She sadly is because the way she works goes against Anemo's identity. All her skills pushes people away instead of grouping them so she doesn't really enable VV setups properly for a lot of team as well as poor AOE. But Jean's burst heals and ticks is what makes her good with Furina.
Like, you can actually swap out Kokomi and Kazuha in Ayaka freeze and use Jean Furina instead and it does more damage since you have a guarantee Jean will max out Fanfare stacks.
Furina wants to be paired with a healer who can heal the entire party. Noelle can heal the entire party while going full unga bunga, it's great synergy if energy needs can be met
Noelle is already cracked. Better hypercarry than Itto and can clear every abyss pretty comfy (Yun Jin, Gorou, Mona is my Noelle team). Archaic Petra Noelle seems like she might be a really fricking good on-fielder for a Furina+Yelan+Kazuha team though.
Furina is actually gonna make Qiqi really good too, especially paired with a high hp drain unit like Neuvillette
Her hitbox is wider, her infusion lasts longer and can be extended, you can swap off as much as you want, and she shields herself, plus full team healing.
Noelle's new team is beastly and its specifically because she heals the entire team while onfield. Itto can't compete, he's going to have to hope Navia gives him a buff.

Can anyone tell me about Furina's status and what her role will be in the game? Is it necessary to have rolled for other Fontaine dolls to be able to enjoy the brat, or are older characters from past regions viable?
Furina is gonna be golden in a Healer heavy meta. She doesn't replace Yelan or Xingqiu, she creates her own meta, which is the most interesting thing they could have done.
She's also running alongside Baizhu and it's not s coincidence since his kit synergizes well. Kokomi also benefits from Furina unlike those who said she'd be fricking dead because of her.
And some leaks are leaning towards Arlecchino being HP/Death focused in AOE so basically Pyro Childe. I can see the best Fontaine team being Neuvillette Arlecchino Furina and whatever healer you want.
According to the leaks, very late into Fontaine. 4.6 is what most are leaning towards. Again I'm getting Furina and skipping everyone for Arlecchino. Chlorinde seems to be a more restrictive Raiden and Navia is Geo.
Cloud Retainer (Anemo Yelan) still sometimes mentioned but again, take this with a grain of salt.

I allocate a yearly budget for Gaming. Considering I never buy the new AAA slop anymore, I can afford Welkin in Genshin and it's not anymore expensive than buying a game per year. 3 games if you take the BP on top.
The only dogshit aspect of Genshin is the weapon banner but thankfully, most characters have access to decent 4* and free options.
So while I don't need to spend and already finish the hard content, I do because it doesn't go over budget and I get characters I like.

if you look at stuff like keqingmains, in a best case scenario having a character's weapon makes them like 9% more powerful than a decent 4* and 6% more powerful than their best 4*.

Oh I know that's why I said good free options. If you don't have C1 on Yelan, don't bother with Simulacra. I was lucky and got 2 as well as Homa and Nahida's lamp. I tend to avoid banners unless I really like the character because I can waste up to 240 wishes on those in worst case scenario. >4* sword look bad

Why do you morons think you can criticize a game without playing it?
Genshin is easily the most generous AAA gacha on the market, hell with just the $5/mo subscription you can get 80% of the cast and some 5* weapons.
No, Genshin's real problems are how you can't skip it's shitty story, there is NO endgame so all your shiny outfitted units are just for show and the game is easy as frick, gacha is only a super poorgay problem if you don't even have 5$ to spend and even without that you can get like 50% of the cast because there is a lot of free currency in-game and the gacha has pity mechanics, so even in the worst case scenario you can get what you want if you save.
You can carry 20 copies of the same strongest weapon and get new ones in 2 minutes if they break instead of having to roll for them, so that puts it above Genshin for me.
I still don't understand why they're not going for it because yeah, people would unironically throw money at them for decent skins.
There's no way they lack people to do that, are they scared of bloating the game's size because of them or something? We get them so rarely that even if they stopped releasing new characters, it would still take years for us to get one alt costume for each character.

