I wouldn't call him the worst but yeah, this guy wasn't great

I get an item, I use it
I never knew Margit had a shackle (in fact I missed Patched entirely), I found Mohg's shackle but was too stupid to understand its purpose
Fun thing to know: You can use margit's shackle to reveal fake walls and it has a pretty wide range.

This was the real problem with the fight. I played with Ultra greatswords and didn't need ot learn his moveset, I just traded blows with him and eventually killed him because his HP is way too low.
With a higher HP pool this boss would be amazing
I also like the item, because unlike the shackles, it requires some skill to use

Malenia dies fast to 2 UG weapons. A boss should be possible through trades if you have high life/big damage that is the point of slow/high damage in a rpg.

Run up? You get like 2 jump attacks for free and he usually does something easy to avoid after he recovers so its back to neutral.
It's just counter intuitive than an enemy you disabled is moving backwards (especially since the Claw functions like an easier parry and parried enemies certainly don't scurry away)

Not worth complaining about it though. His animation is also him covering his blinded eyes staggering back and swinging slowly/without accuracy. So it makes sense. Hes also a specific story boss. This seems like a nit pick for no reason from a weird parry homosexual who cannot just hold forward run the moment he lands the parry.

I'm visiting the haligtree right now. How do I go to farum azula? Is it optional? Can I miss it definitely for this current run if I "missed one hidden npc that spawns in the middle of nowhere where you don't have any reasons to go™" like it always happens in soulborne games?
Farum Azula is when you burn the Erdtree with Malenia after Fire Giant
You cannot miss it since it's mandatory to get the ending
if anything, you are currently in the "missed one npc" path, Haligtree is optional and its end boss is much harder than the "real" ending bosses.

Pic unrelated? Quantity over quality doesn't actually mean anything in practice and it's just something for people to say without really backing anything up. DS1 has the worst bosses and the least of them. In 2 more bosses than not at least reach a good enough quality threshold. Even something mediocre like Covetous Demon is still a fundamentally sound boss that isn't broken or frustrating. There's no Bed of Chaos or Dragon God.

Sure but DS2 had a lot more bosses to burn, so even if there's around 10 bad ones, it still has the best line up from the PS3/360 souls games.
DeS has far worse bosses than DS2.
There's so much fricking setup for every major fight in the game and all of the most feared and legendary being of that world end up being a fricking joke.

Malenia is 300x worse. At least Malekith follows rules, gives big, consistent openings, and trades health for his damage. Malenia is a fricking DeviantArt OC in boss form.
nah malenia is easy compared to other bosses in the same game, the only catch is waterfowl and you can just equip BS if you dont feel like learning the timing

I wish the fight started with him at full health or that it refilled. You can basically start with him at 40% HP if you hit beast clergyman with a good ash of war to begin the 2nd phase

I hate the fire giant so much, Fromsoft CAN'T do fights with giant monsters at all. The camera don't work with them, the lock don't work, you can't see shit if you're fighting them melee. Strangely I killed him in less than 10 seconds during the second phase. I know they worked a lot on animating him and it looked impressive and all but I didn't have the time to appreciate it. The very moment he opened his eye I threw everything I had and it was over in a blink. The first phase was so cancerous that I took the opportunity to kill him as fast as possible. What a waste.

Elden beast is the worst
Him and Malenia are absolute aids. Every time I fight him I make sure to have Waifu Tiche at 10, rotten breath and chadhound step.
Malenia is aids solo, but two people flicking between bonks does the job
I just cheese his ass. He is not a boss worth 'gitting gud' at. Fire a mimic ash up his ass then use the cheapest crap your build has access to.
