eh, 4 is good but no, it's underwhelming considering how long it took. Same goes for 3. I don't think enough people inside Nintendo give a frick about pikmin so they had to find a co-developer. feels like the series will get canned once miyamoto retires.

      >it's underwhelming considering how long it took
I dont get this mind set, same thing with zelda.
If there's 20 years between installs, that doesnt mean it should be a 11/10.
They havent been working 24/7 on pikmin 4 since they wrapped up 3.
The time between games should not set higher expectations. It makes no fricking sense, unless they rushed the last one

The sensation that is taking place when you experience boobs is hard to formulate. First of, they appear very esthetic. They come in different colors, shapes and sizes. With that kind of a variety, it is hard to imagine that one does not find a pair that pleases his eyes. Plus, if they are in motion they jiggle.

Second, is the way they feel. A boob can come in different levels of density. If a hand is put on either of the heavenly pieces of flesh, a warm and squishy object can be felt. The emotions taking place while touching a titty can be hardly explained. However, dopamine will be set free and if you are a male, chances are that blood will take a journey to your lower regions.

Penultimately, boobs are the reason that mankind exists. How is that? - you may ask. In early ages of the homosexual sapiens existence and even the previous species, sucking on breasts kept infants from starving. As mammals, which I assume we all are, sucking milk is nutritious and it ensures that we grow.

Last but definitely not least, they not only come in paires, but they are a part of a female human beings body. If you get to see boobs in a sexual fashion, chances are that the female presenting them to you does so, because they want to share their natural beauty with you. Boobs are attached to Women. So next time you look at a pair of jahoobies, take a second to tilt your head slightly upward. What you can see is a head. Eyes are attached to said head and if you look into them deeply, you might experience a connection which even goes deeper than your connection to boobs. Although this seems weird, I assure you that giving it a try could be beneficial.

Honestly the challenge of the Sage Trails is doing them early without the end-game upgrades
Which just makes the end-game upgrades worthless since you unlock them when you've done everything, and the fact that Pluckaphone is yet again something that's unlocked by the time you've done everything is bullshit

Pik4 only gets really good in dungeons and postgame. Oatchi's charge is OP and the dog breaks the dynamics between the player and Pikmin.

Honestly yes. It feels more like a classic pikmin game than 3 did.

Bit of a loaded question. The way things went, we HAD to wait 10 years for this game because the series never performed to Nintendo's expectations of what it should be. So it was rethought and retweaked and delayed and delayed. The end result is better than it should've been based on what I'd call a difficult development period.

But in no way does that make it reasonable to expect that a game like this should take 10 years. No no no. I absolutely believe we can get a better pikmin game than this in less time. It just needs a team behind it with faith that the product will do well, the funding to pursue it and the scheduling to get it done.

Not really. I'm enjoying pikimin 4 but it is far from perfect and I think the first 2 games are better.
My biggest gripe is not being a lone explorer. I hate the cast not only do I not like their inclusion just in general but they are all annoying as frick on top of it. They make me actively care less about what's going on. They talk too much, have shitty personalities and interrupt gameplay with their dribble. I used to get sad when my pikimin would get massacred and now these fricks will come in like a reaction video when they die and I legit stop caring because of their presence, stop telling me how to feel please.
The dog makes the game way too easy and kills the atmosphere. I wanna command a pikimin army, I don't care about the weird dog. And you can't tell it to wait on the ship or something so if you don't like it you don't have to deal with it. Maybe if you had limited access to the dog or he didn't join you until near the end of the game he would've been fine but as is I just want him to frick off so I can toss my pikimin around.
And my final major complaint with the game is it lacks a backbone and the cast or rescue losers and dog play a part in this. I like the original pikimin because of the contrast, the pikimin were cute and funny but the planet you were on was hostile as frick. Everything beside the pikimin wanted you dead, you couldn't be out at night and you were a lone explorer in a survive or die scenario. In pikimin 4 Everything is too cutesy, you have a team of morons jabbering in your ear so the stuck alone feeling is gone, the dog is too op so you feel safer exploring and even though it still has hostile wildlife and you aren't supposed to be out at night the overall atmosphere still lacks and scary feel to it. Everything is cute so nothing is and It lacks stakes.
I still enjoy pikimin 4 just because I do love the pikimin themselves so much and it's an easy game to play on and off with my schedule but it's kinda a disappointment

  12. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

The very first thing I did after playing 4 was went right back and ran 1 again.
I fricking hate how every design decision that goes into Pikmin since 2 has been to appeal to normalshitters.

