this every time in vanilla wow, thousands of people just play to follow around a streamer or try and kill them. Or they just play solo and have a streamer on in the background pretending like they have a friend.
it used to be a complex and dynamic web of random 2-way connections, but that was considered to inconvenient so now by the fault of streamers, audiences, and game studios designing to facilitate the convenience, everything went to a small group of people with all the connections exclusively routed towards them, and only in a 1-way fashion, and then those central points have a handful of 2-way communication lines only with other streamers. You can't have a thriving MMO ecosystem when the majority of people are happier just watching other people play them.

Streaming destroyed socialization in games. It used to be that the only way was to socialize in-game (on vent/TS/mumble/etc. not that everyone did, but it was the only way). Now with the advent of streaming, people don't play the games themselves at all, and even if they do, a lot are playing it just to interact with some streamer in a 1-way dynamic. You see this every time in vanilla wow, thousands of people just play to follow around a streamer or try and kill them. Or they just play solo and have a streamer on in the background pretending like they have a friend.
it used to be a complex and dynamic web of random 2-way connections, but that was considered to inconvenient so now by the fault of streamers, audiences, and game studios designing to facilitate the convenience, everything went to a small group of people with all the connections exclusively routed towards them, and only in a 1-way fashion, and then those central points have a handful of 2-way communication lines only with other streamers. You can't have a thriving MMO ecosystem when the majority of people are happier just watching other people play them.

I doubt it, they almost wrote a compelling story in dragonflight where we were the bad guys and then quickly backtracked and ended it without any real conclusion.