I don't think that's it, they don't seem to have a problem putting Lumine/Ather into different clothes for ads and other stuff. It's true that they kind of shot themselves in the foot by using the same five or so playable models so the clothes are often the main thing that makes the characters look different from one another and giving everyone a bunch of costumes would just blur the lines I guess.
I'd still like it if they picked up the pace so that one day we might have that one alt costume for everyone.

It really depends on how popular the game is for artists. For the past 10 years, franchises like KanColle, Idolmaster, Love Live were very popular so we had many doujin during comiket. So you can cum when using these.
[serious] honestly probably? i'm indifferent, i like characters that help immerse you in the world the most. If something is overly sexualized or obvious coombait it snaps me out of it. Unironically genshin seems pretty subtle about it in-game so it's had staying power.
Theres a frick ton of mods though, nsfw ones too. So i'd definitely bet on at least half the userbase being incel men or unironically fujo women, probably with a small sprinkling of gays. i would imagine at least 70% of the userbase is under the age of 20, and 90% of those users are what i just described.
the remaining 30% are probably above 20 (most above 25) and just like jrpgs or exploration/completionist based gameplay.

There's only four character slots in a team, why would you want to keep pulling new units like a hoarder instead of investing more on the ones you use. Are you trying to fill a stadium's worth of benches?
There's even less point in rolling weapons after a point because they make up only a fraction of a character's strength and the Abyss is the only thing that "tests" your characters, that itself never gets any harder and has been a snooze for years at this point, so it's more interesting to collect characters that you can learn to play/team build.

I stopped for a while, but started it up again during Sumeru and have kept it up since. It's the only thing worth paying for. The BP is also a decent value if you're just starting out and want the extra supplies/crit weapon, but eventually isn't worth it.
I want to say the BP isn't as shit as it seems when you've been playing for 1 year+, but it really feels like it is. I think part of it is just playing more casually over time and while it's easy for it to hit 50 you still might spare a thought or two for it.

Even in terms of just value per roll (ignoring all of the other stuff it gives you and just focusing on the purple fates and primos) it's still better than any of the gem packages,so if you're someone who knows they'll eventually get those you're better of getting every BP to "save" for that eventuality.

And standard cutscenes make the majority of Genshin and these cutscenes are just still idling poses then zooming in. As the years go by it's harder to stomach how Genshin doesn't improve the quality of its many cutscenes compared to AAA games.
It would be more honest to say Genshin is the highest production gacha game, but it's still within the threshold of anime budget games from Namco like 3D license manga arena fighters that plague the industry.

I just like to walk around Fontaine, climb the mountains, swim in the seas and farm overworld mobs. It nets me frick all, but when you catch Raiden in that sunset, it's all worth it.
Not even close, the Aranaras questline is the longest so far, more so if you do extra shit like finding all the wood people in the overworld and the epilogue missions.

I think it's the tunnel northeast out of where you are on the minimap, but the easiest way to find it is to go down from the pond that has the underwater cave that leads down there and follow the tunnels toward the village.
I do not understand why people still haven't broken free of gacha shit. No matter how much you pay to max out any character, the devs will just intentionally make them obsolete to get more money, forever. The gameplay isn't even fun unless you manage to pull the right combination of characters & weapons, and spend many hours gearing them in a system designed to make that as difficult and time consuming as possible.
Hoyo goes to any lengths it can to make sure old characters DON'T become obsolete. Ganyu, Venti, Hu Tao and other old top tier units are still great to this day.
Those characters are/were only available during extremely limited banners. If you miss them, your team building options are lacking for a year or more. I'm very glad that I no longer play Genshin, it's not for me.
To be fair the closer you get to a perfect team in genshin arguably the less fun it gets, not the other way around. You hit a point where all combat becomes too trivial.
I have a c6 Eula. Someone who is considered a garbage unit with the most garbage damage type and the most garbage support characters. She absolutely deletes the hardest content in the game, she makes low investment meta picks look like clowns. If they ever decide to make her obsolete the entire current roster will become unplayable.
I spent months to a year waiting for Zhongli to come back, because I really wanted him, my favorite character design. When I finally got him, I quit the day after. It's in their best interest to keep people from getting what they want most.