  13. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

Yes but it's still a butchered experience with a lot of handholding. They fixed the AI but now you have to deal with wonky targeting and controller lock. The zones are nice but not as wild as the first 2 games. The enemies were cool and having all pikmin types were nice but you never feel overwhelmed or have a need to get more seeds.
    1 > 2 > 4 > 3

It's less strategic, but still fun in its own way
And the caves are not cancer like in 2

They're shills. Just one look at the UI will tell you everything you need to know.

      The bad
      >The UI lost it's soul
      >Oatchi CAN make the game feel easy
      >Enemies don't respawn
      >Previous game's stories are possibly a dream
      >Auto-lock on can be considered a detriment

      The Good
      >Pikmin pathing is perfected
      >Gameplay is incredibly clean, very few frustrating moments
      >Game looks beautiful
      >Onion looks x10 better than 3
      >Selecting and throwing Pikmin is the best it's ever been, anyone who doesn't mention how fricking aids it was when you had to wait 10 seconds for your Pikmin to bunch up properly is a Pikmin 2 shill
      >Can just opt to not upgrade Oatchi for a harder experience but people seem to ignore this fact
      >Game is full of soul, Pikmin sing previous songs in the franchise, enemies and Pikmin have tons of animation
      >The characters are actually pretty interesting in this game, all of the crew have their quirks and stand out
      >Dandori challenges are fun and engaging
      >Gathering materials is much more efficient now
      >Game is full of stuff to do without it turning into a bit of a slog like the end of Pikmin 2, no, putting endless generic cave levels is not a good way of padding the game

      Personal Gripe
      >I wish treasure wasn't just littered everywhere and was more like Pikmin 1 where everything felt meaningful, but that can apply to 2, 3 and 4

I'd say it's quite easily the best in the franchise

        don't respawn
What were they thinking? At least make it like caves when you 100% it, they respawn every 2 or 3 days.
Some ideas for an update: Add Auto-Lockon toggle and fix enemy respawn

          Anonymous

Auto-lock on should have really been a toggle, it's kind of insane that it's not, invalidates anyone who played the first 3 by making it forced even if it works fine

Is Pikmin 3 really that bad? It was the only pikmin game I've played I just assumed the game wasn't for me. The idea of RTS without mouse is not something I like entertaining. It never feels good to play for that reason alone. But I disliked it enough it really turned me off on the idea of even giving pikmin 4 a fair chance. modern UI looks terrible and out of place in games like Mario and Zelda, but I actually thought it looked good in Pikmin, since it fits in with the light science fiction theme. It looks like some kind of computer or projection built into the spacesuits.

    Pikmin 5 ideas:

    >UI returns to classic bubble aesthetic and story likely returns to an Olimar and Louie one.
    >Much larger areas, even more so than 4. Maybe five areas total, with each area having at least 4 caves.
    >area themes would be: classic forest garden area, beach area, mountainside/cliffside area, abandoned city area and house area (sorta like Hero’s Hideaway but covering more ground).
    >Caves are completely reworked. No longer enemy gauntlet dungeon crawler levels and are now simply extensions of the overworld more or less that provide more variety in locations and visuals.
    >they function more closely to Zelda dungeons, with puzzles to solve in order to get to the boss and treasure at the end. Think pic related. Some will be more linear, like classic caves, but none to the same extent of 2.
    >in terms of bosses, this game will strike a keen balance between 3’s fewer but gigantic set piece boss battles and 2/4’s smaller, end-of-cave-like bosses. The smaller, more traditional bosses will of course be in caves and lots of mini-bosses throughout the game, however each overworld area will have a single Pikmin 3 style boss to act as the apex predator. These larger bosses will likely signify that an overworld is basically complete once you’ve defeated it.
    >visually, the areas will hold the hyper realistic visuals of Pikmin 3, with less “video-gamey” structure and uniformity, such as all of the caves in 4 having sprinkler valve covers and entrances, even in places where that doesn’t make sense.
    >cave entrances, exits and everything in between will be designed to look as realistic as possible. Some will start off by entering through a sewer grate, while others will simply be a hole in the wall.
    >the enemies and characters, however, will keep the signature cartoony look that Pikmin 4 returned to, instead of Pikmin 3’s hyper realistic art style when it comes to enemies.
