I mean, only two of the forces of nature are mischievous and cause problems. And the other two keeps them in check, so there's no need for the Swords of Justice to intervene. These legendaries, however, I see them being rivals, because: >Part Fighting quartet vs Part Dark quartet >Justice vs Evil
Anon, the Four Perils are literally the antithesis to the Four Symbols in their shared mythology. The genies are enemies of the new legendaries if they carry over their mythology properly.
They kept humans in line because humans were destroying the environment and hurting pokemon in their wars. If some pokemon were doing the same thing, they would've done the same. In the movie, they stood against Kyurem to save Keldeo from a brutal beating. They would never stand aside for injustice.

People missed the part of their dislike of humans comes from their actions, not because they're humans.

They stood against Kyurem because it was trying to kill their protege and they have multiple dex entries saying they're going to frick up anything that tries to hurt their friends. It's not a sense of justice, it's loyalty to their group.

They explicitly don't give a shit about other Pokemon as long as the group's not getting hurt, the sole exception is Terrakion's singular dex entry saying that it doesn't like it when small Pokemon are bullied.
The names sound like they weren't meant to be in the English version
Ni-Hau and Bing-Chilling should have been called some kind of pun related to leaf pile and the sharp biting fangs/sharp coldness, I dunno
The perils are more likely counterparts to the alolan deities. Both groups have a signature move that is a super fang clone, both groups have a unique non-english names, and both groups are opposing types
The gen 5 ones are so ugly in comparison its not even funny
Their designs are more simple in comparison, I agree.
Terrakion is the only one that's aggressively stupid looking. The others aren't great but aren't terrible either.
As for the perils, the ice ferret looks ok here but its model is atrocious.
Terrain is the only good one moron
All the other 3 except maybe virizion are so ugly
yeah they look like fricking mlp characters
Who still thinks about mlp in 2022?
me whenever gen 5's awful designs are posted
So, you're admitting you're a brony?
no
>Ting Lu mating presses Virizion
Bones fuel
I like it, but I raise you one
>Wo-Chien mating presses Virizion
More likely to be rivals with the forces of nature.

That's pretty neat.
Interesting, I didn't know that. Still, the swordsmen wouldn't take evil legendaries doing bad things sitting down, would they?
They would. They don't give a singular shit about Pokemon activities, their whole schtick is keeping humans in line.

Why wouldn't they fight evil in whatever form its in if its causing chaos and destruction like they did?
>deer blanks thundurus's lightning
>goldfish tanks Enamorous's gay vibes
>leopard fricking massacres lornadus
>Snail resists lando's earthquakes
hmm
>Enamorous's gay vibes
It's female though
Good vs evil.
Snail mogs the rest so hard
I’m just impressed Gamefreak gave us our first actually good sublegendary group since like gen 3
maybe since paradox virizion is a thing
Someone fricking greenlit the Swords of Justice...
Yeah?
Gen 5 is a complete trainwreck if that's the best designs they could get
Subjective and off-topic.
>Pokemon
>off-topic
???
This thread is about whether they be rivals, not muh gen battles.
>off-hand comment = genwarring
Why are you so sensitive?
Nta but you just went "gen 5 is sooo shit guys" totally unprompted
No but the genies would rival the perils
why does that thing wear the bowl that way? it's completely impractical
Its actual body is the bowl anon. The evil Pokemon are object mons.
The names sound like they weren't meant to be in the English version
Ni-Hau and Bing-Chilling should have been called some kind of pun related to leaf pile and the sharp biting fangs/sharp coldness, I dunno
They are actually imported evil objects from PokeChina, so the names make sense with the game's lore.
10% less weird I guess
They still just look/sound like real chinese words to me instead of pokemon names
>order a bowl from AliExpress
>it's cursed and turns into an evil Pokémon
>destroys the entire neighborhood
>mfw they won't let me return it
You do realize that multiple Pokemon names are just unaltered Japanese words, right? Why is something like Togedemaru okay but this isn't?
Man, the sword of justice looks like crap.
The perils are more likely counterparts to the alolan deities. Both groups have a signature move that is a super fang clone, both groups have a unique non-english names, and both groups are opposing types
I still don't know what animal the goblet one is supposed to be.
gen 5: musketeers
gen 7: tapus
gen 9: chinese people
gen 11: ???