She sadly is because the way she works goes against Anemo's identity. All her skills pushes people away instead of grouping them so she doesn't really enable VV setups properly for a lot of team as well as poor AOE. But Jean's burst heals and ticks is what makes her good with Furina.
Like, you can actually swap out Kokomi and Kazuha in Ayaka freeze and use Jean Furina instead and it does more damage since you have a guarantee Jean will max out Fanfare stacks.
I still use her to 36* abyss, but it's in teams where CC is not much of a necessity.

Furina is gonna be golden in a Healer heavy meta. She doesn't replace Yelan or Xingqiu, she creates her own meta, which is the most interesting thing they could have done.
She's also running alongside Baizhu and it's not s coincidence since his kit synergizes well. Kokomi also benefits from Furina unlike those who said she'd be fricking dead because of her.
And some leaks are leaning towards Arlecchino being HP/Death focused in AOE so basically Pyro Childe. I can see the best Fontaine team being Neuvillette Arlecchino Furina and whatever healer you want.

if you look at stuff like keqingmains, in a best case scenario having a character's weapon makes them like 9% more powerful than a decent 4* and 6% more powerful than their best 4*.

Genshin is easily the most generous AAA gacha on the market, hell with just the $5/mo subscription you can get 80% of the cast and some 5* weapons.
No, Genshin's real problems are how you can't skip it's shitty story, there is NO endgame so all your shiny outfitted units are just for show and the game is easy as frick, gacha is only a super poorgay problem if you don't even have 5$ to spend and even without that you can get like 50% of the cast because there is a lot of free currency in-game and the gacha has pity mechanics, so even in the worst case scenario you can get what you want if you save.
It doesn't have BoTW/ToTK's weapon durability, so that already puts it above those games for me.

There's only four character slots in a team, why would you want to keep pulling new units like a hoarder instead of investing more on the ones you use. Are you trying to fill a stadium's worth of benches?
There's even less point in rolling weapons after a point because they make up only a fraction of a character's strength and the Abyss is the only thing that "tests" your characters, that itself never gets any harder and has been a snooze for years at this point, so it's more interesting to collect characters that you can learn to play/team build.

I stopped for a while, but started it up again during Sumeru and have kept it up since. It's the only thing worth paying for. The BP is also a decent value if you're just starting out and want the extra supplies/crit weapon, but eventually isn't worth it.
I want to say the BP isn't as shit as it seems when you've been playing for 1 year+, but it really feels like it is. I think part of it is just playing more casually over time and while it's easy for it to hit 50 you still might spare a thought or two for it.

I think it's the tunnel northeast out of where you are on the minimap, but the easiest way to find it is to go down from the pond that has the underwater cave that leads down there and follow the tunnels toward the village.

I do not understand why people still haven't broken free of gacha shit. No matter how much you pay to max out any character, the devs will just intentionally make them obsolete to get more money, forever. The gameplay isn't even fun unless you manage to pull the right combination of characters & weapons, and spend many hours gearing them in a system designed to make that as difficult and time consuming as possible.

Hoyo goes to any lengths it can to make sure old characters DON'T become obsolete. Ganyu, Venti, Hu Tao and other old top tier units are still great to this day.
Those characters are/were only available during extremely limited banners. If you miss them, your team building options are lacking for a year or more. I'm very glad that I no longer play Genshin, it's not for me.
To be fair the closer you get to a perfect team in genshin arguably the less fun it gets, not the other way around. You hit a point where all combat becomes too trivial.
I have a c6 Eula. Someone who is considered a garbage unit with the most garbage damage type and the most garbage support characters. She absolutely deletes the hardest content in the game, she makes low investment meta picks look like clowns. If they ever decide to make her obsolete the entire current roster will become unplayable.
I spent months to a year waiting for Zhongli to come back, because I really wanted him, my favorite character design. When I finally got him, I quit the day after. It's in their best interest to keep people from getting what they want most.
